Côte Amersham

Fantastic! I booked for my friends 40th birthday and the staff could not be more helpful kind and attentive! They helped set up the table provided candles for a cake and made the whole occasion really special! The food was beautiful!

I eat at Cote Amersham fairly frequently and it never disappoints. Service is attentive and not obtrusive and food is always of a high standard.

Camilla, the lovely young lady serving us was absolutely fabulous!! Camilla presented the GF roulade cake/pud beautifully. Lovely restaurant. All staff so lovely and helpful. Food very good. Loved the chicken liver parfait starter. Look forward to our next visit. Kind regards Dawn PURNELL.

Cote is one of my favourite restaurants! It’s a welcoming place and the staff are knowledgable. I particularly like the fact that the menu isn’t overwhelmingly long.

The staff were friendly and efficient; We had a delightful table right by the window which was exactly what we had asked for when we booked; Altogether a very pleasant experience to be repeated soon

Excellent service, quality of the food and value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back soon to taste a different menu or a la carte.

We like this Cote in Old Amersham and visit asa family quite often. Always friendly and a good service. However one of our main courses arrived and it was not what we had ordered. The waiter realised he had made a mistake or as he called it Boo Boo ! Which did make us all laugh and he offered us the correct meal but this was to take a further 20 minutes We decided to keep the meal that had been brought to us so we could all eat together. The waiter did knock off the starter and and the main course and some drinks off the final bill The waiter was very apologetic and embarrassed to save his blushes we still left a tip and all was well between us

Usual good food in Cote, although we only went for Coffee and cake. Marginally longer wait for service but not unduly so. Not too noisy which it can be sometimes.

As always, delicious food and cheerful waiting staff. Because it is so popular noise levels can at times make conversation at the table difficult but the overall experience is of an enjoyable and sociable evening out,

Great food, had Prestige menu which was very reasonably priced, friendly staff, will be back.

Staff were great, particularly the manager on staff over lunch. Food was good quality.

Lunch with a group of friends at our favourite table at the front of the restaurant where it is quieter and with a member of our party hard of hearing it is easier to hear the conversation. Food good and staff pleasant as always

Our lunch here is always excellent , good choice on the menu with different prices on the fixed menus plus a la Carte choice. Staff very helpful and efficient service.

Have been overcharged the last Four times now at Amersham, always about the same amount of money £6/8 . Staff don’t seem at all surprised when this is pointed out. We always visit this restaurant when down at our sons, who lives nearby. We hope somebody in authority reads this, as we are sure there is SCAM going on. Food was tasty, however service was substandard and beer prices were extortionate. At just under £4 for a 27.5cl bottle I could get a beer for cheaper in London, disgusting.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and menu choices.

Had a great evening, food was lovely and the staff were attentive. The lighting was a little bright for a Saturday evening/night the mood could have been more atmospheric.

Very poor service - 15 mins gap between main courses and then we walked out in the end due to staff arguing on the table next to us. Constant swearing and shouting and one girl ended up crying. Very awkward with us being there. We’ve been regular customers in the past and won’t be back.

We were charged for expensive wine that we did not order and the deposit we paid was not taken off the bill. The food was not great and you get charged 15% gratuity which I think is disgusting you should only tip when you think the service is good which it wasn’t last night.

Good food, service and atmosphere, would really recommend it to others

Booked a couple of weeks before Friday 14 th Feb ,confirmed the day before ......and at no time until we went to place our food order were we told it was only the valentines menu on offer. Luckily The vegetarian menu was on offer ( seemed strange after being told only the valentines menu was on offer) which was fortunate as 2 of our party are vegetarians. Then got charged for a desert we never had ( as it was on the valentines menu - only a 3 course menu, not the normal choice of 2 or 3 courses. Lesson learned....don’t go on Valentine’s Day .Dissapointing

Usual good service with food of a good quality. Always a pleasure to dine here though it can get a little noisy and sometimes if full, service can be a little slower. Overall I always enjoy visiting.

Welcoming reception, unhurried but attentive service. Well cooked delicious food which was value for money even though we didn't choose one of the set menus (which are exceptional value). Tasty wine and cocktail.

My only criticism this time was that my husband had the steak frittes which was overcooked and tough. Everything else was perfect.

Our experience was fantastic. We had 50 guests attending dinner, and all were equally impressed with the service received. Artur was fab before the event, and throughout. We worked together from a spreadsheet to ensure each guest had the correct food item, and the entire evening was executed seamlessly. Very happy we chose Cote for our dinner, and we would definitely consider booking here again for a large group. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone - the food was amazing too!

We were very pleased that we chose Cote for our family group of 10. The seating layout is just right for a group of that size. Cote will be our future choice for such events and we will also visit for a lunch as a couple.
