Côte Bath

Excellent meal, taking advantage of the free bottle of wine promotion. Tasty, crispy calamari to start, followed by an excellent Cote de Boeuf, complimented with Bearnaise sauce, with fries and creamed spinach; washed down with the very pleasant complimentary Merlot. After that we only had room for a couple of double espressos!

Delightful staff and tasty food. It is a lovely place to meet friends. The roast hake was well cooked and I had green beans in place of mash.

Have been to many a Cote restaurant - this one was average at best - service was ok nothing special - food was very bland - definitely will not be returning here

Lovely Meal last night with buzzy atmosphere, tasty food and attentive waiting staff. Fixed price menu excellent value for money. A place to return to frequently often.

Constantly good and food, service and ambience excellent. We always eat there when we go to Bath,as well as the Cotes in Bristol, Farnham and Sloane square.

Great food, great service, good value. Just a bit dark at the back of the Restaurant, otherwise perfect. Many places to choose from in Bath, but Cote is in the top few.

For us, La Cote is within walking distance of where we live, a major plus. Next, we like the atmosphere. Next, puds are good, as in creme caramel that we (husband and self) rate superior to brulee. Lamb was excellent.

It was my first time at the Bath restaurant. Nice venue with a good and relaxing midscale vibe. The set menu was, as always with Cote, excellent value at £13.95 for three courses. The egg and bacon salad was great, the coq au vin was exquisite with a fantastic mix of ingredients and flavours and creamy mash, and the milk chocolate mousse very nice and creamy. The house rose wine was also good. I ate upstairs. Service, from a young English waiter, was outstanding and rounded off the experience.

An excellent Cote in an excellent position. Lively and modern with attentive and friendly staff. Food was of the usual high quality and Frenchness oozed in abundance.

perfect lunch - delicious and healthy, and great value. My only issue is when full, as it was, the noise level is a bit high, but thats the same everywhere now! staff and service as lovely as ever.

Unusually this Cote visit was disappointing. The menu was limited with there being no steak frites/no crab starter and only one smoked salmon available. The staff were not attentive (as I have come to expect over the years) EG when asking for more water it never came...... The waitresses were more interested in their private conversations by the servery/bar and were in 'eyes averted mode' throughout. I would have commented but had three guests with me. Will try again but hope this was simply a Sunday evening aberration particularly as an Ivy has just opened in Bath. Michael

Staff couldn't have been more attentive (but not pushy) and the food was excellent. My lamb was exactly as ordered (medium-rare) and although it was a busy Saturday lunch-time, my sister and I had plenty of time to enjoy our meal.

Excellent service and helpful staff who were very attentive when required but not over the top so our meal could be enjoyed in peace! Nothing was too much trouble

As always when my friends and I visit Cote - wherever we might be staying - it was great. The early doors menu is such amazing value. The one in Bath which we went to this week is a lovely restaurant and the staff are great.

Restaurant staff were excellent and made the evening special. The food was okay, some thought it excellent, some okay - probably wise to go for the specials. Atmosphere great.

We use Cote regularly and have come to expect a level of standard. Unfortunately our visit to Cote Bath wasn't so good. Our appetisers didn't turn up, nor did our desserts, our server had forgotten to register these orders. In addition the coffees arrived cold. However despite this poor service the standard service charge was added to the bill. This was later taken off after we pointed out the problems with service. Cote Bath, improvement needed.

Food excellent, service good. Very busy place and we went on a Tuesday night. Overall it was well worth the visit, my only criticism, and I've already said they were busy, the staff could have been a little more attentive.

Everything was exceptional from the food to the service. We also liked the ambiance and the complimentary bottle of wine. We will definitely come again

Lunch with 4 friends, food not quite up to the usual high standards. Restaurant was quite busy and suspect plates were sitting for while before arriving at table. Staff pleasant and attentive as always.

My wife & I had the most wonderful lunch today with excellent food & drink, and perfect service with a lovely atmosphere in the dining area.

Superb food & service, highly recommended. Good choice & lunchtime offer good value. Lovely birthday choice for my Mum, free dessert with a candle for the birthday girl!

Food and service at Cote is reliably good, and usually good value. The main course I had on Saturday (fish goujons) was more like a starter size, with a small handful of fries. I felt short-changed, and hope that Cote isn't going down the route of many chain-restaurants where portion-control drives away customers (one of the reasons I don't go to Carluccio's anymore!)

Tasty food, but crepes slightly salty and over cooked. Sparking water ridiculously expensive. Good service - pleasant and efficient. The set lunch menu is good value for money.

It is always a relaxing pleasure to go to Cote in Bath. The service is attentive and professional but not over intrusive. I go every month.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and although the restaurant was not busy it had a nice ambiance. The food as always was good and the service pleasant and attentive.

My main course of a fish cake was a bit burnt and my poached egg on top was cold but I have rated it a five because the waiting staff were fantastic and gave me a complimentary glass of wine. My husbands food was marvellous

Brilliant. From the time we walked through the door until we left, the evening was one hundred per cent. Staff were willing to go the extra mile, the food and wine were value for money and the ambience was perfect. Thoroughly recommend this venue. Need to book at popular times due to the popularity of this restaurant.

Reliably good food, wide choice, friendly helpful staff as usual, pleasant atmosphere. Very good gluten free options on an actual menu - thank you, much nicer than having to look through a folder!
