Côte Barbican

The service was fine, environment totally pleasant. But, and it is a big but, I hadn't been to Cote for about 8 months - in that time it appears there have been big changes to the menu - gone is the great value set menu 2 courses for £14 and 3 for £17, Now it's more like £17 for one course, and portion size is very modest- and no veg sides thrown in. Having established it's reputation , this once great value, reliably good chain has now upped it's profit margin at expense of the customer and I for one will not be frequenting Cote again. What a shame.

lovely service and great food, we were not rushed and everything was very good . We had the celebration menu and steak in particular was delicious

The waitress we had was excellent. Cote was very very full and busy She, however, took our order with charm and panache. This was served relatively quickly from the kitchen She should be rewarded due to her efforts

Extremely good food, had steak tartare and veal escalope, cooked perfectly. Very attentive waitress, with good recommendation on dessert of pavlova. Been here a few times now and never disappointed.

It is amazing how high the quality of the interior, service and food is for the price. A lovely location too. Best value in London.

We really like this restaurant and normally it's fine. But we found the new set menu limited, and disappointed that the sea food pasta that was on the menu in the summer is no longer there. We choose the steak and I found it chewy. I should have chosen something else. And we will come back. Otherwise excellent service.

I have been Cote three time and every time the food is very tasty and all staff are very friendly. Would defiantly come back again as the service was very good.

Great value food in the city, served in good time by friendly staff. A great place to meet up with friends and family for a reliably good meal at a reasonable price. Calamari starter, Duck with cherries, Pork Belly and the Muscles are particularly good. Nice place to be able to sit and chat without being rushed out by staff.

Côte is super-reliable. Food is good and well presented, staff are always friendly. Plus the branch I habitually use is only minutes from where I live. What's not to like?

Superb. Outstsnding meal. Really great food, beautifully served. Had Cote's Anniversary meal -- great choice of ingredients, creatively and skill fully combined. A great evening.

Quite sophisticated food. Great service,. Good ambience. The best chain restaurants that there is in my opinion. I return repeatedly for special occasions and thoroughly recommend it here.

A lovely meal at Cote Barbican. We had the Pre theatre menu which gave a good range of options. Value for money with excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent deal. 3 courses for £13.95 is excellent. The La Garenne wine I had was lovely, a peppery red that was deliscious. My only complaint was that the Creme Caramel was a little too eggy.

Good service, great food and reasonably priced pre-theatre meal. Our waiter was attentive and efficient, and the food was fresh and good size portions for the price.

I have been eating regularly at the Barbican Cote since it was first opened. It has a great atmosphere, lovely people and reliable food and drink - all round a great local eaterie.

Service was great - food average (very happy they have a separate vegetarian menu) and wine expensive for the quality. Handy location which was main reason for choosing this one.

Excellent food and service. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The set menu is excellent value. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children and all were catered for in a thoroughly good way

We enjoyed the food, which was nicely cooked & presented. We had the pre-theatre menu & had a fairly tight timescale in which to eat. It was a nice atmosphere, the waiting staff were very efficient & we were not left worrying about whether we would be finished in time & neither were they rushed. Good customer service. Located very close to the Barbican Centre & so ideal for attending an event there.

Very good, nice atmosphere. Suitable for business meeting, ask for a quiet table. Busy at start with theatre goers but becomes quiet later. Thank you.

Excellent food - nearly as good as at Cote in Bury St Edmunds - and extremely pleasant staff, with broad smiles. Thank you from my wife and I for the perfect end to a perfect day.

Very good food and service. We will go again definitely Soups always tasty as is chicken. Great handy location and even when busy service is efficient
