What a friendly restaurant with good food and wine. A very enjoyable evening

Always a pleasure to go to Cote Amersham. Staff polite and efficient, atmosphere good and food mainly very good. My moules were a little disappointing in as much as there were rather too many not open or slightly slimy inside. Sauce delicious however.

Unfortunately there was nothing on the menu that I could eat, so we had to leave and find somewhere else for lunch. I'm vegetarian, but don't eat goats cheese. You used to do various dishes [I especially loved the mushroom crepes], but almost no veggie dishes on the current menu [no vegan, so many of my friends would also be unable to eat here]. Very disappointing!

Excellent as always.Food was superb- the waiter was great , it’s a little bit of France in a time when travelling is not possible!!

In general the experience was very good but the service was slow particularly with our starters. However the staff were apologetic so no problem However I had dinner on Saturday and I must say the overall experience was quite disturbing. The restaurant was packed and the staff were struggling to keep up their usual level of service. The most worrying aspect was that there were two tables near each other one adjacent to ours with two small children on each table. There was no effort by any of the parents to stop the children wandering around from table to table. I thought everyone had to sit down and not move and I wondered if the staff were responsible for enforcing this rule or the parents. Perhaps you should not take bookings in the evening after 7.30pm for families with small children. They may be regarded as low risk but they should not be wandering around.

Thw Amersham kitchen has become desperately slow. The serving staff were very good, helpful and acnkowledged the kitchen problem, but this is a serious problem if you want a reasonably quick lunch. An this happened the last time we visited, a couple of weeks back. No doubt it's Covid related, but it is a real deterrent to coming back

As usual - FIVE STAR! Great service and cuisine. Just like being in France.

Lovely food, but given the current COVID situation, I thought the tables were a little bit too tightly packed in.

Really enjoyed dining out again in our favourite restaurant after a long wait. It was good to see the restaurant busy but with current rules being observed. As it was my wife's birthday we enjoyed 2 Kir Royales on the house! Thank you for a great evening.

Excellent meal Good value as always. The staff were clearly under a lot of pressure and maintained their compose and good humour! Cocktail was delicious.

Excellent meal, good service. Obviously a very popular restaurant. Slight delay between starters and mains coming out which was acknowledged by the waitress who apologised but for us it was just good not to feel rushed so that we could enjoy our food. The food was excellent. Best meal I had had in a while. Looking forward to going back.

Always serve lovely food & pleasant service . The staff were very careful with wiping the tables and chairs after each customer. Very impressed with everything abc will be back soon.

Disappointing. Usually always lovely food and good service. First visit since lock down. Food not as nice as previously and not such generous portions. Slow service and not as attentive.

We come to cote’s often and what we like about everything is the consistency, always lovely food no matter what area I go to I know I’ll l get the same quality. Big thumbs up from us.

FOH understaffed and in some cases undertrained. Willing but floundering. Busy though. Restaurant looks very tired and in need of improvement. Dropped items of food/cutlery not picked up. Vacated tables not cleared and wiped quickly creating a customer waiting queue.

It was very nice - a little drafty where we was sitting . Food was very nice except the belly of pork crackling was jelly instead of crispy. Other than that i would definitely go again

Rather slow service. Good starter and good dessert. Main course lamb rump a bit tasteless and disappointing. Whole meal took two hours.

Hi, Having eaten dozens of times at Cote we ate from the à la carte menu which was probably a mistake! However, the French Onion Soup seemed to be over done with pepper and it had a thickener which was not very nice – felt like it was Bisto! The Beef Bourguignon was uninspiring and not a great taste of beef Overall, one gets the impression that Cote is not up to its usual standard, whether this is temporary or long lasting remains to be seen

We had a great meal last night. The Breton Chicken was delicious, highly recommend. We had minted peas and creamed spinach to go with it and both were cooked to perfection. COVID 19 safety arrangements Seemed very well implemented.

Pleasant surroundings in which to enjoy a delicious meal. The service was prompt but not intrusive and we felt Covid safe.

In these difficult times it was so nice to visit Cote in Amersham for the second time after lockdown and it's our favourite restaurant. Just love going there and never had a poor meal. Keep up the good work and the staff are very professional and welcoming.

Safe, well-spaced, service quick and polite. Much improved on our last dinner visit 18 months ago which was utter bedlam - the staff were totally overwhelmed. Not this time though. We will start coming more often again.

Enjoyed our first visit to Cote in Amersham. Just a little surprised to see staff arriving for work not wearing face coverings as they walked through the restuarant

Nice anniversary meal, made better by the free drink, food is good but service was a bit rushed. Wines are on the expensive side for what they are. Always worth a visit if you can be seated in the rear section.
