Fine for the money. Not exceptional but decent food priced reasonably. Worth trying the pre theater two or three courses menu. The staff knew the menu well enough to be helpful with daily allergy.
The staff were excellent and plenty of choice on the menu. Food was good. We were not rushed and a minor problem solved without fuss. Thank you
Always enjoy meals at any branch of Cote. Pleasant atmosphere, efficient and friendly service and delicious, unpretentious, fresh food with a good selection always available. The pre-theatre menu is fantastic value too!
A very good set of choices on the menu. Food well-cooked and nicely and efficiently served, despite a bit of a language barrier. Reasonable prices too.
Really good food and staff. Excellent place to eat. Now why do i have to write 25 words for you to accept this review ? Why ? Ok one two three four five six seven eight none then eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeel eighteen nineteen twenty.. get my point?
Cote Barbican consistently provides great food, great service, great ambience and all in a great location. It is convenient for a pre-show dinner at the Barbican or a nice lunch in the City. Would recommend.
When you want a good quality, reliable, pre concert meal, cote always delivers, seldom any delays, always a good experience, even when busy. Also it does 125ml glasses of wine, a welcome bonus before a concert.
good food, pretty quick service, nice seating. The overall menu is nice and flexible for differebt lunch options depending on who you are meeting with.
Lovely restaurant, great location & fab service. Will be using again for business lunches when in the City. Food was of excellent quality and cooked perfectly!
Flawless service, delicious food and a sensible price. Highly recommended. The new November menu is excellent with a wide range of dishes to cater for all dietary requirements.
Lovely meal, excellent service, nice buzzy admosphere, as ever, Cote didn't fail to delight. Many thanks for a wonderful experience. We'll be back soon, please believe me.
Good food, prompt service and nice restaurant. We were two for lunch and our food arrived hot within 10 minutes which was brilliant. Only downfall was that there was no server to be found when we wanted the bill.
Great food and really helpful service. Let us order off set menu even though it was just 7pm! Thanks so much - will definitely recommend
Food and service was good, unfortunately, there was a table of 18 young men amongst the tables of 2, the noise level was unbearable and spilt the evening.
Visited for Saturday lunch. Nice relaxed atmosphere with very attentive service and just the right amount of time between courses. Food was well presented and great flavours.
We use alot of Cote restaurants but the service and food at Cote Barbican is never as good as at all the others we attend.
Lovely food, great service. Rib eye steak was served rare as requested and we were able to share a starter. One request- proper espresso cups please!
Good Service. Fine food. Complimentary fine wine_thank you. I shall certainly return with friends again who also enjoyed the evening. It is very convenient to Barbican folk.
Standard chain restaurant experience. All fine. All as expected. Service was reasonable although a little slow to bring the bill at the end of the meal, food was nice enough but portion sizes on the set menu weren't huge. I'd happily go back though for a meal before a show at the Barbican.
The food was really nice, the service was quick and friendly, and it was a reasonable price on the set lunch menu. Couldn't fault the place.
The pork belly on my partners main meal was very poor, as the fat was not crispy whatsoever. When mentioned it got an apology and essentially a shrug from the Manager.
Service excellent. Portion sizes disappointing on pre-theatre menu. One thin slice of smoked ham on starter, small portion of ratatouille as only vegetable with fish. Customers should not leave a 2 course meal feeling hungry!
Excellent food and service, as always at Cote! And reasonable prices for London too. You can't really beat it for a local eatery and bar.
Enjoyed yet another visit to your group of restaurants. Service excellent except being placed by a draughty door, having asked not to be, when there were tables available more centrally. Food very good and decent wine.

Great food and a lovely glass of vino. I chose the veggie risotto and my friend had a salad. We both enjoyed our meal and drink.
Fast service, but odd table layout where one member of a pair sits on a sofa with another member of a different pair of diners, and to get some distance one has to sit too close to another set of diners. Please get rid of this unpleasant arrangement.
