Food ok but service very poor - 45 minute wait for order to be taken! Waiter spent his time chatting to colleagues, no apology offerred . We left no tip!

Lovely meal we all had something different. My fillet steak was perfectly cooked. Good service, lively without being too noisy but £10 for a glass of wine?!

There was a mix up with my order so my meal came 15 minutes after those of my friends. The food was lovely though and very well cooked.

My daughter and I visited on a Wednesday evening with two friends. Very friendly attentive waitress and nice food. Two vegetarians - who had a couple of dishes to chose from. Lovely relaxed informal evening.

The booking on line was easy. The welcome and table in requested quiet area was good. The chicken liver pate starter and lamb rump were very tasty. Some choices of main course were only meat and therefore the price appeared lower as vegetable sides were essential. Otherwise we enjoyed the good quality food and experience. The service was very good

Lovely restaurant, excellent service and a very good lunch for Parents, sister and myself. The parking is difficult outside but there is a car park nearby.

As usual we were seated promptly and the meal was very good. My only slight criticism was the delay between courses. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.

Great staff food was good. Only one fault. 4 gins found on bill that should have been complementary. We nearly paid £27 extra bit naughty

Main dish which we both had, risotto from the lunch menu, was stodgy and tasteless, very disappointing. Smothering it with parmesan helped a little! Staff etc were as good as usual but not used to leaving most of a course when I go there.

Lovely food and setting. Very attentive and friendly staff. Had a really lovely meal with friends and would recommend. Good selection of dishes and wines too!

We had a really excellent meal and a first class bottle of wine in a very pleasant restaurant with great service. Top marks all round!

We enjoyed the starter and dessert. The portion of the mains were small and not as good as the other courses. One of our mains was Roast Seabass. The skin was not crisp and had a few bones too. We were disappointed with the whole dish.

As usual - pleasant and efficient staff. Great menu and wine choices and good food. Altogether an enjoyable dining experience. Comfortable decor but can get a noisy at times when busy.

It was very busy and they omitted to add avocado to our salad. They more than made up for it when the waitress, not long after we alerted them, turned up with a little plate of avocado each for the three who had ordered the item. We have always had excellent, friendly customer service at this restaurant.

Great tasty food and warm friendly service ! Certainly we will go there again, atmosphere was great and we booked on line which was no problem.

Lovely atmosphere. Good waiting staff. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Excellent choice of dishes (especially for gluten-free). The only thing i didn't enjoy was the free g & t - far too sickly sweet. I can't complain too much about that though:-)

The restaurant was not busy, we were greeted warmly and offered a choice of tables. We were served promptly and our order arrived without too much delay. Our food was exactly as ordered and to a good standard.; an enjoyable meal.

Zero service. Sent steak back as it came out well done when I asked for medium. New steak brought out - inedible, terrible quality and for £18 that’s just not good enough

We are regulars at Côte. This week we were served very promptly with our starters from the set menu but 50 minutes went by and we had to ask for our main courses to be hurried. They were very dry and looked like they had been forgotten on a hot plate. I was asked to leave my email address but after 2 days have not been contacted.

The food, ambience and service were all great, we had a lovely enjoyable evening. Cote Amersham never disappoints and we would recommend to anyone. It is also very reasonably priced.

A really excellent meal! Service was fine & prompt - my Vichyssoise was the best I've ever had, although it should have been served chilled rather than cold !!

This is a very busy and. rightly, successful restaurant that fits well into Old Amersham. One consequence of the peak=time popularity is that meals can be leisurely, with a pause between starters and mains. If you're in a rush this might be unwelcome but for most people it won't matter.

Staff as great as usual, sadly fish pie had to go back as not heated through. Otherwise a good experience, which will be repeated soon!

Welcome and service very good. Menu choice good but chicken rather dry and yellow The ‘butter dressing cold and uninteresting’. The fish was more attractive and tasty. Also VERY NOISY!

