Excellent service and delicious food. Will be visiting again. We had a quick lunch and all tastes were catered for no matter what their requirements.

Excellent service and wonderful food. And they made sure we were finished with plenty of time left to see the play. I would recommend to others.

We had a lovely time. A slight problem with bringing our food out at the same time. One starter arrived late, and one main course arrived late. The food was very nice though.

This was the second Sunday evening in a row where the service was very slow and this time we could not fit in our desserts (we just made it in a great rush last week). It is such a shame that the friendly service and the very good food is marred by the front-of-house staff being overstretched and then, seemingly, the kitchen staff being in the same position as the gap between our two courses was very long indeed. Perhaps the management does not keep abreast of the timing of the main events at the Barbican?

As always, courteous, attentive and timely service. Very good at accommodating extra requests (on this occasion, fresh chopped chilli). Good quality food at reasonable prices.

Excellent meal, freshly cooked and tasty. There was a good choice of dishes on the set menu, which gave excellent value. Our waiter was friendly, the food arrived promptly and well presented. Altogether a pleasure.

Very friendly and professional service, and delicious food. The fixed price menus are excellent value and have a very good excellent selection of choices for each course.

Friendly service, food was overall fine but mediocre and the chocolate mousse tasted like it had spent far too long in the fridge. Nice to have a vegetarian menu but vegetarian options in the lunch menu are very limited (note to manager - parmesan cheese is not vegetarian, making the only vegetarian option in the lunch menu unsuitable for vegetarians).

Efficient and friendly service serving consistently good food. Highlight of our meal was a brilliant tuna Niçoise salad, served warm with soft-boiled eggs and pink tuna - the best I have had for a very long time and a nice change from the ones that are usually served straight from the fridge.

We had a little trouble getting our waitress to understand our needs, even though she was very pleasant. Otherwise the usual Cote standard was upheld.

We selected the pre-theatre menu and found the choice to be excellent, the food well prepared and the service efficient and courteous. Will definitely return.

I have been here several times now and never been disappointed. The pork belly is a particular favourite of mine but this time I had roast sea bream with fennel and a champagne sauce. It was equally good.

The food was petty delicious, good service however they had only very few from their wine selection sold by glass. Most of the wines were possible to buy only by bottle.

We all enjoyed our meal and managed to eat three courses despite a small delay in service when we were waiting to order. As we were going to a concert, timing was crucial to us.

Excellent! Actually came on the wrong day to attend a concert at the nearby Barbican Centre. But the meal more than made up for my error of date. So I'll be there tomorrow too!!!

Everything was very enjoyable. I had my old favourites minute steak and crème caramel. The wine was good and robust and the bread, as usual, was very good.

Excellent service from staff who were particularly attentive over dietary needs. This is one of my favourite Cote Brasseries for efficient but relaxed service any time of day.

Great location for the Barbican. It's a nice airy space with lots of natural light. Service, food etc was all as expected - v good. The lunch & pretheatre is good value. One gripe - avoid those tables in the middle of the room - staff kept bumping into them to get past.....

The adults in our party enjoyed their meal very much but the service was rather slow. Not a problem for adults but we had a young child- 3years old- who is very used to eating out. Her child's meal was very good but arrived long before ours and she wanted to eat with us and not on her own. Overall, it meant that we missed out on our complimentary desserts as she became restless and we had to leave.

Usual excellence in terms of unobtrusive but attentive service, pleasant environment and gourmet style presentation. Took grandchildren 4 and 6 years old and they were well catered for. The children’s menu was modified to suit their preferences.

Great variety of foods at breakfast and nicely prepared. Would have loved an almond croissant though. A large cafetière of filter coffee would also be a nice option at breakfast. A tiny coffee last 2 seconds! Service fairly good, not intrusive and reasonably attentive.

Food and service excellent - the place is always busy before one attends a performance at the Barbican, and my last visit was marred by two families with noisy, very young children - not the restaurant's fault, but it did spoil my experience. Nevertheless I will be happy to go back.

A very quiet Easter Monday evening - April 2nd. Great service - only hiccup was that the new April menu offered grilled Lamb Chops, but they'd sold out - SO soon...

I chose Toulouse sausages , but the Dijon mustard was not served on the side, so I could not choose to select how much or how little I wanted. In fact it was dumped in the lentils and infected everything, and as the mustard was too hot for my taste, my meal was spoilt.

This cote is just next to the barbican cinema at the end of beech street tunnel. So not in the actual barbican. Great menu choice, needs more staff.
