Great food, friendly service, nice ambience. They cater particularly well for people with gluten intolerances so would definitely recommend for anyone avoiding gluten. Very good location for Barbican/GSMD visits.

Attentive service but not overdone. Varied and reasonable menu which completely met my needs for a pre-concert meal. Would recommend to visitors or locals as a reasonable and worthwhile restaurant.

The staff were unfailingly polite and friendly and the food was very good and excellent value. The ambience was cheerful and buzzy making it feel like a French brasserie.

The staff were friendly. The pre-theatre menu was very good value for money. One of the best places to dine before concerts/plays at Barbican Centre.

Decent brasserie food and drink. Service ok if a little erratic. Generally way ahead of anywhere else comparable in the area. Shall be happy to return.

Just shows what a difference management makes. Waiting staff tried hard. Four of us ate. Tow starters went back as they were stone cold then the other two people had to send back their mains. Then bill came with a la carte pricing rather than the fixed price menu we'd chosen from. My cappuccino was good Lets down all the other Cotes.

Warm welcome, nice window table, but food not as good as we expect from Cote. Pork confit was dry and only luke warm. Sauce with iced berries not warm enough to give contrast with the berries. Disappointing meal in nice, friendly environment.

Excellent food, excellent service as usual. Thoroughly recommend. We go to this restaurant 2 or 3 times a month as we live in the Barbican. Love it.

Great for after concert dinners. Just get the drinks orders in by 10:30. Good ambience, the food is always of a high and consistent standard, and great for people spotting!

We had a delicious meal - and were welcomed with a kir, as I had said it was a birthday celebration -it was lovely evening, and we were seated in the quiet corner that I had requested. Definitely to be repeated, can't recommend it highly enough as a pre-concert venue!

Good service and good food. What more could you ask for? Perhaps a little more variety in the menu. I have been eating regularly at Cote for several years and I know the main menu off by heart.

We were seated at our favourite table and the food, as always, was excellent. As Barbican Association card holders, we were treated to kir royales on arrival which was very welcome! The staff were very friendly and efficient.

This is an ideal location if going to the Barbican, especially to Cinemas 2 and 3. Always prompt and careful service. And a reasonable price.

The food took a long time to arrive; there was a mix up in the kitchen which the restaurant sorted out proactively without my raising it. So top service - and the food was delicious.

A reliably good meal at a reasonable price served by cheerful staff . Consequently a popular eating place and the noise levels acoustically challenging for an elderly person like myself .

Staff were courteous and helpful. The food was great and the menu was interesting! We had eaten there on one occasion before, by chance and made sure we booked in advance for our return trip to the Barbican Centre. Whenever we visit the Barbican for an evening performance, we will combine it with a snack or meal at Côte Barbican.

Good quality food served very promptly (great for pre-theatre) from the set menu which is very reasonably priced. Highlight was a perfectly poached egg and spinach starter! Only slight criticisms would be the chicken in the salad a little dry and the glass of sauvignon not really cold.

Early lunch before Coriolanus at the Barbican. Enjoyed the the set menu which was excellent. Unfortunately the coffee machine was not working so we left early to grab a coffee at the Barbican before the performance.

My grandson and I had a pre theatre supper in The Cote Brasserie, Barbican. Mine consisted of about 5 'cod' goujons, and my grandson had 2 . Both came with frites and garden peas. The so called cod was very chewy, such as there was inside a simlarly chewy coating of ? With a glass of tap water, a small bottle of sparkling water , a coffee and two scoops of ice cream, I consider this very poor return for nearly£30, When asked to f everything was alright I replied ..'not to my liking' the reply was a shrug.

Nice Restaurant, well laid out seating, not crammed like in so many restaurants, not too busy, service was fiine. Food was fresh and tasty. We had the 3 course set meal, which was good value at £15 a head. Our langoustine tail starter was tasty, perhaps a bit small. My husband enjoyed his steak frites for mains, my mussels were just right and we both had deliciuos deserts. There was enough choice on the set menu. lMy son's kids sausage and mash was well received too (although it would be nice if the kids menu did include a drink and/or desert). I was pleasantly surprised by what is essentially a chain restaurant.

This restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was really nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the service was good. The wine was nice and the dessert was lovely. But sadly the main course really let them down. We had a range of meals including steaks, Beef Bourguignon and a Chicken dish. The portions were a bit small and much of the food was a bit cold. The steak frites was a bit chewy and the char-grilled bits of the chicken were too much so it had a burnt taste. It's a shame because the place seems really nice. We all finished our meals without issue so I can't really complain too much and we will try again another time and hope for a better meal.

Theatre menu represents excellent value for money. Only disappointment was breaded confit pork, both main part of dish (large pieces of fat, not combined with pulled meat) and the accompaniment - lettuce leaves and less than 1 tablespoon of lentils. Both starters (pear and goat's cheese salad, parsnip soup), second main (grilled chicken breast) and shared dessert (creme caramel) very good.

Food was pretty good, though the boudin special starter was a bit light on boudin and pan-fried duck breast a bit too bloody rather than pink. The maitre d apologised for blips in service, but even so.......

Arrived early but they allowed us to be seated earlier than the booked time which was nice. Great service and excellent food served all together which was great so no waiting for the odd meal not being ready. The restaurant was very comfortable and looked very classy internally so we all have a lovely time with a full and varied menu for all tastes. 7 empty plates and happy diners with the three course specials and one on the à la carte section. Would recommend the Barbican location to anyone and very happy to go there again....

Had to give my name twice at the door. Once sat down I was then asked again. I found this rather amateur to say the least. Once at the table I was ignored for 10 minutes until I had to ask to be served. My main was woefully over cooked which was very disappointing. Not the best night out for sure.
