We use your restaurant whenever we attend the Barbican, for several very good reasons. We can depend on your good service, good food and good value. The meals are always a pleasure.
Easy to reserve a table at time required. Reception was good, staff gave good service were friendly and helpful, and menu excellent. A very good restaurant will definitely go again.
We've eaten at this branch of Cote many times. The food is usually good and service efficient and friendly. Today I had an offer which meant I got a complimentary bottle of wine. When the bill came they had charged me for the wine and for a starter I'd ordered but they didn't have. This is the second time we've had to ask them to take things off the bill, so make sure you check your bill carefully. However the restaurant is very conveniently situated and we will definitely eat there again.
Went there for lunch as a party of four. The food was very good, particularly the fillet steak. Staff were friendly and efficient, all in all a great place.
The only fault was cold cappuccino .. otherwise standard as good as other Cote restaurants And various equatable London establishments .staff were friendly and pleasant
Prompt and pleasant service. Food was very tasty and good value. We are regularly diners for business lunches and pre theatre suppers. Would recommend for both of these.
There needs to be far more vegetarian options ad they need to be clearly marked. It's quite awkward having to check everything that looks like it should vegetarian with the waiter to check that there are no hidden non-vegetarian cheeses etc.
Friendly attentive staff with well paced service Good menu choices including a good value pretheatre menu Well designed dining room particularly well placed for the venues of the Barbican
We had the pre-theatre menu, which was good food, with a reasonable selection of dishes, and good value. The only thing that stops full marks is that the waiter was a bit grumpy.
Cote was absolutely packed. It was 630 pm Friday before a concert at the Barbican and I'd booked (which was just as well). Despite the number of diners,, the staff could not have coped better. They were all attentive, charming and really helpful. The pre-theatre menu changes regularly and always has plenty of choice, keeping the vegetarians happy. They really seem to have a winning formula which I hope they never change! Keep it up Cote.
As usual this restaurant was very good in all respects. I didn't give it the maximum marks for the single reason that my favourite starter was unavailable today. The house Rose wine is the best you can get.
Nice ambience, friendly staff, good service. Some of the items on the menu weren't available and the main course salad had too many lettuce leaves rather than the other ingredients, but it was tasty. Overall a positive experience and would come back.
A different menu from our last visit - some interesting new dishes. We both went for the bacon lardons & frisee salad (good) and I had the sea bream (delicious, not too sure about the beans with it) and he had chicken, which came with a delicious tomato sauce. Our waiter was excellent, always there to help, never intrusive.
Service & food excellent. Waiter appreciated our timescale. We had to wait for my son who was late, however we still managed to have our meal and still make the concert on time
It's convenient if you're attending a Barbican cinema screening. The food is reasonable, the service OK. Eaten here a few times. No-one ever seems to be at an obvious greeting point, so you stand around aimlessly hoping for attention. I once walked out because I was consciously ignored for 2-3 minutes on one particularly irritating occasion last year by two members of the waiting staff who seemed to be having a childish competition with each other (Autumn 2016) and instead ate at the cafe which is next door.
The food was great as usual but service a was bit slow at 4pm which is perhaps a bit of an in-between time I guess.
All very smooth; welcome greeting from Manager (lady) and good service from waiter (guy from Paris) A1 food (thanks to chef and team). We will return
Great - thank you. Good food and excellent customer service. Great place to take the family. Relaxed atmosphere and good location, nice comfortable environment with plenty of light and space.

Great service and lovely food! I would definitely go again and it is always a great spot for lunch as you can get in and out in under an hour.
Excellent value pretheatre menu. Service not as good as at St Martins Lane where it's possible to get 3 courses even when arriving just after 6 with tickets for 7.30
Arrived early for pre-theatre dinner. Very efficient, friendly service. Lots of choice on both the regular and lunch/pre-theatre menus, the pre-theatre menu being exceptional value for a London restaurant! It was fairly quiet when we arrived at 5.30pm but within 30 minutes it was almost full, which made for a great atmosphere. Highly recommend and will definitely return if visiting this area again.
Continue to provide good meals with excellent service at sensible prices, The menu is broad and is varied enough to make it interesting going back time and again.
It was quite noisy and our table was sort of stuck in between with lots of people walking past, which made it a bit less enjoyable. Food and service was very good
Friendly staff and enjoyable food and good value. If I was being critical I did feel we were very close to the tables either side.
