Pre theatre service was key. all our requests promptly addressed. Excellent food and restaurant was buzzing.
Well designed restaurant, attentive and helpful staff and wonderful food and drink.
Great service by very pleasant staff9 delicious food and great wine.
Excellent meal with menu that catered for gluten free with careful identification of meal to prevent contamination. Pleasant staff and very close to Barbican theatre. Worked very well. Thank you.
Outstanding service this evening. Food was excellent and fantastic value for money as always and all served with perfect timing. Waiters were extremely attentive despite the restaurant being extremely busy. Faultless service!
Excellent service and a great menu choice. The Barbican Cote is ideally situated for the Barbican theatre and concert hall.
My Cote de Boeuf meal in the wonderful setting of the Barbican was in a class of it own. The service was impeccable, as always, and the friendliness of the staff is amazing. They must love their job there. That's why I go back time and time again. Faultless. Well done to all the team at the Cote Brasserie in the Barbican.
Wonderful service and a great welcome with a complimentary Kir royale which was delicious. The food choice was excellent and very well presented.
Lovely food and very good service-can’t fault the meal out
Really disappointed! I am a regular customer at Cote Bath and have never been disappointed. I have been to Cote Barbican twice. The first time a month ago, the food was luke warm and fairly uninspiring. Today it managed to move to a different league - sadly downwards. We both chose duck from the a la cartel menu and it was inedible. None of the fat had been rendered down, the meat was tough and impossible to cut. Again, nothing was more than warm. Waiting staff very pleasant and did not charge us for this main course but the bill was nevertheless £16 for an ice cream and taste au citron. Will not visit that particular branch of Cote again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the ambience. Don't like a service charge automatically being added though
We booked a table, a good job we did as cote was full and deservadly so. The service was excellent as was the food and price.
Everything excellent but the noise level is impossible. Even though I was moved to a quieter table it was difficult to talk. I know this is a ubiquitous problem but more and more I now go for restaurants which I know will not be too noisy and there aren't many of them......
Great place to have a meal. Service is excellent as is the food and the price is competitive. The only criticism is that it can be noisy, hence my preference for quiet tables in the corner
Our server Tom was great as always. We will be back again in October. Please tell her how good and attentive she was. A real asset to your restaurant.
Superb as always!! You simply cannot get a better meal for the price.
Great vote experience. Pre theatre Neal delivered efficiently. With good service and typical French dishes. Reliable as ever
Again, the staff could not be more helpful and the value for money is excellent.
As always the steak frites and free cocktail were delicious. Service was attentive but my friend and I were allowed to stay on over post lunch coffee to catch up on a year's news without feeling pressured to leave.
Can't fault it - food and service excellent. My experience of Cote restaurants has been a bit variable in the past, but this particular one is great and in a perfect location for the Barbican.
The staff were so lovely and the food was too! We went at 6.30 for a meal and then went back at 10pm after our show at the Barbican for dessert. They were so accommodating and friendly even though it was so late. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return! Thank you :)
We had to remind the waiter about our wine, which eventually arrived un-chilled part-way through the main course. In half a dozen visits to this Côte (I attend the cinema frequently and it is convenient), something ALWAYS gets forgotten. Side dishes, cutlery, wine. I’ve yet to get through a meal where the staff are properly engaged and attentive. I should like to be able to report otherwise, but that would simply not be true. The food is as you would expect. Basic French brasserie style dishes. Simple enough to churn out. Tasty and filling.
Excellent food, service and value on the set menu. The steak frites in particular was delicious.
I am a frequent user of Cote and know that I can invite friends to join me with confidence in the food and service.
We always use Côte restaurants when in London this was our first time at the Barbican, as usual the whole experience was perfect. Thanks to all for a great evening.
The service was excellent and the food was too. When you are eating pre-theatre you need to know they will get a move on so you aren't late for the performance. We appreciated the prompt yet courteous service. Thank you.
Overall a relaxing friendly experience with good food and staff.
One main course forgotten, sides then got cold, late main was cold
Good service, pleasant restaurant, enjoyable food - and a free bottle of wine!
Cote is possibly my favourite chain - always consistent, evolving seasonal menus and great service. Keep it up please :-)
Fantastic food and service. Had lovely dinner with my husband-highly recommend the calamari, goat's cheese and roasted vegetables salad
Good service and VFM as always . Only down side a few dishes weren’t available .
This was a reasonably quick visit before a film in the cinema next door. Good quality food and wine, as always.
The staff were exceptional. They recognised our birthdays with a complimentary drink. Additionally we were on a tight timescale and they ensured the order and food came without any delay. I was very impressed.
Surroundings are lovely, but the food was average at best. The calamari, tasted of nothing and even their signature chicken dish was pretty tasteless. I remember is as far tastier and that was only 6 months ago! Service really good however and the staff are very friendly. Shame the food wasn't up to the normal high standard.
We are regular users of Cote and remain loyal to the brand as we like the wide menus, value for money an quality of service. Today’s lunch was a little disappointing. We were underwhelmed by the August monthly menus (usually there is a lot we like) and the pork tenderloin we both chose from the ‘prestige’ menu was a little dry and boring. The carrots were undercooked, but were immediately replaced and we weren’t charged for them. Probably a blip, but we hope the monthly menus remain good value and good quality. We both feel they have been less good recently.
Great value great food friendly service. Will definitely go again
Great food as usual. Service attentive but they didn't pressure us to finish lunch.
A pleasant Sunday night dinner, with good food and attentive service.
Thank you for the lovely evening, we have an amazing time! Fantastic food and professional team! Highly recommend.
good service good food good price very comfortable and easy to hear our conversations waitress was especially nice and helpful
Wonderful food with a great choice of gluten free options. The service was efficient and friendly and I wasn't made to feel at all uncomfortable about the fact that I was dining alone.
I'm still a loyal visitor to Cote, but we have noticed that the standard of the food has been slipping. Last night we had the calamari and prawn gratinée as starters, and the cote de boeuf as the main. The latter was OK, but the calamari were very greasy and lukewarm and altogether uninspiring. The gratinée was like prawns in an out-of-the-packet sauce a bit like a tinned tomato soup. Cote used to be so much better than this - but somehow the flavours are no longer fresh and inspiring. Let's hope it finds its mojo again soon.
As ever, the food in Côte at Barbican was good and I ate, mainly, from the small specials list. Service can be a little slow at times especially when people are heading for a concert at nearby Barbican. Being as popular as it is, though, that’s understandable but you do need to try hard to catch their eye sometimes.
great value and tasty lunch in a good location in the city
Wonderful service, relaxed but very warm and professional. A lovely evening. Thanks!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very busy as a number of diners were going to the barbican. However are meal was delivered promptly and was very good.
Overall the experience was very nice. The waitress dropped a glass by our table but it was handled very well. I chose the Poulet Grille which was quite dry unfortunately, plus i think the dish would benefit from some more vegetables but overall it was very nice and tasty.
Very good meal and nice vibrant atmosphere. Good efficient service
Always good here. Apart from running out of green beans?! 😂
