Good. Food is good," clean" not too fussy, but simple fresh ingredients, , and the red wine was very good. Not too noisy as well. The dark chocolate pot is specially good.

Excellent meal and service as always. This chain is great value for really good food and atmosphere. I try to go to their locations at least once a week.

A reliable favourite whenever we're at the Barbican, Cote delivered again for us. I had the Nicoise with a fresh tuna steak, which was delicious. The service is always pleasant, although sometimes a little slow.

The service was good but the food was terrible. I had two courses on the Pre-Theatre menu. The starter was a Pissaladiere which was a pitta-bread like base covered with onions and camembert cheese which was unpleasantly bitter. My main course was a Jerusalem artichoke risotto which was a stodgy, over-salted mess, half of which I left on the plate. Very disappointing.

We got great service and the food was wonderful. Staff were professional and courteous. Steak was excellent and the chocolate pot just perfect. Great coffee too.

It delivers what it promises for the price. Pre - theatre especially good value . Service efficient and friendly. Wine list is not too extensive and offers good value across the range.

Excellent location for Barbican theatre, concert hall and within the cinema complex. Unlike some other restaurants in this chain, it is very spacious, with lots of room between tables. Food was excellent and the service exemplary.

We enjoyed our lovely meal at the Cote during our visit to one of the Barbican events. The service was very good and all staff very polite. The food came promptly and was piping hot. We found the food excellent and great value for money. We would go again.

Very good food and excellent service. My wife and myself had the sea bass with fennel, well seasoned and generous portion. We followed with lemon tart and praline crepe and finished with two cappuccinos

Lovely food. Good service . Only issue was fire alarm went off while we were eating and carried on for about 5/7 mins. Staff told everyone not to worry and stay seated . Was very loud and off putting . Not the staffs fault.

Very convenient to dine before a concert or play at the Barbican Theatre. Service is good and prompt so you can have a relaxed meal to start your evening off to a good note.Set menu is good value and offers a reasonable choice.Would be even better if they changed the dessert choice monthly.I dined there in January and February and the dessert choice was unchanged.

Pre-concert menu was excellent value. Cote is pleasantly quieter than other local alternatives even at busy times. Will definitely book again - it one of few restaurants near Barbican open on Sunday.

We were made welcome at a very busy pre theatre time. One main course was only tepid and we could not wait for that to be put right so our friend had the whole price of her 3 course meal taken off the bill. We were all impressed. Thank you.

I usually book Cote Barbican for a pre-concert lunch or dinner. The ambience is better than in any of the places interior to the Barbican, quite apart from better value. Excellent service on today's visit - prompt but not overly hurried. Perhaps tables were squashed quite close together causing some tricky moves by the waiters.

We visited the restaurant prior to a concert at the Barbican. We chose the pre theatre menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal of smoked salmon on sour dough bread with a caper and creme fraiche dressing followed by venison pie with braised cabbage. For desert we had creme caramel and a chocolate pot. The food was well cooked and arrived promptly. The staff were friendly and helpful. We intend to visit the restaurant again on our next visit to the Barbican.

Arrived a bit late, but that didn't matter. First course arrived very quickly, and the others within reasonable timescales. Food of the usual high standard. My only quibble was that, as I had now accumulated over 1,000 points, and asked for £10 off the bill, no one at the restaurant knew what I was talking about! No one knew anything about the cash back arrangement, thought the matter was referred to several people. I said I'd bring a copy of an e-mail next time!

Regular Cote diner, but first time at the Barbican branch. Very busy restaurant before the performances at the Barbican Theatre, and they found it difficult to cope. Waited over 30 minutes for starter to arrive, Eggs Benedict was ice cold. The main courses and deserts came quicker and were hot. The staff were efficient and pleasant, so will return again

Lovely ambiance and attentive, friendly service. Food is as expected at a Cote. Tasty and simple. My only criticism would be my coq au vin was a bit greasy. The rest of our group enjoyed their meals (fish, beef and childs meal).

I normally like Côte - despite it being a chain; yesterday they seem to have had a night off though. Service very slow, wrong dishes, some of them stone cold & to top it all: errors in the bill. I hope this is not the onset of demise one has seen quite often in other successful similar places..
