Well was there for breakfast and then dinner. Excellent menu choice for both, very good value for money and very efficient staff
The restaurant is buzzing and lively and has a great atmosphere
Great post theatre venue - fab food and great service a real Christmas treat.
Excellent food and service. Good atmosphere. Location ideal for Barbican
Food was great but the waiters got confused who had taken our order and then got one of the drinks wrong.
Good service, friendly staff. Surprised menu had NO veggie options at all. Vary rare today and would stop me coming again with another or a group. Why? king prawn salad thing had too much sauce. Fish stew was OK but lacked flavour. Bean casserole was good but sausage was tough. Overall OK.
Food was excellent . Service was good. Excellent value for money
Very enjoyable evening , food was excellent and the staff were attentive but not intrusive and very pleasant.
The chicken is always a little undercooked and the service haphazard. But we know that from past experience!
Shown to table on time friendly, efficient staff who took orders quickly and helpfully
We were a group having our Christmas lunch and all the staff were extremely kind and accommodating and patient as a couple in our group were late but they coped with everything .Particular thanks to Christian and Eduardo - you were great . Food always good value and arrived promptly , many thanks
Disappointing. After countless enjoyable meals, our dinner at Cote was not up to its usual excellent standard. My main course, the fish parmentier was not hot and there did not appear to be any cheese in it - the sauce was watery and runny compared with my previous experiences. Then the apple crumble was not hot. The service was poor - we had long waits and were continually having to try and get the waiter’s attention.
Friendly staff, good food that was value for money, prompt service. BUT ... I do not like having a voluntary gratuity of 12.5% added to the bill. It means that I have the embarrassment of having to ask for a new bill if I do not want to pay a gratuity or pay a different amount. That has put me off returning.
Good food cheerfully served in a very busy restaurant. Grateful our table wasn't given away as we were half an hour late.
Great food and very good value pre theatre meal offer
We went for the pre theatre menu and were very happy with the choices. Staff were attentive without being intrusive.
Busy but efficient place. Nice staff. Good menu ccc dff
Dined for a pre theatre meal at the Barbican and first time at this Cote. Arrived at 5pm and you would think that we would be able to get through a main, dessert and coffee in 90 minutes, an hour and quarter tops. We eat at other Cotes regularly and so know the process. It took a while for a server to attend for drinks and so long that we placed our food order at the same time. Mains came out quickly but after that we struggled to get the dessert menus then order. By 645pm we had to forego coffee and get the bill to leave. My observation is that they are too busy for the number of servers and the service was well below expectations. We will dine elsewhere next time.
Lovely food as usual. It was quite busy but we were served fairly quickly and we didn't need to rush afterwards to get to the theatre on time.
Great as always. A treat as I live in Kent and came up to Barbican with family.
Up to usual standards and very enjoyable. Excellent service and good food.
Excellent service and great food. Thank you x would recommend
The food was very good and it arrived promptly. However, the waiter was not as courteous as I would have hoped.
Food was fine. Not for the first time in this branch, the service was poor. One member of our party was sent to a different table from the rest of us causing worry on both sides (we didn’t realise we were all in different parts of the restaurant). Mistakes were made (albeit remedied) about gluten free orders. And service was slow. Twice we had to get up and ask our server to come to the table. As I say, not the first time in this restaurant. Management needs to improve.
Consistently good. Great food well priced. Friendly and efficient staff. Good atmosphere. Easy for children, spacious and not too noisy.
Lovely meal and the food, beautifully presented. Service was good although they were extremely busy.
We went here for a staff xmas meal. Service and food were both excellent. Xmas menu was great and good value. Very nice staff too.
Excellent evening with great food and attentive staff. One friend has a gluten allergy and was amazed by your menu. We will definitely be back.
You know what you get at Côte, a well priced, efficiently served package of decently prepared food. I question the 12.5% service charge but that’s the restaurant business!
Food and service excellent. Only problem was the pork tenderloin. There were three of us eating. The pork was stone cold. We sent it back. When it came back it was hot and the price refunded. But it was unfortunately not good to eat- soft spongy consistency. Not like meat at all. Apart from that, everything was superb.
You can always rely on good food and service at Cote, and as usual Cote Barbican did not disappoint. 6 stars! Thank you and Merry Christmas to you all.
Lovely staff, great service, good food. Perfect for family outings as there's a wide range of different dishes.
Friendly staff. Prompt & efficient service well aware that many diners were going to events at the Barbican. Food not bad either!
Good food and good service at the Cote Barbican today.
Tasty food although my friend said his chicken was dry. Friendly efficient service.
Not enough staff; cold due to door and weather; staff inattentive and got numerous things wrong; pork belly and sea bass both overcooked, pork not crispy; creme caramel obviously curdled and still sent out from the kitchen; dirty plates left on table and not removed.
This was a busy evening at Côte but the ribeye steak was nice and rare (as requested) and the Bordeaux wine was perfect with it. Even though it was busy, service was good and I could make a fairly quick getaway. Would always recommend this restaurant. Booking is advisable, especially before a concert or theatre at the Barbican.
Good food, good service although the retaurant was very busy. There was NO background "music" which was a lovely change. Please keep it like that, in fact please remove the loud speakers it makes it so much easier to talk to ones friendsd without having to shout above the racket

Good food and wine, nice work Cote. You are a good chain, offering good value, well cooked food in a good setting. We'll be back!
Oh dear, what a disappointment. We have been loyal regular customers since Cote opened in Whitecross Street some years ago, but things seem to have gone wrong in the last few months. Yesterday our breakfasts were luke-warm, the tomatoes were almost raw, the avocado was difficult to cut (under-ripe), the vegetarian sausage was unpleasant, and my son could not eat his scrambled egg. The only good things were the service and the coffee.
Another delightful visit to Cote at the Barbican. The service is always excellent and the all the staff extremely welcoming and helpful. There is a very good choice of food which is well prepared and presented. Thank you!
Good as usual: excellent breakfast and helpful service and not too busy.
As usual at the Cote, the food was good (if not exceptional) & as always, good value for money. Service was a trifle slow, tho it was a Sat. evening & to be expected. The waiter did try to clear the table before our party had finished eating despite protests.
Your staff were lovely & the venue is beautiful. I’m delighted you have a vegetarian menu with vegan options, even with the wines marked. The only two things that were a little frustrating were that my friends could order from an express menu (we were eating quite early) & there were no vegan options on there. Also that the only vegan sweet was raspberry & lemon sorbet. (Other options looked so much more exciting - an exciting vegan option would be lovely!). “Veganuary” in January I know a lot of restaurants try things out. So I’ll keep an eye out for if you already have something up your sleeve for this! P.s the Nice bread with veg, caramelised onion & tapenade was delicious!
Superb food, wine and service. Thank you, Cote, for maintaining such a high standard. It was annoyingly noisy, but at least the noise was produced by a crowded restaurant enjoying conversation, rather than horrible 'background' music.
Good food at a very good price and great people

Enjoyed the meal, our waiter was very helpful as we had friends arriving at various times and he managed to co-ordinate our various requirements and get us away in time for our concert. Excellent service.
Excellent, service, choices and ambiance, a great location for the theatre too!
Very good for a relatively cheap but tasty lunch. Would recommend for a reliable meal particularly for a work event
Pretty darn good. Just a couple of small points, when asked by me for an "americano" I should have been asked if it was a weak coffee, I wanted or a classic cocktail. Secondly, my mushroom feuiletté and the fries could have been much hotter. On the plus side, the food was tasty, the service excellent, the loos immaculate and the atmosphere warm. So keep up the good work!
