While the food is consistently good, as at all Côte restaurants in our experience, the service on this particular occasion was somewhat haphazard. There were five of us and not all of our courses arrived together, which made for some disruption as we found it hard to attract attention from the waiters. Finally, one of the coffee orders was left out altogether and the bill was incorrect.

We chose the two courses pre theatre menu. The salmon and haddock fishcake was lovely and dark moose pot was perfect. The staff were very helpful.

Warm welcome, extremely attentive but not overpowering staff. Food was delicious, very generous portions. Good ambience without being too noisy. Very reasonably priced with lots of choice

All the dishes were tasty; the service was friendly and quick especially to begin with though it did slow down a bit towards the end.

Absolutely brilliant staff. The restaurant was very busy but the staff still had time for a quick hello and friendly chat. Food is typical Cote (which is good!) but the staff make all the difference.

Excellent service and staff were friendly and helpful. Good menu choice, but a good experience was let down by our main courses being barely warm. Hard to understand as we were not waiting for them for a long time. I wonder if the main courses had been called when our starters were served, and left to cool while we were enjoying the starters. Did not complain as we were in a rush to get to a concert.

Good food at reasonable prices and most convenient for the Barbican and LSO. Menus to suit most budgets and very good for a quick meal if pushed for time

Always a good experience, though service a little slow this time. Luckily with old friends and a lot to catch up with so not a problem.

Delicious food and lovely staff made for a great evening. Waiter forgot we had asked for the vegetarian menu, then forgot the olives, but were very apologetic.

Excellent meal. We had the 3-course ‘offer’. Every dish was perfectly cooked and delicious. The portion sizes were well judged. The service was prompt and professional.

Very family-friendly restaurant. We appreciated the wide range of gluten free items which is very unusual to find. Table setting nice. Childrens portions are served too.

It has the feeling of a typical French brassiere even to the uniform of the staff who needless to say are very attentive and knowledgeable. The set menu is excellent value always and the al a carte has interesting dishes.

The main course had very few sauté potatoes, the green veg was a salad leaf which couldn't eat as the stalks get stuck in the throat. So, a bit disappointing.

A different menu from my last visit - even more things I liked! I ordered the roasted vegetables with goats' cheese, followed by chicken with saute potatoes & a delicious sauce (and a crème caramel to end). Excellent food and service.

For anyone attending performances at The Barbican, this restaurant offers an excellent pre-concert menu. Good choice of dishes, reasonably priced. The service is excellent and the staff understand the importance of a timely turnaround for customers attending a performance. Equally as good later in the evening.

Good food and always reasonably priced. The Côte du Rhône red was excellent and the food good. Service at this busy pre-theatre Côte was slow at first but then the food came quickly. Sadly, due to long wait for orders to be taken, we didn’t have time for dessert.

I am a regular visitor to Cote Barbican for both breakfast and dinner and I like it there very much. We went pre theatre this time and it was excellent. Food and atmosphere were brilliant. Why not 6 stars??? I had to ask for the mustard twice, lol. Bit of a first world problem to be fair. Won't put me off going again without hesitation. Make sure you book for pre theatre though as they turn a lot away as its the closest restaurant to The Barbican Silk St entrance.

Food as expected but poor service - was friendly, just slow, inconsistent, and several mistakes - seemed confused/badly managed so staff weren't able to be as effective as they could be (wrong dish, 15 minutes wait to pay bill, wrong sauces) with just 2 courses early evening.

Service is always great here. Very helpful and thoughtful staff. The recommendation for dessert was spot on. My mother enjoyed her dinner of roast duck and gratin potato so much she wants to go back - she lives in Berkshire! Ideal location for something to eat when going to a performance at the Barbican. Coffee could be improved, but that’s probably personal preference.

I booke through a link for an offer ( order anything off the main menu and get a free bottle of wine) this didn’t register with them and I got told quite rudely that I booked incorrectly and I’m lucky they are letting me still have the deal. I wasn’t impressed as I had booked through the link but apart from this hiccup the food was generally very good.

We go to Cote quite a lot in different parts of London. This was our first visit to Barbican Cote. Very impressive: well spaced-out tables, busy but clean, quiet, with excellent service and, of course, superbly cooked.
