Short notice booking as delayed on Eurostar and no food. In flat! Welcomed and accommodated very nicely, as this branch always do. Food delicious too.

Service bit slow in The beginning. Menu and food excellent as always. Large table next to us made a lot of noise, we couldn’t relax.

Quiet for a Friday evening, but service initially poor. Second waitress was delightful. Set menu was good value, lovely fresh salad but the chocolate pot [though delicious] has a rough texture which was not pleasant.

Greeted promptly, seated with a smile and immediately served with the free aperitif we’d pre-ordered. Tasty food arrived in good time for a leisurely stroll to the ballet.

Really enjoyed our visit. Staff are welcoming and efficient and the food delicious. Service was prompt and courteous and the ambience is busy yet relaxing.

We arrived at 10.10, so pretty late, and weren't the last people there. Speedy, competent service, though our steaks were overdone somewhat (if it's the steak from the 'Steak Frites' option, it's thin, so order 'bleu' if you want it pink). Nice bottle of Fleurie, a good end to an evening at the Barbican.

Staff charming, free aperitifs much appreciated, but steak au poivre - one of the specials - pretty poor. The first time that I've ever had an unsatisfactory meal at Côte. R

Fairly busy on a Sunday evening; good menu, my friend had veal which he liked. I wasn’t that impressed with the poussin. It was a reasonable price and I would go again.

Really reasonable set menus, lovely staff, great food! A little slow getting our mains out but once we said that we needed to make a show at the theatre they sped things up and we got there in time. Would go back if I went to anything else at the Barbican.

Friendly staff, good food 90% of time. Wheelchair friendly. Excellent value for money and extensive menu that meets all dietary needs. A set menu too is good for groups.

An excellent lunch menu - started with sardines with piquant chicken as a main course - both very well presented and cooked. Very good and friendly service.

The service was very slow (we were in there an hour before getting our mains) and I think our starters were forgotten. My friend also asked for a well done steak and she had to send it back as it was very pink and bloody inside. When the steak was returned it was still not right but as we were in there well over an hour, she had to stick with it. It's a little disappointing as we love Cote and go there regularly!

We went early evening and had a very good pre-theatre menu with plenty to choose from. The service was very efficient and the food was very good.

Welcomed with a smile and offered a choice of good tables! Menus and water were brought promptly - water was particularly welcome at that stage as it was a hot day. There was a good choice of food and drink available and the choices made were all delicious as usual. The atmosphere was very relaxed, air conditioning great, service was friendly and efficient without making you feel you were being hurried. All round, an enjoyable and relaxing experience - great value for money! Well done to all the staff!!

Very efficiently run restaurant. High level of service. Food was served promptly and was good quality. Tends to be quite noisy at peak times, but otherwise excellent.

Great service, reasonably priced. Not enough fries though with the chicken! Still great! Best creme caramel EVER. Highly recommend. Just seconds away from the Barbican Hall.

20 minutes for order to be taken. Another 15 mins for drinks. Server couldn’t care less and when asked for a menu item without cheese struggled to understand

First time to this Côte Brasserie close to the Barbican and just a short walk from both Moorgate and Barbican tube stations. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food and nice atmosphere.

Perhaps the most spacious and airy of the London Cote Brasserie outlets and always busy before a major Barbican concert so book in wellin advance

The food was good, the service was lovely - nothing to much trouble swapping different menu items around. Many thanks for a very pleasant pre-theatre dinner, great value.

Foods were great in a relaxing atmosphere. It'd have been even better if the service matched the atmosphere. Our waiter was not attentive & missed our coffee orders, which we didn't bother asking again in the end.

There is always a greatmenu choice. However as this place is always so very busy, given the valve in the local area that the service needs more staff.

Service good, food not quite as good as usual, steak fatty, seafood linguine excellent. Good value as always. Had to wait quite a while to order dessert when the restaurant was busy.

Cote at Barbican is convenient to the Barbican Centre. We went before a concert. The pre-theatre menu offered quick, tasty, seasonal options and the a la carte also highlighted quick options. Steak frites is a classic. Vegetable sides were also delicious.

Lovely food and lovely staff but we were seated by the coffee machine so couldn't hear ourselves speak and it was very difficult to get someone to take our payment. Nearly late for our concert. This is not my usual experience of Cote Barbican though.

Calamari and white Muscadet by the glass was disappointing ( would like to have seen the bottle of wine ! Steak bearnaise sauce was nice.

We love the Cote chain as it is so reliable and of the ones we regularly go to this is the best as it is a bit quieter . The service was excellent and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. And of course the food was delicious especially the mussels

As a pre-concert supper your offering was ideal. Prompt service and very good value - especially with the complimentary bubbly. This was not our first visit, and won't be our last.

Always good, great seasonal offerings and portion size good for the price paid. Really really good young waiter, attentive, friendly and very pleasant. Great location for the Barbican which is why we choose it when attending concerts.

Decent food, nice atmosphere and reasonably prompt service. What's not to like? Can't comment on the value, though, as someone else was kindly picking up the bill!

A reasonable dinner for the price and a good service.shame belly pork fat wasn't crisp as it always should be. That's all for now I think

Tried the new prestige men this time. Worth the extra. Tasty English asparagus and pork belly. And indulgent Coupe noire ice cream with chocolate sauce.

Good food, excellent value. Service was courteous and attentive, and my party of six had a really pleasant evening. Only drawback was that it was rather noisy. Highly recommended.

Great venue and atmosphere. Felt we were sitting in a large Parisian brasserie. Opted for set menu which was excellent value but quality of food was not so great particularly butternut squash and chickpea cake - dry and uninteresting. Should have chosen from the main menu. Service was good but we waited a very long time (30 minutes!) for a dessert. Wine was wonderful.

Enjoyable restaurant to spend time with a friend before going to a concert at the Barbican . Lots of choices on the menu for all pockets

The food we had from the 3 course set menu at £14.95 was amazing. Asparagus soup ..the best. Flatbread with caramelised onions and baked Camembert delicious, Haddock, and the best Creme caramels we have tasted in a long time...different and almost like a Panna Cotta. Beautiful rose wine...Laborie under £20 a bottle. We had a window seat overlooking the Barbican buildings, not the best sight but after this great value, delicious meal...close your eyes, you could have been sitting in a square in Provence. Staff we're lovely and friendly too.

Delicious seasonal food and exceptionally friendly waiter staff who are obviously very used to and very good at making sure you get away in time for your show at the Barbican. Our fifth visit here and have never been disappointed.

Besides the food which was excellent, the serving staff were charming, super attentive, and appeared to be enjoying their job. I took my mother, for her first visit to a Cote restaurant and she really appreciated and even got a hug from one of our waiters afterwards ! I really appreciated them making our visit so enjoyable. OK for pre-concert or theatre. Very friendly staff and prompt service. Food rather unimaginative but well cooked. Wines were good and not prohibitively expensive. But not gourmet!

Always reliably good! Fixed price menu is consistent and the service is always excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending it, or taking guests here.

Unfortunately our experience was not a good one.The soup was cold even though we sent it back twice and my meal was cold.Must say the manergeress was very upset and did not charge us for the meal and offered a complimentary bottle of wine as well.