Friendly welcome. Helpful staff who went out of their way to accommodate our table request. Well paced timely service. Server was attentive but not intrusive. Good food enjoyed by all. Choice across the two set menus more than adequately suited our large party. We have been regular visitors to Côte since it opened in Amersham, albeit they seemed to suffer a blip in their usual standards in both food and service earlier this summer but it is good to see that they are back to good form again. A very enjoyable lunch and no doubt we will be back again soon!

We have been to Cote many times but it is always reliable with good food and very pleasant and professional service. It was busy on our visit but no long waits for anything and a very pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely tasting food and good service but the food was not hot enough. Feedback was give and accepted but there is a serious problem with the restaurant if you cannot present the food at a reasonable temperature.

plus points: Menu had a good selection, and food was excellent. Really enjoyed the vichy soisse. The service quite good, though it was a busy time, and every table was full. minus points: Tables very close together; feels a bit crowded. Ceiling is very low, and the noise level was quite oppressive. Big relief when the room began to empty.

This restaurant visit was fine. Everything ran smoothly nice table & good food. We like the wine selection. Some things we wanted were off the menu but v happy overall.

The staff were particularly efficient and attentive. They noted that there were bones in my sea bream and adjusted the bill accordingly. Neither my husband nor I raised a complaint so the bill at the end came as a very pleasant surprise. We will certainly return to this particular restaurant.

Wide choice of good value luncheon menus. Three out of a party of four enjoyed their choice. Unfortunately one of the party had a chewy, and only half edible steak but when mentioned to staff, they were apologetic and without hesitation, the meal was deleted from the bill. Staff were friendly, polite and the whole dining experience was good. Definitely a restaurant to return to.

Staff very good and helpful. Food good but could be better a little bland if I’m honest. Wine very good. Ambiance lively and fun for a lunch time as it should be.

We had the most delicious breakfast, excellent value and the staff and service excellent. Always a good atmosphere however busy they are. Looking forward to our next visit.

Very enjoyable lunch with friends, we were attended by friendly staff and although we were advised that they were a member a staff down we received a great service. Looking forward to coming again soon.

A great place to meet friends, plus tasty 'french' food served in sensible portions. In the heart of Old Amersham. Get there early the large car park fills up quickly.

The part of the restaurant we sat was rather noisy probably due to the low ceiling. The meal and the service however were excellent and we would go back again and ask to sit somewhere else.

Excellent food and service. Tuna delicious. Always add something different to the menu so it doesn't become monotonous. Normally go on our own but took guests this time and they enjoyed it

We thoroughly enjoyed the gin cocktail, and the 3 course standard set menu was excellent. Initial service was a little slow, but after that was very good.

I had a lovely meal, but was mis-charged for the offer I had booked for, but rectified immediately, so well done. I'm not quite sure why the toilet seats don't fit and one is falling off, but otherwise a nice experience.

Good service, lovely restaurant with a great position in the Old Town of Amersham. First time in about 100 visits to various Cote restaurants I had cause to complain about the food, The sauce which accompanied the chicken breast was really salty and made the chicken inedible, the starter of calamari was really greasy and tasteless.

Good quality food and excellent service. We had lot of dietary requests, all of which were accommodated with ease. Window seat provided as requested. All in all very pleasant experience.

Great food and service, as always. G&T special was really nice and the pork belly was excellent. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended and excellent value.

Slow service, forgot about our order for vegetable sides. Unfortunately low ceilings and layout means that noise is amplified from the other tables making conversation difficult

We had an early evening reservation on Friday. Nice atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and the food was very good We would certainly meet up and eat there again

The restaurant is local to us and we have visited on a number of occasions. The menu is varied and provides a wide choice. On this visit, however, my wife chose a main course which was not to her liking. She had asked for her duck to be well cooked, but it was too pink for her. The staff were very understanding and, to our surprise and delight, arranged for the cost to be deleted from our bill. We will be visiting again!

Lovely, stylish restaurant with great front of house staff, delicious well presented food and beautiful wines. Good atmosphere and very attentive maitre d. We’d definitely return. And reccomend.

Delicious food. Great choice. Entire gluten free menu so meant person with gluten allergy felt cared for rather than being a nuisance! Friendly and efficient staff.
