The restaurant is very pleasant - not really a bad table in the place. Service is slick, attentive and can be efficient and fast (lunch time) if you wish it; or relaxed and casual once the waiters pick up the vibe. Everyone is on the ball; the food is hot, tasty, and good value. Alcohol, like everywhere else, adds exponentially to the cost - that to my mind is the only shame for any and all restaurants as sometimes a small glass of wine makes a meal.

I had a very pleasant evening at Cote. My Poulet Roti was particularly memorable, beautifully cooked with lovely flavouring. We were served by a very nice young Hungarian man.

We had booked a table in advance and received a warm welcome on arrival. There was a good selection on the menu and we did not have to wait long to give our order and our food and drink was received very promptly. It took a little while to get our bill at the end of our meal, as the restaurant was very busy, but we still had plenty of time to get to the Barbican for our concert. Great value for money, lovely food and good service.

We wanted a light supper before a concert and that it was we got. Food was nice, wine was fine and the service very prompt and efficient so we left in good time.

Overall a disappointing experience given how good other Cote restaurants can be. One of our group had to wait for their main course while the rest of us ate. We all had finished our meals before his arrived. Very poor.

Always a pleasure to eat at Cote wherever - Salisbury, Leeds, Exeter, Barbican etc. The service at Barbican was excellent, the menu choice was wide and appetising - perhaps a more flexible side vegetable choice would be an improvement. The choice of wines is good.

Fantastic dinner, great food, service, as well as for money

Excellent welcome. Offered complimentary Kir Royale to celebrate husband's birthday. Complimentary drink then appeared on the bill! When queried it was taken off but it rather spoilt the initial pleasure. We use Cote regularly and always enjoy the food and atmosphere.

The food was excellent as was the service. It was very busy as people came from a concert at the Barbican. We had been for a meal 4 days earlier and the noise level was Ok but on Wednesday it was very noisy

I was very disappointed as we waited for an hour for our food. We had been a week before and the food was divine; when we went today, the food was rubbish as it had been heated up in the microwave and the service was horrendous. I’ve never been treated so horribly. Horrified, Emily

We were going to a concert at the Barbican so we booked a table at Cote for 5pm. The staff were attentive and the food was marvellous as always.

Excellent service and good food as ever. My only complaint is the noise level and that is difficult to control. It’s partly all the hard surfaces and the low ceiling. No real answer to this, but it makes conversation difficult. Certainly you don’t need any piped music. Sorry my noise level stars. Wasn’t sure which way it went!

The service was excellent, particularly the young lady with a good sense of humour. The food was delicious. Lovely environment to spend a Friday night. It didn't spoil our night in any way but we would have like a cocktail.

This is a very reliable chain and they are particularly good catering for children. I was there with my three-year-old and we had a lovely time!

We were assisted in getting a Table when we telephoned the Barbican restaurant even though no vacancies were shown on the internet We had the set meal and the Onion Soup was very good but the Beef in the Beef Stroganoff was hard and spoilt our enjoyment

The service was very good and the food excellent. I was with some friends who had just come from New York on the Queen Mary and they said they wished they had the Cote menu on board!

We enjoyed our favourite steak frites and chocolate pot after a theatre trip to the Barbican. Service was very good.
