It was great to return to Cote at the Barbican and sit in the window enjoying the perfect lunch of steak frites... just like pre-pandemic! Excellent service and food, thank you. Go and enjoy...
Lovely meal for two , served with enthusiasm and humour an enjoyed our our free fig cocktail. This Barbican branch was well socially distanced and deserves to be much fuller!
Food where spot on and the waiters where great. Will be back!
Friendly service and good food, in a difficult environment with all of the current restrictions.
Good food, service, ambiance and felt very safe -well done
We felt we were very close to other diners. Unnecessarily so as one end of the restaurant was completely empty. Staff were as helpful as ever.
We didn't have much time to spare - trains to catch etc - but the staff made sure it all worked out well.
Safe and relaxed with lovely food as always and fab wine Excellent value and service
10/10 - service and food were fantastic. Great environment which was relaxing and not overly busy for a Saturday.
Great customer service from waiters and good tasty brunch :)
It was lovely - enhanced tremendously by the welcoming staff
Lovely food, good service, so glad to be back. Still noisy though!
Lovely food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. So very enjoyable.
It was really nice to be back at Cote again
Over an hours wait for our food - apparently a problem in the kitchen but no extra drink or similar by way of an apology. The pudding my husband chose was unavailable. Our first time back since lockdown and overall a disappointing e perience.
The food is consistently fabulous and the service is an absolute delight. My favourite place
So good you are back. Long may it last. We have now had two brunches and several great meals. Good luck. Keep it up please.
The service was great and the food amazing. Will come back
Delicious food, probably the best we have had. No better place to eat currently near the Barbican.
Happy to see Cote open again this restaurant never disappoints
So glad that Barbican Cote is back in business, very well organised for Covid anxieties. Long may it last ... Lovely Eggs benedict, Croque Madame etc for family brunch again. Excellent steak/frites and creme caramel for lunch three days ago, two days after opening. Promise to eat here as much as I can for as long as I can.
Superb . Ate there two nights on the bounce . Top food great service and I’m fussy 👍🏼
Enjoyable evening. Good food great atmosphere, what’s not to like?
So glad reopen and same staff on duty. Food same excellent standard
Great as ever. Attentive service. Shame the lunch set menus aren’t on offer but understand the logic
The menu, the food and the service were all excellent; we enjoyed the evening and appreciated the fact that we were allowed to stay on to finish our meal, even through the official closing time had passed!
Good to return to Cote Barbican and to reacquaint ourselves with the staff we haven't seen for 6 months.
Excellent service and tasty food, only the chicken with my salad was a little too dry
As a past regular customer it was great to be back, and to see staff I knew back. Christian is, of course, a great manager!
The food was great as always. However, the restaurant was very busy and it seemed like there were not enough staff working for the pre-theatre rush. The waitress was very sweet but she was running around trying to serve everyone. We had to call staff several times. My friend got there 25 mins before me and she was not even offered a drink until I got there and we called the waitress. You know that you are going to busy for pre-theatre so you really should know to have enough staff working. Also, I had booked for 2 but there were 3 of us in the end and we were squeezed around a table for 2, yet the table next to us didn’t have anyone sitting there before we left (someone did sit there but she moved to another table).
Table booked for a post Theatre meal , great atmosphere a real buzz to the place. The only downside was the inability of the serving staff to deliver something other than exactly what is on the menu. My wife ordered the salmon as a main with two additional requests, sauce on the side and served on a plate not in a bowl, mains arrived and her salmon had the sauce over the fish and was served in a bowl, we told the waitress who rectified it quickly and blamed the kitchen for not following her order which she obviously had forgotten about as she took it. Perhaps not a great problem but the reality was myself and our guest had to delay eating our mains whilst my wife’s main was recooked /replaced which resulted in our mains being slightly cold when we eventually ate them, irritating and in my view unneccessary We use various Cote restaurants in central London and consistency is good but I must say our food seemed below the usual standard this time, my main , Poulet Grill was absolutely smothered in the Mushroom sauce and the potatoes underneath had hardly been cooked, very soapy and bland, my wife’s Frits with her salmon were very / overly salted, not worth sending back as this would have delayed our mains even further. Minor things but enough to taint the meal
Again last night we were treated to good food and service at Cote. It’s consistently a good place to go with friends. Great value compared to other restaurants.
food was not as good as usual today but the service was
Lovely evening at the Barbican London Cote Restaurant, with good friendly service and excellent menu choices. Would happily visit again. I would recommend the chicken liver parfait.
Reasonable food and choice in the set menu and prompt service. The Sardines starter was very disappointing. Minuscule portion and not very appetizing either!
Service was slow and not particularly friendly, food was poorly cooked and main course lukewarm. Waiter couldn't answer basic questions about food which is worrying considering the need for clear and unambiguous allergen advice.
It was all good apart from the fact that you claimed you didnt have my booking. Please sort out your systems as we booked weeks in advance
Fine from start to finish. Usual high standard. Enough said?
Ore-theatre menu was excellent value for money. Very good customer experience. Lovely ambience. Pleasant and friendly greeters and waiters. Spacious environment, all on the same level, including the loos (no cheeky steps in the restaurant area or flights of stairs down to the basement!).
The meal was a lunch before a concert with the family, and it was lovely - the food, the service, the glass of wine - all just what was needed and a lovely part of the afternoon. The venue is not over crowded, the staff are always attentive and charming. The food at Cote is consistent and this was as always very good, and good value. Thank you for your contribution to a lovely family time.
An excellent meal. The food was of a high standard and certainly generous helpings. The service was good, being both helpful and speedy. And all at a reasonable price. We will be back.
As always a delicious meal with attentive efficient service and in a spacious, light and pleasant setting. The pre-theatre menu is very good value. Would always recommend.
Food was good and prices reasonable. The waiting staff were nice and friendly and almost got things right, but not quite...for example they cleared the cutlery from starters, brought the mains but forgot to bring new cutlery ( we went and got it ourselves from nearby shelf), bread came without butter, one of us had no water glass... I think the problem is one of training, and actually looking to see what is going on at the table.. Generally speaking we do like Cote...
6 of us had a very pleasant and tasty Saturday night reunion. Good value, good if simple food & wine, good service, plenty of space on a fairly quiet night, so noise level ok. Recommended.
One of our top three favourite restaurants - we go here probably once a month! All the branches we’ve tried in London - probably five of them - are excellent.
Unusually it was a very disappointing meal, indeed I’m surprised it was allowed to leave the kitchen! The starter of Moules was emaciated, I’ve never been presented with such miserable specimens. The main of Sea Bream was a single small fillet that had been overcooked to the point of being dry underneath, as was the fennel accompaniment. All very disappointing.
Excellent food and experience , I will be back for more celebrations!!!
Usual friendly greeting upon arrival Speedy polite prompt and helpful service Up to the expected Cote “ Gold Standard “ Staff never fail to totally please
Another good value meal at Cote Barbican. Great service from the staff. Good range of dishes on the set menus. Busy though and got quite noisy.
This branch of Cote never disappoints, always great food, great service and good value for money in a great location, book an early dinner as it does tend to get busy and a noisey with the Barbican pre theatre crowd.
