Great for business meetings, great menu and professional service. I will be retiring again.
Great food. Excellent staff. Friendly and knowledgeable. Very good value. Great location next to the Barbican. Crowd not too noisy. Kept the table as long as we wanted.
the starters came out in seconds and were obviously premarital, my endives and lettuce were completely wilted and brown and not nice at all. not very much in the way of portions on starters or main course even for a hungry petite female. our waitress was lovely though! 0
The restaurant was nearly full when we arrived just after 5.30 (thank goodness we booked!). We had a pleasant table slightly away from the main area which was quiet enough for us to talk normally. The service was slick and we soon gave our order; the first course arriving promptly as did the drinks. The food was up to the usual high standard from the varied menu and the serving staff were very attentive. Great atmosphere which had a real "buzz" about it. The décor and lighting were just right and gave a very relaxing feel to the place. Excellent!
The staffs made my in-law's Wedding Anniversary very special. The food was good, the service was excellent, and certainly made my parents in-law very happy.
Slightly terrible. The food was cold bland and not worth it. Second time I have been and will probably not ever come back. Service was lovely and the women kindly took 1 meal off as the Baked cheese was totally cold twice but as it was a work lunch we didn't have time to take it away again.
Good food and very good service - a gem of a place post-concert on a Sunday evening. My only gripe is that we ordered a medium price red wine (just over £50 per bottle), and it arrived at the table quite warm. (The oft-quoted rule about red wines being served at room temperature was formulated in the days before central heating - so it actually means around 18, not 24 degrees C!) They should find somewhere closer to cellar temperature to keep their good red wines.
Great food and service with a smile - we’d only booked for 3 but there ended up being 6 of us arriving at slightly different times - this was dealt with very professionally and the food was delicious !
Food and service here is always consistent and - even at Christmas - this didn't change. Several choices of menu which is good at this time of year!! Great lunch - as always.
Very good food. The pre theatre menu is excellent value with a very good choice of dishes. Mushroom brioche only luke warm is my only criticism.
Friendly attentive staff, delicious food, and Christmas crackers upon arrival! Went here for a work Christmas lunch for a small team and would go back again next year.
As always, the staff at Cote were friendly and professional, and the food up to its usual high standard. They have the best creme caramel I know.
Great ambience, good service, some wonderful dishes - only thing that was diappointing was the steak - it was tough and lacked flavour. Would definitely go again.
Helpful staff; good food and wine; efficient service. However, table door subject to cold draughts every time the door opened from the cinema foyer - some screening is required to prevent this.
In spite of being very busy the staff were very professional and courteous. The quality of the food was - as always - excellent. Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
Staff attentive. Food very good. Would recommend and will return. Vey well managed. Only 1 small negative, but wasn't really an issue, the waitress I felt was a little rushed. She wanted to take our order quickly and then the courses came out very quickly too. This wasn't really an issue as I said but it did feel a little rushed. Still really enjoyed Cote, Barbican. :-)
The Cote, Barbican provided our group with excellent two and three course meals served promptly before the Carol Service. Service was welcoming and prompt and I would recommend this venue for quality and great value.
I always enjoy eating at Cote and enjoy their good service and delicious food. I have recently gone vegan and do wish they had more vegan dishes.
Lovely staff and a nice atmosphere. Moules starter was undercooked and returned to the kitchen. Tea and coffee order at the end of the meal was totally forgotten. The restaurant was only half full, so not quite sure how this happened. Staff were very obliging and the food ( apart from the moules) was delicious. Would visit again.
Prompt friendly service, reasonable quality and not expensive. Nice atmosphere and very convenient for the Barbican. Maybe a bit dark for the elderly to read the menus easily!
Good food, well presented and served by a professional and charming staff in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. It is very well positioned for a pre Barbican visit.
The service was good and so was the food. The waitress was courteous and eager to make quite sure we were happy with the drinks and food.
Friendly staff, two fixed price menus, with a broad ‘french’ appeal. Our starters arrived with commendable speed, my calamari were excellent and my parters rocheforte salad fresh and interesting. The main sea bream was beautifully cooked as was my tare steak.
