Good food and good staff to serve it. Very enjoyable
Côte never disappoints. Consistently good food, and perfect friendly service. I am a fairly regular customer at a variety of Cotes: Barbican,Dorking,Cobham,Guildford and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal or anything other than excellent service. Our waiter at the Barbican last evening was delightful and even gave us a complimentary Kir Royale.
Very nice meal, good service and good value for money.
From the Prestige Set Menu I had the feuillete, pork tenderloin and apple crumble. I enjoyed the starter and dessert. I thought the pork tenderloin sauce was over-herbed. The portion was generous, but one of the pieces of meat was quite pink throughout so I left it. When I mentioned this to a waiter he said "we always serve it pink". This is the advice from the UK Food Standards Agency: “We always advise that whole cuts of pork, pork products and offal should be thoroughly cooked until steaming hot throughout, the meat is no longer pink and juices run clear". Also, I think for the price this dish should be served with potato and another vegetable, in line with the pork belly on the a la carte menu. The noise level from general chatter in the full restaurant was very high, no doubt because of the low ceiling.
Excellent menu choice and friendly service, great for Pre theatre supper. Pleasant ambience at the Cote Barbican.
We were immediately welcomed and the lady prepared our table promptly after asking where we would like to be seated. Our orders were taken promptly, but the food order took a while to arrive for which we were not harged for our bread and butter. All in all, a good meal. My roast duck breast was very good. A food value meal.
Cote is an excellent chain, delivering delicious food. The menu choices are varied and provide good value, and the quality and quantity are consistently high. I will visit again.
As rated good on all fronts. Sea bass excellent. As was the steak tartars
Our first time at this location. Every bit as good as our regular branch in Guildford. High quality value for money food, excellent service and a great overall atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit.
Warm welcome, neither our two waitresses smiled as they seemed busy or distracted. The mackeral starter was very small, main course good. Speedy service but lacked warmth.
Service wasn't quite as fast as usual, fewer waiting staff perhaps? We'd been delayed on the underground so arrived late for our pre theatre meal. Pleased that our table was still available but our order wasn't taken for 10 minutes. We then had to chase our deserts which we'd ordered and they arrived too late to enjoy them as we needed to leave. Shame as food was good.
It was my sons birthday and we received a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Good value set two course lunch menu with a good rib eye steak.
Tasty pre-theatre meal but scallops under cooked and restaurant very noisy.
excellent pre-theatre dinner experience. Staff very attentive and friendly, thank you all. Enjoy trying the specials menu as by now the we are familiar with the a la carte. Also free cocktail was a winner and the reason we decided to eat out
A very enjoyable evening with good food and friendly service
The children's fish and chips was tasty and enjoyed by the kids. Unfortunately the other dishes left us wishing we had also had the children's menu. My tuna nicoise salad was underwhelming - I had to ask for capers and the fish was not only overcooked but also tough, as if it had been sitting around for a while. My husband's steak was bland and needed lots of seasoning. The other two fish dishes were also mediocre though the sea bass was much better then the cod. It was my post graduation celebratory meal and we were all left disappointed.
Great food, good service and excellent value. Had spinach and mushroom crepes for the first time delicious.
excellent and prompt service which allowed us to get to Barbican theatre straight after.
We come to Cote across the country at least 3/4 times a month. However we didn’t have a great experience today for my birthday. We have been to the Barbican Cote before. However this evening it wasn’t great service. We waited a long time for any service throughout the evening. Often staff would ignore us so we would have to go up to the bar. My husbands meal wasn’t what we had ordered. The staff did apologise but that was all. Such a shame but don’t think I’ll visit the Cote at the Barbican again!!
We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere today at lunchtime.
Good food and good staff to serve it. Very enjoyable
Really good food and excellent service...will return. My wife really enjoyed it also.
We were very happy with the experience. The staff was very attentive. The waiter was very helpful and gave us good advice. I knew the chain, but some of my friends that were in the hen do didn't, and after the dinner they mentioned that they would go back. Thank you for having us!
We were a large party of 35, and were welcomed with the same personal attention that we have experienced when we have previously visited as a couple or small family group. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed, and at the same time we felt a lovely sense of occasion. Thank you!

