Very noisy! Just the 2 of us and seated downstairs where there were large groups! Disappointed - not the chilled evening we had planned

This was a birthday meal and lived up to all expectations - the restaurant was busy but the two of us had a nice big table and could talk and enjoy a leisurely dinner.

Nice relaxing lunch after a hard mornings shopping in Bath. Mercifully we covered all the shops early and arrived 30 minutes before our booking - no problem, we were shown straight our table with no fuss. All good.

Having visited several Côte Brasserie restaurants this by far was very disappointing. One of the managing staff was very sweaty, this was observed as she leaned across one of our party. Our main server was sloppy in many aspects, taking the order, pouring the wine where water from the ice bucket was splashed over one of the diners. A broken glass, not cleared quickly neither the table cleaned for splinters. Two meals were served not to temperature, all in all a very poor experience.

Had and excellent meal, can’t fault the service, staff was very friendly.

After a rocky start with nowhere to put my heavy jersey cape, which can’t be hung up (we were moved to a new table with a spare chair, for my cape) the food was, as usual excellent and the service exemplary.

The starters (onion soup and roquefort and chicory salad) were delicious. The main courses (haddock parmentier and crepes were good, but both oversalted. Very attentive service.

We were sat on a table where we had passing traffic on three sides. Our ice bucket kept being knocked and it wasn't a very relaxing experience. Whilst our waitress was pleasant, we felt rushed to place our order. I appreciate that a Saturday lunchtime in December may be a high turnaround time but if we were only allowed an allocated time, I would have liked to know ahead.

Usual good food and service which was especially nice as we introduced to of our friends to the restaurant. The only downside for me was that we had requested a downstairs table which wasn’t available so we had to wait for one to be made ready and we didn’t receive our complimentary cocktails. Fortunately it didn’t spoil our visit but it could have enhanced it.

Usual warm welcome on arrival and allocated a nice table on the ground floor. Many great choices on the separate vegetarian food and wine menus. Food and service was excellent
