I love this restaurant but unfortunately, on 7 May, the service was really slow! It seemed a little disorganized but I would still go back and eat there.
Pleasant service but as the place got busier we had to wait almost 15 mins to have our main course cleared and as a result had.no time for coffee or pudding, which is why I've scored the place lower than usual.
Tested for a team lucnh. Very good service, smiling staff, nice atmosphere and as expected, very tasty choices! Nice experience overall. Will certainly go back.
Great value for money. Food very good as usual. Will certainly keep going to Cote in the future. As we were meeting friends we rarely see, we had a lot to talk about. No pressure to leave.
As always it fully met my expectations. Great place at reasonable price. Booking was simple. Look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you very much!
Superb pre theatre meal. Excellent service, good and value and efficient. Thank you we will be back. Close to Barbican sogreatfor pre they're or concert
Good, fast service. Food was good, price was incredibly good, we had the three course starter menu. And, have to say the Cauliflower soup was the best I have had! Two very happy customers :-)

Lovely staff and excellent meal, special treat by my daughter for my birthday, lovely predinner drink as a treat from the restaurant, and delicious salmon fish cake, then crumble and ice cream.
Food was good but unfortunately we were waiting for a while. I visit this restaurant quite often and I believe you changed the chef. It use to be a lot quicker which was perfect for office lunch.
As usual, good quality and value for money on a diverse menu. All three starters and main courses looked and tasted very nice. Service friendly.
I like to use this restaurant because it is very convenient for the Barbican and the place is always very buzzy with a good atmosphere. The food and service is very good
Having made a booking prior to my arrival, I was shown to my table immediately. I chose items from both the main and special menus and ordered a glass of Chablis which was served at the right temperature. The three-course menu I ate (crab mayonnaise on toast, salmon fishcakes with ratatouille and tarte au citron) was tasty, of sufficient quantity and high quality. The staff were all friendly and attentive, providing good service at all times.
As ever very quick turnaround time -vital if attending early performance. I have had much more interesting Salades Nicoises elsewhere but it was adequate. Pleasant wine. Very noisy which makes conversation hard going. Staff as always pleasant and helpful.
Cote is a reliable chain, and it was reliable tonight. We popped in after a film and had a mains special each -- one lamb, highly appreciated, and one chicken roti, which was good, but a bit too roti in spots, i.e. burnt skin. The service was friendly. But, given that the place was half empty, I was a bit surprised how often we had to make an effort to get any attention. In this half-dead part of London, this is a very convenient and reliable option
Lovely as ever. Wonderful staff and good reliable food with good wines. Can be loud if close to a big party as we were last night. One of our party is pretty hard of hearing so this can be a bit of a challenge.

Delicious duck with cherries. They were very busy with preconcert bookings and ordering took a while but once they realised we were on tight timescale were very helpful.
Perfect location for a pre theatre supper. The service was prompt, atmosphere pleasant and the food was tasty. We will certainky use the restaurant again.
Had really tasty food and enjoyed my meal. Only slight niggle is that when they brought the food they rushed off quickly and I really wanted ketchup for my chips :( also the waitress took my water glass away from when I first sat down. Other than that great place.
Simple, appreciative, helpful service, the pre-theatre menu a delicious bargain, the waitress on the ball - this WAS pre-theatre and as usual the staff pick up almost instinctively if you are getting anxious about curtain up and kindly reassure you that you can eat AND get to the show at the Barbican. And so it was....
Tasty starters of calamari & crab with avocado, then I liked the fishy Breton stew while el wife had the duck which was also good. Pleasant setting and decent, friendly service.
Steak tartare starter well presented with good texture and tasty sauce - excellent Breton stew with good range of fish ingredients and a touch of garlic with potato floaties. Service prompt as ever.
Ideal venue for a pre-concert supper. The service is quick and the food is good. The pre-theatre menu is particularly good value for money. Thanks!
The pre-theatre menu was excellent value and the food was superb. Every course was delicious and well presented. The creme caramel was especially good. Serving staff were most attentive and polite at all times.
We go to lots of the Cote Brasserie around London. It is always good. Last night's service was friendly and efficient. I forgot to ask for my steak to be cooked medium rare, so it was a little overcooked for me.
Very good food as always at Cote. Pleasant atmosphere, very busy at lunch so you need to book Staff were pleasant and friendly and didn't mind the fact that we weren't in a hurry to order etc.
