good selection of food, especially on the 'Prestige' pre-theatre set menu. This is much better than the standard and worth the extra.

We had a lovely meal with friendly waiters in a welcoming atmosphere, good food and good value. Complimentary kir royales were a very welcome bonus!

As usual the welcome we got a Cote Barbican was warm and friendly. We were escorted to a table of our choice and seated comfortably. The menu arrived and within 5 minutes of ordering drinks they arrived. Service excellent and the whole time we were there, just under two hours, was most pleasent.

Service was excellent. Overall the food was extremely good. One small issue was that 3 rare fillet steaks were medium by the time they reached us. The reason, I suspect, is that they were cooked correctly but the resting time while they sat on the pass waiting to be served took them too far. However - no real complaints and will return

What I love about this chain is that they go out of their way to please. I took the free bottle of wine offer but could not drink a bottle all to myself. I asked if I could just have a couple of glasses of wine instead. No problem!

Having organised a trip to a New Years Day concert at Barbican Hall,for 40 of my U3A members, I recommended booking at Cote because many restaurants would not be open that day. Many of our party did so and I personally hosted a table of 9. We allowed 2 hours for the meal but the service was very very slow and mistakes were made on the order and then certain items did not arrive, but by then it was too late to wait. The food was not up to your usual standard.This was the same experience at other tables. The manager did give our table a discount but the whole experience was far below our expectations. I realise this was New Years Day, but if you are open you should offer your usual high standard.

Saturday morning disaster. Ordered hot breakfast. Got cold food on cold plates. Waited 40 minutes for food and a further half hour for coffee. Service chaotic. Mistakes and delays throughout. People on next table walked out. No sign of supervisor or manager to organise staff. Very disappointing experience.

The food did not look like freshly cooked, salad was dry and yellowish. Looks like refrigerated precooked meals were heated up.

Excellent menu choice, we struggled to pick what to choose as we could have eaten it all! The service was great - efficient, friendly and professional. There was a good staff ratio to diners which is often hit and miss when dining out at Christmas so a big well done on that front. The food was delicious and no delays at all in between courses. My request to turn off the heating ceiling vent beside us was dealt with quickly and without any fuss. I would highly recommend coming here.

Food was good but wait staff to intrusive and rather loud. Plates we're removed whilst one of my guests was still eating very rude and we felt we being rushed although the restaurant was not busy considering it was the 3rd Jan 19!

Always a great experience. Cote Barbican provided exceptional service on a busy New Year's Eve at pre-theatre time. The food was of a high standard and the waiting staff incredibly helpful and courteous.

We arrived at a very busy time so we had to wait a while but this was compensated for by good food and in our final bill. Thank you. We will visit the restaurant again when we are next at the Barbican.

One of my party ordered a portion of French fries after the main order had been taken. They didn’t arrive until after we had finished our meal so our waiter said they woukdn’t charge for the fries as they arrived so late. I think this was a generous gesture by Cote and apppreciated by my party.

The food was good, but the service was unreliable, with a long wait at the beginning (although we had previously booked) and items being forgotten. My starter, for example, was omitted and I had to ask twice before it finally appeared, when the other members of my group had almost finished. The system seemed to be somewhat chaotic, with servers running about to different tables without any apparent logic. As the restaurant was full after a major event at the Barbican, there seemed to be insufficient staff to cope adequately with the numbers. Other people seemed also to have issues.

Service was very slow. Some of the food was cold and had to be returned to be heated otherwise OK

Went for a pre-theatre meal New Year’s Eve. Food was excellent as was service. It was busy but staff were attentive and engaging. A lovely atmosphere - a nice start to our evening.

A fair measure of customer service is not if mistakes are made but how they are rectified. I minor but if confusion with the order was dealt with efficiently during a very busy service. Cote may be a chain restaurant but they serve French cuisine to the standard I expect when in France. Well done.

Food was delicious! The lady waiting on us was very helpful. Fast and efficient service. Makes a nice change to be in a 'roomy' Cote and not sitting on top of one another although sat by the door and was draughty!

We had a wonderful pre theatre dinning experience going from our 11 year old up to the 85 year old! This has us set up for the concert and we will come back!

I was really disappointed with food and service. The staff were rude and the food badly cooked. Very different from other branches of Cote.

It was disappointing that 2 out of the 6 choices (including ours) on the prestige starter menu and my choice of the 4 desserts were not available. We were told that we were not allowed to chose an alternative starter from another set menu. This was at 5pm so I can’t imagine what would be available later on in the evening!!

Great meal. one of the best moules I ever had.. Service was quite quick too. We asked for window seats as more space there. Great place for pre-concert lunch if you go to Barbican.

Everyone was v helpful particularly in providing us with a high chair for the baby. We enjoyed lunch time v much.

Overpriced Christmas menu. Duck with orange very dry, excessively salty and orange barely there. Patronising waiters. Everything served in a rush. Very disappointing.

We've eaten here many times before, being regular Barbican users. Yesterday evening service was distracted, food on the cold side, bill slow to arrive, and overall the team did not have their eye on the ball. Probably a blip but were we not regulars, might put off anyone coming again.
