Efficient, friendly service. Food good. Shame that the ‘formule’ price wasn’t applied unless you specifically ordered the items together at the outset. Other than that, really solid. Thanks!
Always good food, plenty of choice, and friendly staff. Not enough sound proofing to merit top marks, especially at the Barbican on Friday evenings. I use Barbican and Teddington mostly.
Not bad but found the main course (Beef Bourguignon) very small and not particularly tender. Service was good though let down by the food which is normally better.
Great table, good food, and happy service, despite being the lunchtime rush. Server didn't remember the sauces i asked for but it was fine. Food was prompt, althought the fries were a bit cold. No real complaints
I had a very lovely time at the restaurant. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful; especially our handsome server Costas ;) Food was equally fantastic
Very helpful and welcoming staff. We enjoyed a pre theatre meal which included an excellent steak frites. Congratulations to the chef! Would definitely return if we attend another performance and would recommend to friends. Good value for money although I would prefer to decide on how much to leave as a tip rather than the automatic addition to the bill.
It was ok, nothing special, but perfectly acceptable for pretheatre visit. Mid price range. Handy for the Barbican. Have had better, would I go again? Not sure.
First glass of wine wasn't cold, second glass was nicely chilled. Rissotto was undercooked. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm. The staff were very attentive and the food served very quickly.
Good venue; good food and wine. Good value. Service just a little slow but very friendly. not much else to say so don't know why you insist on 25 words!
Yet another delicious meal at Cote Barbican. We're Barbican residents so tend to eat there a lot. Fabulous sirloin steak last night, cooked to perfection, made even better by our free bottle of wine for the January promotion! Staff were as friendly & welcoming as usual & we always have the same table which is lovely. Roll on the next time 😊
Lovely food, good wine list - service a bit hit and miss. We were sat near the door - which was quite draughty, lots of people waiting for tables, it felt like sitting in a foyer. Probably why the service was not so good as they couldn't easily see us at first. Overall a very nice meal.
Nice atmosphere, good food, great service! Made sure we were served in plenty of time for our theatre date afterwards. Would definitely go there again!
Delightful as ever. Excellent food as always and the service from the staff too. Unfortunately my husband who had seafood linguine had a bit of a funny tummy during the evening but was fine. Not your fault if there was a dodgy mussel in there!
Very good choice of the set menu. House red wine good choice. Staff friendly and efficient. Overall a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend this Cote to friends.

Seemed short staffed even though it was quiet, took a while to be seated and took a while to get the food. Lovely food and people though just service was slow.
Food was delicious and staff friendly. They do a very nice set menu, but we had a la carte. Not much choice for vegetarian, but for fish lovers there are some excellent choices.
Service very slow and did not receive the free bottle of wine as advertised . Food was fine but mine was cold. My partner said his fish was excellent though
The service was friendly and efficient, with some very good choices on the January special menu. I have joined the loyalty scheme as I am a regular at Cote Barbican and this month was rewarded with a free bottle of wine!
Lovely food and a relaxed atmosphere. A great place for lunch with friends. I'd certainly recommend Cote and the Barbican branch to friends and colleagues.
It was pretty decent food. Some of the items on menu were unavailable, and that was a little bit disappointing. The restaurant was busy, and therefore the service was a little slow.
Although we allowed plenty of time for our meal, we had to wait a long long time for our main course, which didn't arrive until 50 minutes after our arrival at the restaurant, giving us 10 minutes to eat before having to leave - although by the time we paid, we barely made it in time for our concert. The steak was overdone and replaced with a steak that was underdone. My salmon was burnt on top. All in all - a poor and extremely rushed food experience which almost cost us the beginning of our concert.
I had asked for a corner table - and consideration was given to that. The service was extremely courteous and we had an excellent value dinner with the usual dark chocolate pot finale. Best ever. Many thanks.
The Côte formula never fails. Slick, swift, friendly service. A finely honed menu, well cooked and presented. And remarkable value for money. An ideal pre-concert/theatre venue.
Good food and generally good service but I think we had a newbie waiter as one main course didn't arrive. More senior staff handled it well and we weren't charged for the meal which appeared when the rest of us had almost finished
Staff helpful & food was great! The people I was meeting for lunch were running very late (nearly an hour!) but didn't feel pressured at all.