Good choice of French brasserie themed food, with specials that change regularly, reasonably priced and very good service from friendly staff. Great location near the Barbican centre.
Very good , friendly service. Excellent choice on pre-theatre menu. Unfortunately the dauphinoise potatoes in my chicken dish were rather overcooked and chewy but otherwise a nice meal.
Food and service were around average. The gratin potatoes were lukewarm. Think they are having problems with the air-con as it was either hot or a gushing cold air.
Service was a bit confused and the main course very delayed. But all was fine and we got to the concert replete and content. A most convenient place!
Great food, reasonably priced, good atmosphere, helpful staff, thank you. We had fish stew and a really lovely Tuna Nicoise. Total bill for main and coffee for two was £35
As always, very appetising menu, well priced dishes and buzzy atmosphere. A bit slow on the service at this branch. This is the second visit and each time we have to ask to be served which lets it down a bit!
Food delicious and matched the calibre of the service from our waitress who ensured an all round marvellous eating experience. I had the tuna salad which was perfectly cooked. Clean plates from us all.
As ever, good food and good staff who are always welcoming. Good value for money, my favourite local restaurant so gets visited often, therefore good that the menu changes.
Excellent food as always. Tried the Breton fish stew for the first time. I have noticed recently that there is background music. In my opinion it is unnecessary and intrusive. Cote is by far and away the best restaurant I have been to in years and I am a frequent visitor. I have been to five branches, they are all equally good. Leave everything as it is. Change the menu occasionally, of course, but don't meddle with anything else.
Despite plenty of time between the start of our meal and our need to leave for the theatre, there was great delay in being served, with a 25 minute wait between finishing our starter and receiving our main course - the waiter seemed quite unconcerned despite our letting him know we had time constraints. This is not the level of service and customer care we are used to receiving at Cote, and needs attention. The food itself was tasty but the starters had 'shrunk' in size we all thought.....
Cote are usually excellent. Always tasty and well cooked but on last occasion dining before the theatre at The Barbican, they forgot our main course and so we had to rush it in order to leave on time. Disappointing - but wouldn't put me off going again!
The food was good as per usual. However, once again there were problems with the bill. For some reason everyone is in a rush and always makes at least one mistake. Just check your bill carefully.
Excellent food and really nice, efficient staff. All six of us were delighted. We have been to this restaurant several times and have always had a good experience.
A positive greeting at the door was continued by all members of the staff we came in contact with during the meal. It was good to know that the tip was for the staff at this venue as it was justified.
Excellent choice on the menu both for starters and mains including vegetarian and fishetarian choices. Service always excellent here and amazing value. A great start to our evening at the Barbican
Quick, quality lunch service - staff regularly check satisfaction - as always, good range of choice on the menu. Very generous opening rewards offer of good standard sauvignon.
My companion loved the cauliflower soup!! I had steak frites, as I always do, and was not disappointed. We finished our meal with chocolate mousse, which was delicious.
Felt quite rushed, we sat down and started talking and were interrupted to order straight away. usually it is fine, but we were celebrating a birthday lunch so would have been nicer to just have a relaxed pace.
Very efficient and friendly service. Delicious set menu. Chose a pear and endive salad, followed by chicken, bacon and perfect vegetables.Great place for a pre concert meal. Allow 40 minutes.
Great food and drink with excellent service and all with a smile! Our seats were quite comfortable and we were not affected by other diners.
Exceptional service and amazing food. Very convenient for the Barbican Centre - perfect for pre theatre. Try and get a table by the window if you can.
My wife, myself and our two sons attended on Mothering Sunday, at lunchtime. Although it was busy the service was friendly, professional and attentive. Clearly the organisation of Barbican Côte Brasserie is excellent. The food was delicious and they even had their amazing set menu as well as a children menu. Difficult fish dishes are served perfectly and simple french cuisine has added panache. I can recommended the Barbican Côte Brasserie for family dining and also for couples and even friends meeting.
Excellent experience at Cote Barbican last Sunday (Mother's Day). We had a family brunch, which was delicious - with excellent, friendly service, so we were well set up for the concert at the Barbican afterwards.
Great food with prompt and friendly/polite service! Would definitely recommend - especially if you are a larger group who want a quick lunchtime eat. The private room is perfect.
A lovely meal of seared scallops, roast sea bass and a chocolate fondant washed down with the recommended Macon Village. My only reservation is that I thought the service a a little casual - I prefer that our order is written down and not left to memory which then needs to be checked but overall a very enjoyable experience.
