I have been a customer for a decade and its fabulous for a pretheart menu as I use, staff are on the ball Food is right,I recon the atmosphere is European cafe,just what I need. Its clean, plates, & cutlery clean. Which is more than I can say for the WC its in need of a refit,as is it all .A great place, but in need of some TLC .THE Staff get 12.5% good I make. Regards Aj

Unusually, yesterday's food was not as good as we are accustomed to, even though all four of us selected from the Prestige menu. The French onion soup was thin and the cheese covered toasts on top were soggy at the start. Two of us had the duck confit, which was dry - possibly kept warm for too long. However, the pork fillet was superb, freshly cooked. Staff were thin on the ground. Was it changeover time? There was a long gap between first and second course. This too is unusual.

Would recommend - attentive staff and they do a great rare steak! :)

One of my favourite restaurants. Love the food and service. Recently celebrated my birthday at Barbican branch with a very crazy loud large group. Servers were all lovely, polite and accommodating. Thank you.

We often use Cote, especially when we travel to London by rail from our home here in North Norfolk as it is easy to access Liverpool Street Station from the restaurant. Moreover, the food and service is always good at the Barbican. However, we have found Cote in Bury-St-Edmunds and Norwich to be equally good on the food side.

The service was great as always, but the food was disappointing. Everything seemed as if it had been cooked earlier and either kept on a hot plate, or reheated, as was dry and overdone.

We went with the express intention of having a crepe complet for Shrove Tuesday Unfortunately we had misunderstood the Cote bulletin, and the complet was only intended by them to be served as a breakfast dish....sad faces from us, but as usual with Cote, their staff were great and the chef gave us the crepes we wanted. We've been going to Cote for a long time to various locations around London, and they never disappoint - great food at a reasonable price, and we are always taken care of by great staff.

Service was too slow for the light lunch/early dinermenu, and the restaurant was far from full. Started arrived tepid.

Well placed for the Barbican. Always up to a standard & good place for a meal on the way to the concert hall.

A lovely good value Sunday lunch on a stormy day. Everything was just right - the meal, the service, the atmosphere and the price.

The food was good quality very tasty and the service staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely surroundings if somewhat noisy. Sadly there was a significant gap between two of our meals arriving and half our party had almost finished before the remainder received their meals.

We had a lovely time. I booked on line. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and good value for money. Very convenient if you are visiting The Barbican Centre.

I had set 12.95 2 courses. Starter very nice egg florentine. Fresh and egg perfectly cooked. Main steak frites. Unfortunately steak tasteless and more like cardboard. Appreciate difficult cooking minute steak but when I have had previously has been pink still..this was overcooked and not nice. My daughter had the 8oz rib eye and cooked nicely and flavoursome. She ordered rare and this came medium rare which was fine as she allowed for overcooking.

Lovely service and pleasant atmosphere as would expect with Cote. However, a couple of us tried the vegan parmentier main dish with walnuts and wild mushrooms. We both found it bland, rather mushy and underwhelming. I also felt the side dishes we ordered - the peas, carrots and creamed spinach were all on the rather stingy side.

Service was good and considerate and food was not at all bad, though salmon was a bit oily. Restaurant was extremely hot.

Prompt, efficient and charming service. The Merlot was very good. The meal was excellent - Liver Parfait, Smoked Salmon and bread all very tasty. Duck cooked to perfection, as were the generous side servings of vegetables. Regrettably we had to leave before Dessert as we were going to the Barbican for a show.

Food poor had to send it back. Had to chase for someone to take our order in the first place. Service was so slow had to forego the desserts ordered. Our bill was incorrect having charged us for something we didn’t order. Overall this was not a pleasant experience and one which we will not be repeating.

We always enjoy eating at Cote Barbican when attending a concert at the Barbican. Usually we eat before the concert but yesterday as the concert started at 6.30pm we ate afterwards. The restaurant was very busy. We had to queue when we arrived and By the time the main courses were served w3 had been there for over an hour.

Everything good apart from the black Americano coffee which was terrible

A very pleasant and efficient waitress but it's a shame that, on turning up early for a 10.30pm booking on a Friday, we were asked to order quickly as the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. (Why then is it possible to book online for 10.30pm?) Having said no to puddings, we were given the bill and then, at 11.30, asked to leave because "the cleaners will be coming soon." There were nearly 2000 people in the Barbican Concert Hall that evening, who came out at the same time as we did. To me, hustling people out after supper and turning other people away shows deplorably bad business sense.

We had lunch at the Barbican Côte Brasserie today, to celebrate two birthdays. The food was great … delicious options to meet all our various preferences. The service was particularly impressive. The waiters were prompt, friendly and helpful, even though the restaurant was very busy. I've eaten at several Côte restaurants over the years and today's lunch was by far the best. I recommend it, and will definitely return. PS I forgot to mention that we were each given a surprise glass of prosecco in honour of the birthdays!

Had a great pre-show supper, lovely aperitifs to start, tasty calamari and soup and then a great rib-eye steak. Service was very quick which was ideal as we only had an hour. Shame we couldn’t have dessert. Will get there earlier next time!
