as always, staff are attentive but not fussy and food and menu are consistently good value for money. service comes at a good pace -prompt if you need it and more space and time if that's the preference.

The usual reliably good food and wine. Very helpful service, allowed fries to be swapped for fresh veg. Overall service was attentive and efficient. Recommended.

Just as expected. Very good. Food came quickly to the table (important as during an interval in a concert at the Barbican) and did not disappoint.

Food is good in the barbican branch. We do think they need more staff to deliver a good fair service for all in the restaurant. They were supposed to remove one dessert from the bill, when we got home saw it hadn't been taken off.

Very good service and plenty of choices. All food good and nicely presented. Only problem was the special soup was not available. And one of the sides was slightly delayed.

The lunch menu had plenty of choices and was good value for money. The food was good quality, portion sizes were plenty and the service friendly and efficient.

A very dependable chain. Food consistently good. We enjoyed the sea bass in the current set lunch menu as well as cod goujons, Breton chicken and the chicken and walnut salad.

The menu was very varied with lots to choose from. To start there were some picky sharing items & some fixed dishes. As a table of 5 we asked if we could mix several things & it was no problem. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, very efficient and smooth. The food was amazing &, for London, not too pricey. Good wine menu again reasonably priced . Friday night and very busy so, if you want a quiet meal, perhaps not for you but we enjoyed it and would certainly go again. Easy to book over the internet. Very handy for the Barbican. All round a very good experience.

Fantastic experience and brilliant service. The food was top quality. Always friendly staff who were very attentive. I would highly recommend anyone to use this restaurant for a meal out near the Barbican.

Excellent service. Muscles not as good as they should have been - tough & grity. Creamed spinach was all cream & far too little spinach (restaurant deleted charge for this dish). General ambiance & atmosphere excellent as we find whenever we eat at any of your restaurants.

Seven of us in the party. Some of us chose from the set menu, others from the main or vegetarian menu. All meals were lovely. Good service. Will definitely visit again.

Perfect welcome. A good atmosphere, a little bit noisy but it is normal for a brasserie. The food is good, excellent charcuterie and a good seabass (but the fennel was not enough cooked). To recommand.

The service was as usual prompt, friendly and efficient. The choice of food and wine is always interesting at Cote, and I appreciate the monthly specials. I was a little disappointed with my main course, but that was an exception.

Cote Barbican is our usual Barbican pre-performance choice when attending concerts with friends. As usual the service was friendly and efficient and the early evening prix-fixe very good value with a reasonable range of choices. Our friends (from deepest Lincolnshire) are amazed at the good quality for the relatively modest price.

Overall we had a lovely time, very cosy venue but as we were placed close to the door backing to the Barbican, with people constantly coming in and out, we were rather cold. Maybe it would be advisable to put a room spacer or something inside in front of the door to keep the cold out. As for the food we had the 3 course set menu which again was overall good but my partners sea bass meal was rather bland, so he didn't really enjoy it as much as in some of your other branches.

Good atmosphere, very pretty with the snow coming down. Just by the Barbican Centre, most convenient to combine with a visit. Do book or your might be unlucky. Food was good, service was excellent. The house wine, red, is really good and at a reasonable cost.

Lovely brunch catching up with friends. Food good quality and quick and polite service. Never felt pressurised to vacate the table. Our second visit. Thoroughly enjoyable time.

The staff were polite and the food was tasty. However we only had an hour as we were going to a concert and the service, despite frequent reminders and requests was very slow. they gave us a free glass of wine but that did not compensate for the anxiety and then have to bolt the food down.

I often visit Cote Barbican and usually find it ver good. I usually go pre-theatre and am seldom disappointed by the food on the good value lunch and pre-theatre selection. This time we were a little later in the evening and the place was packed. The hard surfaces seemed to magnify the sound so it was difficult to hear ourselves speak, which was a bit disappointing. My confit de canard was good, but the bed of cabbage was al out cold and the braised peas were also a bit cold but the glazed carrots were delicious. Still good but not quite as excellent as my recent lunch there/

Good Value with an excellent choice of courses from both the a la carte and specials menus. Brought a colleague from Tokyo and he was very impressed by the standard of food and wine.

Excellent service, excellent food ; all reasonably priced and unpretentious. The atmosphere in this Côte is great as the large windows let the light of the futurist Barbican view in!

We came at a busy midweek lunchtime but we were well looked after. Nice food and excellent value plus good choices with set menu available 12-7pm. R.ecommended.

The staff was very attentive and provided great recommendations, especially where the wine choice was concerned. My customer and I were very pleased with the food as well as the service.

Great food and service. We had the pre-theatre menu which is very reasonably priced. The minute steak was great as were the desserts. Will be back soon.

Delicious choices on the set menu, moules with a spicy sauce and langoustier to start with, smoked haddock Parmentier and their classic Apple crumble and ice cream for pud. Service excellent from friendly staff.

Good food. Quite loud and had to wait for a bit for service but it was busy. Decent value. Good location for business lunches near Barbican.

Very good choice of food options in the pre theatre menu served speedily by cheerful and helpful staff at a very busy time in the early evening.

They were very busy and one chef down but looked after us well and got us out on time for a concert. Very good value.

Good value, quick service and decent quality food and wine. The lunchtime set menus allow 3 courses without feeling too stuffed! Ideal for a business lunch or with friends. Will definitely return again.

As with any restaurant in this chain you know what you are getting. The food is always of a good standard and the service is always attentive but not overbearing. I would recommend this venue for anyone visiting the Barbican Centre.

A good choice for a meal before a performance at the Barbican. We allowed one and a half hours and had good time for a starter, main course and coffee.

Nice food as usual and good value for money but on this occasion I'm sorry to report that my main course was not very hot.

Good service and excellent food. It was my friend’s first visit to Cotes and he will definitely be making a return trip - the Barbican restaurant is perfect for a pre-concert menu.

Great service and food. Nice atmosphere. Both had a really nice night and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Food was served quickly and tasted amazing.

Pre-theatre menu is always good value and tasty. Unfortunately the service in this branch was less efficient than usual particularly noticeable once it became busy.

Lovely food as usual. Lunchtime visit today and quite quiet in the restaurant. We were made welcome as always. Only one of our well-known members of staff there today. A few new faces but we understand that as they sometimes come in from other Cote restaurants. A leisurely time was had by us.

great choice on the menu, friendly service, starters and main course delivered promptly and were really good - but why the long delay before serving the one dessert, so much so that we risked being late for our concert? Such a shame that this spoiled an otherwise very enjoyable meal.

Delicious meal and all three courses were perfect. Taking advantage of the many options on the pre-theatre menu, it was very reasonably priced. Speedy, friendly and efficient service too.

We visited Cote Barbican on a Friday evening. The restaurant was busy & had a positive buzz about it. We were greeted warmly by the manager who took us to our table. Service was good & our waitress was smiley, efficient & attentive - but not overly so. Despite the business of the restaurant, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. The food was tasty - two of us had cod goujons, minted peas & chips, another, grilled swordfish & ratatouille and the fourth person in our party had a fish & seafood stew which he said was really tasty. The four of us shared two very generous servings of profiteroles for desert -.they were really delicious! The bill at the end of the meal was reasonable -.just under £25 per head including wine & service. We'll definitely return to Cote Barbican another time.