Great venue for per theatre dinner. Portions are on the small side. So easy to manage 3 courses. Friendly staff with good service . Would recommend.
Our favourite restaurant. Lovely staff, lovely food, always have our same table, are always made to feel welcome & all the staff chat to us. Love it here. Thoroughly recommend.
Tasty French dishes approved by my French boyfriend! Efficient service and we always like the water. Atmosphere good with pleasant music but we were tucked away in a corner that was not as romantic as I would have liked for my boyfriends birthday.
Ordered the steak frites. The meat was tough and chewy. The waitress was insistent she get me another one but it was the same. Staff were very good but meat quality poor.
Could not fault our meal. Food excellent, all the staff very efficient and courteous. We were going to the theatre so we were time limited. Everyone made sure we could leave In good time. Many thanks. Wendy Edwards.
Great service, decent, well cooked, hot food for a very reasonable price. So often this is not the case at the many bistro pubs that we frequent when the food is over priced, not very reflective of its fancy descriptions and often cold!
An enjoyable meal at Cote Barbican last Friday evening. Typical French brasserie food efficiently produced and pleasantly served in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Good value too.
Pleasant staff. Perfectly executed rump of lamb... And a brilliant wee starter of goats cheese "Crotton"... with apple nuts croutons and a silky Sauce . Hugely busy for a monday, though...

We had a lovely meal having chosen the duck from the January Specials Menu. As usual the service was excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant.
Great helpful and rapid service pre-theatre, much appreciated at busy time. Always a go-to when at Barbican, decent brasserie food and menu choices at fair prices.
Excellent food and friendly efficient service. We will definitely come again. The pre- theatre menu is varied and interesting. It is well situated for the Barbican.
Food was good. Dining area very nice. Toilets need a bit more attention as there were a dirty. Overall really good but felt slightly rushed by waitress.
Great attentive service Food was hot - not cold, not warm but the right temperature which is most important in the dining experience Thankyou all
We had a pre-theatre meal before going on to the Barbican. The service and the food were very good. I particularly enjoyed the cauliflower soup.
Food was good. Unfortunately during lunch the waitress accidentally spilt beer on my sons suit and tie. Manager agreed to pay for cleaning costs. I have emailed receipts and I am still awaiting a response from the manager and will follow this up. Nice restaurant and food. Felt sorry for the waitress.
A friend and I went to celebrate my birthday. The staff were delightful, obliging and very efficient. The food was very good and the atmosphere was splendid. My friend had to leave suddenly and the response of the staff was very sympathetic and kind.
Great servce from out waiter especially when coffees were forgotten Good food in a great location for the Barbican made even better with the free wine offer
The staff were lovely and couldn't have been more attentive at Cote. My only gripe is the quality of some of the food from the set menu. The soup was delicious but the mushroom risotto, which I did send back, tasted of nothing really other than cream and the texture of the rice was gritty. One of our party had the chicken which was in beadcrumbs but again it was chewy and didn't taste very good. The staff dealt with my returned mushroom risotto very well and removed the set meal from the bill which I was greatful for. It's a shame though that all the food can't be of the same standard. I will go back to Cote again as there were lots of positives.
Very friendly, attentive, efficient service and the usual good quality & tasty food in a very pleasant and comfortable restaurant in a centrally located position.
The staff appeared stretched today as service lacked the attention to detail, maybe its January service. I even had to ask to place a drinks order. The food was quick and tasty.
These restaurants are always good value for money. The waiter was most helpful but not over attentive. We have been to other Cotes many times. This branch is particularly good for pre theatre being so close to the Barbican where the food outlets are almost non existent with no where to sit even for a drink.
Service was great, food was good and wine enjoyable. Especially the lady at the door was very helpful and friendly but so was all other staff. Had the 3 course lunch menu, which is a good deal. Would come again
Excellent specials this month. The service was as usual efficient, friendly and helpful with our main waiter Theodore on top form. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced.
We came here for a very early lunch before going to see Antony and Cleopatra at Barbican at 13:30. Excellent value, brilliant service from friendly efficient staff and good food.
We went to this restaurant with friends for dinner before an event at barbican. Usual good quality food and drinks. The fixed price menu was great value.
