Great breakfast including the set menu of cooked breakfasts with coffee and juice for under £10, they made a slight error with a couple of the orders but were quick to fix and didn't charge us for those meals!
Good food and service, perfect for a reasonably priced but delicious pre theatre dinner. The water jugs were a bit odd because it was difficult to gauge how much water there was left in them, however.
Charming , very helpfull waiters and waitresses during the whole of our meal.. our steak and duck were perfectly cooked 11 out of 10 !!! Thank you for the complementary fizz.

Good location and pleasant staff but food not on a par. Too much vinegar in salad dressing. Risotto was not hot! if we had not been on route to theatre would have sent main a back. We pointed out to staff who offered complementary pud.
Really excellent service at Barbican Cote. Speedy (we were going to the theatre) but also very friendly. Steaks were delicious and choice of wine excellent.
Cote is the most consistently reliable restaurant chain. I have visited many branches of Cote and would recommend any one them, their staff recruitment and training is superb.
excellent value lunch menu. stayed all afternoon, before concert. staff very nice and not worried about us staying so long ( it was raining!). we will be back
We love Côte, but this wasn't a great experience. We struggled to get the staff's attention and my steak, which was supposed to be medium was well done. Sadly there was no time to send it back as we were told it would take 15mins and we had a show to catch. The manager comped my drinks, so that was kind.
Probably the best meal I've had at Cote. Good black pudding starter, excellent poussin main with salardaise potatoes and decent crumble dessert French style of course
100🌞 Ok was really fast, great food, soup could be slightly hotter, good nice service, really nice place and professional staff. Will recommend to my friends ;)
Not the usual high standard of service. Initially it was good however no follow up or checks to see that everything was ok. 12.5 % service is heavy
Had reservation but hostess seated me in different area of restaurant from my guest who was already there - 20mins before we realised so annoying
This was one of our regular visits to Cote Barbican. I was surprised that we had to ask for our complimentary kir as it has arrived without asking previously. The main courses took longer than expected to arrive and it was obvious that the haddock had been waiting to be served for some time and had dried out considerably. It was a disappointing dish for a summer menu as the haddock and the puy lentils gave an overwhelming appearance of greyness and there were far too many lentils. The staff responded effectively by deducting the cost of the haddock dish as, by the time a replacement arrived, we had both shared the poussin as the other main course.
The Prawn Gratinee, Calamari and Haddock were delicious as was the bread we had before the meal. The service was spot on. Will definitely return.
We enjoyed our visit and main courses and deserts especially. It was a shame that we had to remind twice about the aperitif offer & our choice of starters not available but were given gratis replacement.

We had been invited back as our first experience in the Barbican Cote was terrible, however on this occasion the service was much improved and the food good.
We had a table for two, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. This was the second time this week! All the staff are so professional and very charming. We look forward to our next visit.
Nice venue. Quite friendly staff. Ambience a bit stuffy and pretentious. Very small portions for price - beans tad over cooked so unpleasant texture. Chicken very tasty and well cooked.
Good friendly and efficient service and quality food. Good pre concert eating venue. Decent choice on the menu and reasonable wine list. Definitely good value for money.