Food and service good. Busy restaurant near the centre of London. Went with my family, and overall everybody was happy with there food, that they ordered
Cote Brasserie's inventive menus, with monthly specials and regular standard dishes are always enticing. A good range of non-meat options and always fresh, high-quality ingredients.
I was very impressed with your new restaurant in the Barbican. Excellent service and a very cosy atmosphere. I had a wonderful evening dining with friends and we all enjoyed the delicious food.
We had a very pleasant meal which was courteously served. The food was good and the restaurant as always has a very warm and friendly ambience.
I arrived 10 minutes late, but was quickly seated. My order was taken without any undue delay and both courses were quickly served and were delicious. My bill came soon after I had asked for it, and I had plenty of time to get to the Barbican. I would have had time for a sweet! The 12.5 per cent service charge was well merited. Who could ask for more?!
Fantastic location. Good food and service. Would definitely go back particularly if visiting the Barbican centre. Why on earth do you have to put in a minimum amount of words!!!!!!
This is a nice Côte (Barbican). Spacious so you are not crammed in and the lighting gives it an intimate and cosy ambience. Staff are polite and efficient. We had the pre theatre menu which was really good as well as being good value.
Nice food, very comfortable restaurant, service a bit slow - but actually that was what we wanted as a party of friends wanting to catch up
My companion and I, who are familiar visitors to the Barbican branch, had our usual pleasant evening. Just one cavil - but it's a major one. For the first time in a long time, we ate from the set menu and were disappointed by the distinctly minimal portions. The mussels, in particular, were small in size and number and served without bread; also neither a finger bowl nor a side plate was provided.
We had a very pleasant meal which was courteously served, very tasty in pleasant surroundings prior to attending a concert in the Barbican Centre so it was an ideal experience.
Good food. Slowish service - due in part to strange system that platters are brought into restaurant by one person but they then need to rendezvous with another to put them on your table. And the latter had to do it with one hand because the other arm has an iPad tucked under it or an handful if empty plates!
Can’t beat Cote for the pre theatre menu. Staff were quick and attentive ensuring we made the theatre even though there wasn’t much time. Sent starter of ratatouille back as had one tiny crumble of goats cheese and it was replaced with a smile and apology. Excellent service the night I was there.
What's not to like? Varied menu, good service pleasant atmosphere. The food was well prepared and we were well looked after by our server. Thanks.
Ver good atmosphere and most efficient and friedly service. Sadly the dishes we had from the theatre menu were rather bland, but it was very reasonably priced.
Service initially felt a little slow, then felt rushed as plates were cleared before the whole group had finished eating. Food was nice, although my aubergine was hard & undercooked.
Food as good as ever and service not too bad. You can always bank on the same level of quality every time you go into a Cote wherever it may be
Not that impressed. Table ready. Took order. Some food was stone cold and got sent back. Waitress constantly clearing table of plates even while others still eating which I hate. Toilets were disgusting. 2 our of 4 in ladies unusable. When bill came with an additional 12.5% service charge I didn’t pay it.
This branch of Cote has an excellent location, ambience, delicious food and excellent attentive service. We had another very enjoyable dinner and will happily return. Perfect for a pre-film or pre-concert dinner.
After a rocky start where we were left waiting unattended at one of the two entrances for some considerable time, things improved considerably. The manager gave us a profuse apolopy coupled with complimentary glasses of rose champagne, Thereafter the meal was extremely good and the service excellent. And it was terrific value.
The staff were cheerful and attentive. The service was very efficient. The food was delicious. And thank goodness for some modest portions in this age of over-eating. A relaxing pre-theatre experience.
Food always good. Service was not this time. Grumpy team, not very experienced. Just up the road in Islington, Côte is always on form though.
Excellent service and very good food - even at a particularly busy time. The pre-theatre special menu was varied, and good value. We were really impressed.
We ordered two simple courses from the set menu. The first one arrived after 25 minutes but then we waited another 35 minutes for the main course and a further 15 minutes for a pot of tea. As we were going to a concert, the anxiety over the slow service spoiled the experience for us, even though the food was quite nice.
