Great venue and friendly efficient service with an excellent choice of food.
Nice atmosphere in friendly restaurant with attentive staff and nice food, just right quantities.
Great set menu for only £ 1 4. 9 5
Very nIce food at a reasonable cost and good service.
Excellent value for money, relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. Will return!
great chain restaurant, the best in the UK, nothing comes near to it.
Everything about the visit was great except that I asked for a blue steak and got medium rare one. But it tasted very good anyway.
Service a bit slow ,very noisy ,food tasty, great atmosphere enjoyed
As always; great service, interesting menu and quick delivery at sensible prices
Made a last minute booking on a Wednesday evening thinking it would be relatively quiet but it was super busy. Despite this we were seated immediately and served relatively promptly. Would return.
Cote in the Barbican was reliable as ever with friendly, helpful service and an excellent range of dishes which are well cooked and we'll presented.
Very good pre theatre meal. Service was very good, but they overcharged us by mistake. We told them and our bill was rectified
Excellent service and good tasty food, perfect for pre theatre meal , would use it again & again .
Very good restaurant chain, use them for pre or post show meals at the Barbican and Southbank
This was a perfect meal before a concert at the Barbican Hall. Good food, served by a very friendly group of people. What more could one want
Very enjoyable lunch would definitely visit again. Good for any occasion
Everything was good. Roast chicken was a little small and a little dry.
We all had breakfast and the dishes were well executed. Service was friendly and attentive.
At 6.00pm the place was filling fast. As always the staff team worked efficiently and pleasantly through the crowded restaurant. We selected from the Prestige menu. The baked crottin and salad starter was excellent. However our main courses had suffered from overcooking, or over-waiting, particularly the fish (salmon) which was thoroughly dried out. This is below the normal Cote standard. However, to complain and send back for a fresh replacement would have taken more time than our theatre start time would have allowed. Not my best Cote experience.
Always a good experience, delightful staff, great atmosphere, food slightly salty for me this time, but usually top notch.
There were some people at the next table being very loud and sometimes singing. But apart from that, everything else was fantastic!
Both the food and the service were reliable as usual
I love this branch of Cote, the service is always great and the ambiance lovely. Slight let down this time as the food took way too long to arrive
Prompt friendly service, pretty setting, excellent moules frites. Try to sit by the window!
Great Service and excellent food. Would definately go there again
The service was excellent as was the food. This is consistently the best Cote I have used. Great for business lunches and family weeekends.
This is a lovely place but now the service seemed even better
Excellent service and good food I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch
Good food & service but the restaurant was too stuffy, which was slightly unpleasant.
Enjoyed it and nice atmosphere. Food was good although tartar sauce on the cod didn’t come on it’s own and was covering fish
Great service (as always here) and very enjoyable food on the Prestige set menu before the theatre; enjoyed a window table for watching the world go by.
Staff were very attentive and helpful this evening. Food was as reliable as ever at Côte. Unfortunately my partner was unwell and unable to eat the food. Without prompting the manager removed the cost from the bill. Throughout staff were solicitous and friendly, even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Well done Côte!
Fries portion was way too small! Felt quite hungry afterwards but didnt have time for dessert.
Very smooth and attentive service and food was prompt and tasty.
As usual we had a pleasant time as the restaurant was clean and comfortable and the service was welcoming, polite and efficient. It is an excellent place to dine before attending performances at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama or the Barbican Centre.
Excellent. We use this venue quite often when visiting the cinema.... great choice as said previously, to suit the mood and/or occasion!
We eat here regularly and all is consistently good. The February special Boudin Noir is brilliant and it should be on permanent offer (I think it used to be?). The Tarte au Citron is also brilliant but - I feel my goat cheese slice in my salad was skimped -smaller than usual! Great staff - as usual.
Great service, menu was perfect, fantastic meal. Very reasonable prices. Will return.
We liked the new banquettes. The staff are always polite if not always very efficient. The food was fine always very consistent. The main reason why we go to this restaurant is the ambience and the location.
The changing monthly menu is a good idea especially, if like us, you are a regular at The Barbican concert hall or theatre. The staff were attentive as usual. One small criticism, the duck although tasty was slightly tough,
Côte Barbican is one of my favourite restaurants because the noise level is much lower than at other restaurants (without overly affecting the atmosphere) and the service is great: relaxed but not lackadaisical. The food is always good (we usually go for one of the set menus if we can) and great valley for money.
Great Brasserie food with friendly service in an elegant atmosphere
Great Brasserie food with friendly service in an elegant atmosphere
The service, and the food (particularly the steak), were top class, as usual. We will continue to use this restaurant whenever we are in the area.
It was very busy but there was no excuse to forget to bring my food and leave me sitting for over 30 minutes while others received their food. They also added the 12.5% service charge to the bill despite agreeing to remove it
Breakfast at the weekend was very good as usual. Tried the vegetarian option for a change - delicious! Would have been better if the avocado pear had been a bit riper. Other than that, perfect, thank you!
As always ... excellent service and good food. No set menus available for our evening meal but still a very good choice available on the a la carte . Extensive and well priced wine list to accompany the meal. We use this venue and their restaurant in Chislehurst quite often (lucky us) ... quality and vfm maintained.
It was busy on a Sunday afternoon, before a Barbican concert, but the food was served fairly quickly and efficiently. The fish stew had plenty of different seafood in it but I did get the feeling that the sauce/broth was not properly made on site and could have been better and a little more plentiful for the price. Don't get me wrong - all the food and the wine were great to eat and drink but a dish like a fish stew could be really great.
My favourite Cote in London - always friendly service and quality food/wine. Perfectly located for pre-concert dinner...
Excellent choice of lunch time menus. Two well priced set menus each with a good selection plus and an extensive a la cart selection with a good range of prices matched by an equally wide choice of drinks on the wine list. Meeting a couple of friends for a catch up we enjoyed our lunch the service and the comfort. Have booked again for Friday evening when we are at the Barbican cinema.... all so convenient!
Cote is perfect for a preconcert meal. Reasonably priced set menus with a wide choice of dishes and wine My waiter was friendly and attentive