We had a delicious lunch before going to the Barbican. The restaurant was not too busy and the atmosphere was quite nice and relaxed. By the time we were leaving it was quite full but the place is quite big so it was quite easy to move around.
The pre-threatre meal was very good and the service was efficient and friendly, enabling us to eat in comfort and reach the theatre in good time for the performance. Many thanks.
Ambiance good but not over impressed with the food . Chicken dish from the menu. Service was courteous and organised as was the wine .
The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We visited at lunchtime in December so a busy season and did not feel rushed at all, very pleased thank you.
Pleasant and immediate welcome - excellent service - good meal; we chose a steak from the main menu which we tend to prefer - Thank You!
We had Brunch on a Sunday morning which was very relaxing and enjoyable. Staff were very obliging. This restaurant is also well placed for pre theatre/music at the Barbican centre.
All courses were well prepared and presented. The quality of the food was good with excellent flavour. Reasonable choice of wines at affordable prices. Overall excellent value for money and very well located for events at the Barbican.
Great range of menu choices for pre-theatre dining. The food was very good and so, too, was the service. Overall one of the best value meals. Would certainly re-visit.
Evening started off great with an amazing starter of king prawns in a hot tomato sauce at a lovely table. I ordered a steak as a main and when it came it wasn’t cooked to what I had ordered, so I sent it back. When it came back it was inedible. Totally burnt. We complained and the manager did take it off the bill but a steak should not be so hard to get right. Also, the ladies loos were blocked so I had to walk through the cinema to use the toilets in the Barbican - where there was a very long queue. So overall, we won’t be going back.
Excellent ‘Christmas Food’ the French way, good wine and, of course, the best in service from the staff. I recommend the chicken. My wife had the salmon.
The menus, both the pre theatre menu and a la carte, had a good selection. The service was smart and efficient. The restaurant is well located for the Barbican.
The food was good; service average. The restaurant was draughty and the men's toilet was disgraceful I come the the Barbican quite regularly and hope that the restaurant will improve so that i can become a frequent customer
I was shown promptly to the table. The services was good without being over attentive. The food was cooked as ordered and presented well. Prompt and efficient.
It's a chain. But a very nice chain. Good food, fantastic price for the early bird meal. Nice staff. Went to the Barbican branch and had a great meal and great service. Thanks guys
Very efficient staff and service. we enjoyed the food-the only problem was the level of noise as it was so busy that it was difficult to hold a conversation.
Good food. Lots of choice. Soup was a bit on the cold side. Was a bit loud and difficult to hear the others on our small table of 5.
The food was lovely, good menu Choices and good wine list and value for money but service was poor. Sadly will not rush back due to service
The food was good quality but not as hot as I would expect. Restaurant was busy so staff were keen to get our orders. Coffee should come after and not with puddings.
We were in a hurry as had to rush to a meeting, the service was super quick and very efficient. The food was good as well.
Excellent food, ambience and value for money at this branch of Cote. Ideal for lunch or an early evening dinner before seeing a film at the adjoining cinema.
Good unobtrusive service. Nice wine, good main courses. Restaurant felt a bit hot/ stuffy in temperature, but we enjoyed our pre-theatre supper and got all our eating and drinking and bill paying done in time with no fuss!
Excellent and quick service, polite and friendly staff. Good food. Always a good choice before going to the Barbican. But always book as itjis always very busy.
Apart from showing me to my table the service was very slow in getting going. I sat for quite a long time without even any water. Once I had attracted someone's attention it picked up quite well The food was very good. I'm sure that I was not the only one on a tights schedule as I was going to the Barbican theatre so to instil confidence the service needs to be efficient.
Really good value food and first-rate service at a peak time. In particular, one of our party arrived late because of problems on the tube and was looked after splendidly
Ideal place for dinner before taking a film or a concert at the Barbican. Staff very friendly and attentive and the food and wine was good value.
Toilets out of order! Saturday night! Draughty table location! Free Barbican membership drinks disputed! Sketchy service! Still even now waiting for requested items!(ketchup, more water etc) Not a great evening!!!!
