Côte Barbican

Very attentive and efficient staff, good range of food, nice wine. We came with our 2 y/o son who had a great time as well.

We have just got home from a very enjoyable meal in the Barbican Cotes. Excellent food and service at a very Affordable price. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in Moorgate/Barbican area you won't be disappointed.

Booked to perfection; excellent service by friendly and expert staff; good food and choice of wines; and all whilst it was cold and raining outside. 10 out of 10, what else? Thank you.

Côte is well located, very friendly, served very good food, and is very good value. It has a buzzy atmosphere spand is generous with tap water which is nicely chilled.

Really good value - very nice swordfish with an excellent salsa. Service OK, nothing special, but overall a good experience. I find Cote to be unpretentious, reliable, with good standards.

Surly service and old stale fish. Left most of my food, no one interested as to why. Guests food seemed ok but goats cheese old

It was a lovely experience there as ever - friendly service and flexible even though they were busy. We had booked but needed to arrive earlier than planned.

Food, service and prices very good - as Barbican residents it is our local restaurant and maintains its high standards. Only criticism is that it is often a noisy dining room.

As it seems a predominately pre-theatre restaurant, we were seated and served quickly. Attentative staff kept us topped up all meal long. The only downside was the risotto was still a bit underdone and firm to the bite.

Great service even though a busy lunchtime. Great selection in the set lunch menu for every course and very good value for money, would highly recommend.

Very pleasant experience at Cote Barbican. Efficient and friendly staff and good food and drink. We were served in plenty of time to walk to our concert at the Silk Street Theatre.

Went here for valentines day and was presented with a set menu which could be bought with wine pairing. Firstly, the Kir Royale, which was the welcome drink, was just champagne... We both ordered the salmon starter, yet only one had dill toppings - and we had to ask for the wine again. For the main course, the food came 25 minutes after the starter and felt like it had been microwaved, ON the plate, with the salad and was still only room temperature. The dessert was good though.

This was my second visit to Côte Barbican. Our party of three all had the pre-theatre menu. The food was very good quality and was excellent value for money, service was very good and helpful. What I really enjoy about this particular restaurant is that it's not too noisy: we had a really good chat and were able to hear each other without any problems. It's not deathly quiet either, just a really good atmosphere. Tables aren't crammed together which means that the restaurant has a very comfortable feel about it.

Consistently tasty food and excellent service. Pre theatre menu is very good value. The ambience is a little noisy but this chain is always a reliable option.

Had fish stew. Consisted mainly of mussels, the shells were large the mussels tiny. Although called a stew there was very little liquid. Fellow diner experience the same. A shame as other dishes within the same party were good

This is a restaurant I use regularly The food was of the usual good standard and we walked very happily through to Cinema 3 at the Barbican.

Usual quick charming but efficient service. The complimentary glass of kir at start of meal was an added bonus and the perfect pre theatre treat for my 86 year old mother and family!

Excellent service, good value, A warm, welcoming venue with an interesting monthly range of specials and a very good value pre-theatre menu. A place to keep on returning to.

Visited yesterday evening pre Barbican concert on one of the coldest evenings this year (Beast from the East). The restaurant remained warm and comfortable as the had deployed heavy curtains to protect the entrance door. It was very busy on account of the concert where many diners were clearly headed. Foodwise, it offered the same menu as the ones in the West End and Chelsea. Regretably, service was somewhat slower than these and we had to forgo both deserts and coffees in order to be in time for our concert; hence the lower than usual score awarded.

On a snowy freezing evening the menu was ideal. We both enjoyed our food, the duck was perfectly cooked and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the coq au vin. The service was very good and a nice ambience.

The food is always good andinteresting. The last time we came, we were in a terrible hurry and the service was great We got to sing in the choir in time after a super meal. It is a great restaurant and i hope you go on thriving.

We enjoyed an excellent meal with fast efficient service on a very cold and snowy evening , with the staff not being bothered by the late arrival of two of the party due to train cancellations.

Great chain restaurant. Always busy but you don't feel rushed. Food is good quality and really great value for money. Staff are polite but friendly.

Food very good as always in Cote. It's good to have a chain when you know it's always reliable. Staff efficient and polite. Toilets were revolting! I think they should really look into this.

Always great food and service for pre concert meals. The staff are friendly and very efficient too. Nice buzzy atmosphere at 6pm ish. Thoroughly recommend.

All in all it was a lovely experience, wiht quick service and friendly, attentive staff. The only small point is that it took quite a while to get the bill.

Food was up to it's usual high standard, the service was prompt but not pushy i.e. just right and while the restaurant was reasonably busy, it wasn't too loud (I hate loud restaurants) and the ambience was good. A very enjoyable meal!

As ever with Côte the food was fantastic value for money, with the mussels being particularly good. Can't fault it on any level - fabulous stuff

As ever - friendly and efficient service, great food including some new items, and lovely buzzy atmosphere! Cote is always my pre-theatre or breakfast "go to" restaurant if there is one in the area.

food always tasty and service friendly, never had a meal here which wasn't nice We like some of the staples like the fish pie and the fish stew as well as the creme caramel so nice to be able to go back for them each time

Usual good reasonably priced fare. Good fixed price menu and plenty of choice from the main menu. Each month there are new specials to choose from too. However, this time I felt that the service was not up to the usual standard and we regularly visit a Cote restaurant either locally or in London.

Pre-concert, great service and value. Recommended for anyone attending event at Barbican Centre. Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla. Is that 25 words?

Excellent as always. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value meals and efficient kitchen. Works like clockwork - necessary when attending a concert at the nearby Barbican. Always go there as so reliable.

Our second visit in five days, because of the quality of the food and pleasant service. Great location for the City and Barbican Centre. We will definitely return soon!

Good value but some meals were cold or only Luke warm. My starter was cold and when I received a replacement this was only Luke warm and the egg not completely cooked. My husbands main course was only Luke warm as well but satisfactory replaced.

Booked for a pre-theatre meal. Swift and efficient service. Lots of menu choices and reasonably priced. Food was good and plentiful. Marked only at 4 as one steak main was not very hot and our seats were very draughty, despite a heavy curtain over the entrance door area.