We attended a Study Day at the Barbican and enjoyed dinner at Cote. The service was a little slow although this did not matter as we had allowed plenty of time. The waiter was helpful and knowledgable and the food good and at a reasonable price.
It was a quiet Monday evening in this Cote, for a change. A pleasant welcome, swift courteous service, great food, relaxing Nothing missing from the menu. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Service slower than it's been in the past, particularly service of the sweet and I had to go to the bar to pay the bill.
Lovely lunch! Only downside was that the waiter was very softly spoken and, as English was not his first language and there was a lot of background noise, we had to ask him to repeat everything he said, which was a little awkward!
Went to Cote Brasserie in Barbican for lunch on Tuesday. Really tasty food at this restaurant. Staff were really friendly and happy to help and responsive. Had a great time.
We are always impressed by the warm, helpful and friendly welcome from all staff - as well as excellent food, efficiently served in good time. Thank you!
Had previously theatre menu before going to see a show at the Barbican this evening. Liked the menu choices. Service was very good . Enjoyed my meal and Evening
Excellent food and service pre concert. Late arrival of one of our party dealt with very helpfully. All dined on the Menu which is great value.
Restaurant was crowded and service was slow but the set meal was as usual splendid value. Good choice on set menu and food had plenty of flavour
Very slow, no time for dessert before concert even though arrived 5.45pm and had pre theatre menu. Food ok not special but had to rush it
We have eaten at Cote Barbican on many occasions and have never had a bad experience. Our most recent visit was, however, most disappointing. It took a long time before our starters arrived and we waited nearly 45 minutes for our main courses. The staff attempted to serve us main courses that were for a different table but nobody had the courtesy to apologise for the delay. We had to call a member of staff over in order to complain. When the main courses arrived we had very little time left to eat the food. My risotto main course was almost cold but we did not have time to send it back. Later a supervisor/manager came over to apologise for the delay and we had money taken off our bill. We like Cote restaurants and will probably go back to the Barbican branch but this experience has left a sour taste.
great food in lovely surroundings. Never been to a Cote before and found it very impressive. Food was served quickly after ordering (although waiter was very slow to come and take our order). Quantity perfect. Food tasty and well seasoned, and presented. Desserts gorgeous. Plates were very hot - hooray! Loved the Pernod which I had not had for years. Excellent value. Will now seek out a local Cote nearer to home.
very good food; good prix fixe, as well as menu selection. The vinaigrette on the asparagus was very tasty. This 25 word min on a review will make me avoid giving them in future :)
Not enough vegetarian choice. No vegan option. Compared to prices for meat vegetarian options unimaginative and maybe overpriced. You don't seem to care about no meat eaters.
Staff remembered us from our last visit which was a welcome surprise. Good, busy restaurant. I do think there are too many menus and dishes for the kitchen to cope. Our food was good.
The service was appalling. Knowing that we had booked at 5.45pm which should signal that we were to a concert at The Barbican Centre, the main course took so long we had to remind them twice where it was. It eventually the main courses arrived on very hot plates but the food was either lukewarm or cold. One main course did not arrive. I believe it was never ordered but when it did, it was not quite half cooked. I think someone of senior management should have a good look as how this restaurant is run. I would add that this not the first time it has happened at this particular branch at least three times previously.
Excellent food and service. Very busy with a pre theatre crowd but no problems. It is good to know that standards have not dropped over the last three years
We each had a main from the a la carte menu, my Tuna Nicois was excellent with fresh tuna, griddled to perfection, the Fish Stew was also excellent with a generous amount of fish. Friendly effecient service - it was a quiet day though. Overall super value.
Great place for a work lunch. Very warm ambience, and friendly staff members. Menu is also very delicious. Great for work lunches or post theatre/event dinners.
Excellent food, service and value for money. There aren't many places in central London where you can get a 3 course meal, glass of wine , coffee and service for 2 people for £45 - well done Cote!
Good food, atmosphere and price. The only down side was that service was a little slow, not horrendously bad, but slower that I would have liked as we came out during our lunch hour
Service was ok, could have been more attentive as we were the only ones in the restaurant. Food was good, although my steak fillet was a bit fatty in places.
Nice area. The food is good and quick served. The staff is professionnal, friendly and attentive. We have many choices and the price is in adequacy with the meal.
Cote is usually a reliable pre theatre choice for reasonable food efficiently served. Unfortunately service in this branch declined once the restaurant had filled up.
Food was of usual good standard but very poor service. We ordered a bottle of house red wine waitress brought white wine, the vegetable side dish needed 2 reminders and appeared halfway through meal. We were overcharged and had to remind them twice to give us our change
Always great quality and impeccable service! I would recommend it without hesitations. Mainly when not too busy, they really take care of you! Thank you!
Excellent serrvice! Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Food good. Would have liked a wider selection of beers, as Pelforth do some really good ones. Staff really pleasant.
Excellent food, great service. Good for any occasion. We were in London staying at the Montcalm Brewery and you can virtually fall across the road into this excellent restaurant! We were in town for a celebration the following night and decided to get the festivities started early and pushed the boat out a bit........ Lovely meal!
We enjoyed the pre theatre 3 course meals and found our selections very tasty and delivered quickly. It was the perfect location for our evening performance at the Barbican. Would definitely go back!
Good service. Booked during the day and got seated straight away. Service a little bit slow but good enough. Friendly staff. decent menu and reasonably priced.
Great work meal. The food was excellent and a very reasonable price. The best option is the lunch menu, it gives great value for money.
