i had the pork belly and it was very salty also the pate came with brioche and i dont think it was a good match brioche is to sweet.

Food was fabulous. We waited quite a while before being asked if we wanted a drink. It wasn’t that busy so I can’t see why it took so long for service. I would have given them a six otherwise

Excellent meal as it was a great day so we set in the outdoor area. The service was great and we had the May special Salmon with Asperegas was beautiful.

It was rather disorganised. Very difficult to get anyone’s attention and it didn’t appear servers had assigned tables as we had different people throughout. It wasn’t busy call considering how nice the weather was, which made the slow service all the more surprising.

When we cannot agree where to eat, this is our fall-back choice. It is always fantastic with great food, wines and service. Above all, the quality does not come at an exorbitant price. We are just as happy with the well-priced set menus as with the a la carte offerings. Location is great too.

Lovely setting on the canal, great service, food was great value for money and pretty decent. The camembert starter wasn't the best ever but not bad. Butternut squash cake was delicious!

Lovely cosy restaurant right by the canal - nice to sit out when the weather permits, but this is England of course. Great service, and all the regular favourtites enlivened by some good specials this month. Try the cod! Yummy.

Great food as always but starters were forgotten and had to remind staff and after desserts were served we weren’t seen to. I had to chase staff for the bill.

A great selection of food and wines with very happy and helpful staff, set in a nice location, close to the canals. I highly recommend a visit.

Food was great as usual but on this Sunday night it was obviously the B team front of house. They were inattentive in the main, too slow in serving and there were also not enough of them. It took over two and a half hours to complete our meal, not good enough.

Cote is normally a really safe place to chose to eat, however last night, the service just wasn’t there. Our waiter forgot things we’d asked for, ordered us the wrong sauce, and didn’t ask us how our food was. It wasn’t busy and there were plenty of staff but I had to get the attention of staff to order a desert and then to request the bill. We finished our drinks half way through our mains and were never asked if we would like another - and then we were brought 2 bills, clearly no communication. I also am disappointed that cote has become a restaurant to automatically add a service charge - this assumption in the restaurant industry needs to be gotten rid of - because I had bad service but I felt I had to contribute a service charge anyway - to staff that are already being paid.

Have eaten at Cote many times . Food is always excellent and the service is exceptional. The prices for food and wine are very reasonable .

Excellent restaurant serving authentic French cuisine. Prices are reasonable for the Mail Box. Compared itself to Pierre Bistro but is probably doing itself an injustice. The ambiance is casual but in the sane breath sophisticated

Good value early evening fixed price menu. Food was mostly good. Service fine but over zealous - kept coming back when we'd asked for more time!

Menu a bit limited. My friend’s steak was underdone, although we were generously compensated for that. Ladies toilets blocked. Staff friendly and courteous. Seating comfortable.

I have visited this restaurant on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is delicious.

Excellent service. Manager very polite and professional. I was about to leave a tip but the manager reminded, service charge has been included already. 100 % recommended.

Busy evening as the sun was out! Service not as quick as normal because of this but food delicious as always. On slight niggle was that we are always asked if there is if we are celebrating anything which we were, and the lady said she would make a note and more than likely be given a Kir Royale which I believe is standard practice. Nothing on arrival and had to ask twice and for it then to be added on to the bill!! Still won’t stop me coming back though!!!

Really great, tasty food but unfortunately service was a little slow which meant our children became restless. We declined dessert as a result and probably wouldn’t rush back.

Food was great especially the duck but service was all over the place had to attract server to order every course and to pay at the end

We had a really delicious meals. There were four of us (two vegetarian) and we found the choice very good. Service excellent, we were left alone to enjoy ourselves ( no asking every few minutes if everything was satisfactory) and we weren't hurried out either. A really enjoyable meal. Thank you.

HAD AN EXCELLANT MEAL WHICH WAS GREAT VALUE WOULD HAVE SCORED 6 BUT HAD NO ONE THERE TO GREET NEW ARRIVALS .APART FROM THAT AN GOOD EVENING WAS ENJOYED BY ALL

After ordering part of our starter arrived then whilst still waiting for the remaining part our main course arrived together with the rest of the starter, we were asked if we wanted our main course at this time but we declined it so we could eat the starter, after a couple of minutes the main course came out again, again it was sent back, when we did finish our starter we then sat for around 10 minuets with the empty plates before they were cleared & the mains arrived again. It’s a shame as the food was excellent there just seemed to be a service problem.

Great service and food. Wine good value. Setting was great. Seating outside was great in the sunshine. Busy, well attended restaurant. Will book again for lunch soon.

Great service and the meal was very good quality and very good value for money. The Merlot was also very pleasant. I would recommend the restaurant for lunch.

It was a lovely evening, food was very good although the waitress did make a couple of mistakes with the order but the Manager put this right quite quickly, although there was no apology.

Good service and unpretentious very flavourful food. We had a lovely evening and have paid a lot more for a far worse meal. One minor criticism is that I would have a pud but after 20 minutes of waiting no one asked so decided against it. Maybe saved me from myself😁

We had the crab & avocado, the recommended beef bourguignon and the mussels. The crab and avocado was superb, so was the mussels. But the beef was a bit bitter. The service there was really good, and the price was really nice.

The food was really nice and much better than other chain restaurants. Our waiter didn’t bother us too much which I like and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and relaxed. let down by the ridiculous service charge added to the bill.

I’m a regular at Cote restaurants in London Service was poor I had to find someone to take a drinks order That was after 5 mins of no one coming to see me And the restaurant was quiet Meal was good as always Wanted a glass of wine Again I had to catch the attention of someone - not that easy !! Give me Cote Chiswick and Viktor any day !!!!

Pleasant and attentive service. Food good and reasonably priced. The pre-show/Theatre menu is very good value. Restaurant is consistently good and we will definitely return.

You can’t go wrong with cote the food is amazing and staff super friendly !!! The new set menu deal is also geat value for money .

Great food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere. Suitable for all generations from young children to our elderly family members. The Birmingham restaurant is well managed and we visit regularly.

Really good experience, nice atmosphere and really nice food. Amazing staff and the food came really quick. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing that bother me was that my food came really hot and it was hard for me to start eating it right away.

The service and food are absolutely wonderful. I like the set menu, always with latest update & lots of choices to choose from. Very affordable and guaranteed good food on offer.

Was very busy on arrival and staff seemed extremely stressed. Hence service was not the best and we're left waiting for silly things like a spoon for soup and starters arrived before aperitif etc. However food was very high standard as all cote I've been to and we had a lovely evening. They also knocked off a discretionary amount without proper owing to below par experience. Which was very gratefully received. I would recommend this restaurant and visit again.