This almost perfect experience was curtailed by the late arrival of a dessert which only arrived at the table as we were leaving to make it to our concert that evening. In all other respects the evening was very enjoyable, sad that it was marred at the end by a glitch in management.
Service at the restaurant was really great and attentive. It made it a lovely evening especially for two of the group who were celebrating an end of year singing recital at Guildhall. Many thanks
I very much enjoyed dinner. Wonderful and gracious host. Tasty food. Great value for money. Perfect pre-Barbican dinner. Cote is one of my favourite restaurant chains in the UK.
Service was excellent but my starter was odd. Tepid boudain noir with a cold poached egg. Not quite what I had in mind from the menu.
We had an excellent meal with efficient and friendly service.
The food and service was brilliant here. I would certainly recommend this particular cote especially for business meetings. Quick service - food tasted great - atomosphere was calm and relaxing but not too quiet so you could hold a full conversation in confidence.
Such reliable Food and alway friendly service. The negroni made a lovely start to the meal.
My husband and I really enjoyed dinner! The food was very good and the service prompt, and helpful.
Lovely well thought out food. Good value. Super staff Hope to be back once the world has recovered

The Mushroom Brioche on the pre-theatre menu was very disappointing. The brioche was rather sweet for a savoury dish, and there were about 2 tablespoonfuls of luke-warm mushroom sauce containing 4 very small and thin slices of mushroom. This dish needs a re-think. On the other hand, the Pork Navarin and the a la carte Tarte Fine aux Pommes were both excellent, as was the service (the only blip being that I was brought the wrong dessert and had to wait a bit for the right one!).
We liked our visit at barbican very much. Food was very good also the service.
5 * food and service. Waitress and manager ..... support these guys
On arrival I showed the waitress my phone message from you that as it was my birthday I was entitled to a free glass of Kir Royale. This I received but when presented with the bill I was charged for it. This was then adjusted. However this does show a lack of professionalism on the part of your Company.
We didn't - after 20 minutes of being ignored we walked out - not the Birthday meal I was hoping for
Our visit to Barbican was very good. The food was very good and lso the service.
I always enjoy going to a Cote Brasserie. The menu changes regularly and several times I have eaten my way through the choices. The staff are courtesy and friendly, do not pressure you to leave even when they are busy and try to give you good service.

Great meal and service I had the pork belly and crab mayonnaise.
We always enjoy the food at the Cote, very good Value and nicely presented.
We had a very nice lunch today at the Barbican Cote Brasserie. We were a party of 13 and had pre ordered our food. We only had an hour and a half in which to eat, but all our food came quickly and efficiently. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, it was all very tasty and well presented. Our waitress and the rest of the staff were really helpful. Thank you all very much.
I love cote. I find it strange but a meal I have dozens of times in another branch did not taste the same. Less flavoursome. I thought it was just me until afterwards my friend said the same. Also great location for going to the Barbican but despite being a chain other venues feel more personal .
We had a fantastic meal at Cote Barbican. Our waiter was polite, friendly and attentive. Whilst dining we witnessed a man become ill due to his diabetes. He was dining with his wife. The Manager (Vincenzo) was absolutely superb. He stayed with the couple comforting the lady and ensuring that the gentleman was assisted properly by bringing suitable drinks/food to enable him to recover. All this was done with minimal fuss. We were so very impressed with the care shown that we asked our waiter for the managers name so we could write in and praise him. Our waiter also told us it was a lovely place to work as all the staff were very kind and friendly! Well done to the whole team - we had a fantastic time and witnessed true kindness which is so nice to see in today’s world!!
Lovely meal with great staff. We will definitely be coming back. Great for a pre-concert meal.
A very pleasant visit on a cold and wet night. A nice ambience and great service. Food excellent.
Always a pleasure to visit Cote Barbican; the two-course lunch deal is excellent value for money and was delicious. And service was charming as ever.
First-class service; excellent food and wine; we shall definitely return
Very pleasant environment, conveniently situated, efficient staff and good, good-value food.
We did have a very good time at Barbican. The food was also good as also the service was very good