We were very satisfied with both the service, the food and wine. The swordfish was particularly delicious and we we arrived at the Barbican in good time for the concert by our dear friend Sam Haywood
The menu choices and food were excellent and the staff were charming but the service was a little slow and we only just made the start of our concert.
We had booked a table fr 6.15 to allow us time for a meal before the filmed opera started at 7.20. Because of terrible traffic we didn't arrive at the restaurant until 6.35. Our table was still reserved and waiting for us. We explained our time constraints to our waiter who was extremely helpful, took our order as soon as we were ready and the food - two courses, came up quickly and efficiently. We had time to enjoy a two course meal, with a bottle of house wine, pay and be out by 7.25. We arrived in the Barbican Cinema 5 minutes before the film began. Perfect timing and a very happy start to our evening's enjoyment. Also very reasonable cost - under £20 per head including service.
Very good meal in a pleasant setting. Friendly and attentive staff. Reasonable choice of food, well presented and good to taste. Will certainly come again
We enjoyed the usual good value pre-concert meal at the Barbican Cote. There was a bit of a delay between ordering and our first course arriving but after that our waitress and the manager made sure our meal was complete in time for our concert. Without asking, the manager also gave a nice reduction on our bill to compensate us for the delay in being served - much appreciated.
We made a reservation at 5:45. We enjoyed nice food and atmosphere. The service was good. It is an ideal place for light dinner before the concert at Barbican.
We wanted a quick meals a reasonable price before going to a play at the Barbican . 3 courses for 4 people came out within 1.5 hrs ... excellent food quality and very well presented ... service so efficient and always with politeness and a smile . Will return
This restaurant has very nice food, Unfortunately it is a tad loud. We couldn't hear ourselves very well. The food menue makes it up for this though.
We arrived at 3.00pm to find a packed and noisy restaurant but the staff managed it well. The service was efficient. We ordered from the a la carte menu and enjoyed our duck breast dinner and the roast pork belly: good quantities and quality. This is a very convenient place to eat before or after an event at the Barbican.
Late booking for 3 people after theatre. We turned up with 6 as we had met some friends. Despite restaurant being busy, manager worked cheerfully to find us space - improvised by putting 2 tables together! Much appreciated.
Very Pleasant staff and very tasty food, quite good value for money. I would recommend this restaurant especially for a pre theatre meal. Very close to the barbican centre.
Good service overall. Slow to start with and were a bit worried we would be be late for our play at Barbican. It all worked out and the food was very tasty
It was excellent, as always. The food was good, as was the service, and the staff were efficient and friendly. I will be going back again soon.
No record of our booking, fortunately we had an early booking so it wasn't a problem. Overall experience very nice. Great atmophere and very pleasnt staff
Online booking worked perfectly. Our first visit, we were impressed with the excellent service although it was early evening so can't say what it would be on a busy evening. The food was tasty with a good choice. We will certainly eat at Cote again.
Something for everyone in their pre-theatre menu. Tasty food and wonderful house red wine! Definitely good value for money. Would dine here again when I'm in the area.
Good food, fair price and very pleasant service - your staff do your company great credit. A party of four and we all enjoyed our evening.
This restaurant is in a convenient place and has great value as well as variety pre theatre menus served with a smile! Will go back.
Food was tasty and service was very speedy polite and attentive. Overall a good experience at this busy restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the creme caramel
Excellent friendly, attentive and professional service. Good quality food cooked exactly how we ordered it. We are regulars at this Côte and are always pleased with our experience here.

The Cote Brasserie restaurant was extremely good. The food is always of a very good standard and well presented. I would highly recommend eating at any Cote Brasserie restaurant as their standards do not change. Excellent choice of food to suit most people. 10 out of 10
Both the service and the food were very good. I asked to swap a few items from the dish I chose and they had no problem accommodating this
Delicious set priced dinner and polite quick service. W had good orange salad ,fish with flagelot beans and excellent creme carmel. Well designed restaurant with well placed tables allowing for privacy.
Good food and friendly, a bit understaffed on the day but very welcoming. No problems at all with food, seating very comfortable. Will be back soon!
Good meal - fish soup and gratinated prawns to start, swordfish with ratatouille to follow and then an apple tart and a lemon tart to finish. Washed down with a bottle of Samur. Well served and pleasant surroundings.
Oddly wouldn't allow us to order just a main course from the set menu, even if we paid more. Waiter seemed highly confused by the whole ordeal. Had to order a different main - food was good though.
