I have been to this restaurant many times and the food, service and atmospheres are always first rate.

Great meal as usual. I had the little gem with bacon and egg salad and then the steak frittes with ice cream and sorbet to follow. My husband had the vichyssoise hot soup and also the steak frittes with the cream caramel to follow. Staff and service were excellent.

FOOD WAS GOOD - NEW STAFF ON LEARNING CURVE E.G PLATES CLEARED FROM TWO PEOPLE WHILST OTHER TWO PEOPLE WERE STILL EATING WELL SPOTTED BY MANAGER WHO WILL NO DOUBT RDUCATE!

Really enjoyable experience. Food was good, unpretentious bistro fare with spot on portion sizes. Staff were friendly and attentive when required. Good atmosphere, busy, but with enough space between tables to not feel claustrophobic. Enjoyable meal.

Standard Cote formula although here there is a 'better' set menu (with choice) as well as the normal albeit slightly cut down usual set menu (with choice). The 'prix/qualite' remains excellent and is to be strongly recommended. Service is more a question of luck though and can be quite slow.

Friendly welcome and very good value meal (the pre-7pm fixed menu). Staff attentive and atmosphere becoming lively. The window table is the best for some quiet!

Big fans of Cote but yesterday our first disappointment. Not up to usual standard. Asked for bread.....it didn’t arrive, ordered some green beans with our mains......eventually got them almost as I had finished! Meal saved from ‘disaster’ by delicious Creme caramel. Hopefully, next time it will be back to excellent level.

Another very nice meal at Cote. First class service, from efficient and friendly staff. Have eaten here before and would recommend it and will be choosing Amersham Cote again.

I felt the standard of service wasn't as good as it has been i.e. took a long time between courses to get the food and the main course wasn't particularly hot when eventually it came.

I was greeted on arrival and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We were taken to our table and were given very good service all the way through our evening. Both our meals were delicious and we will definitely go back.

Good quality food, great service and excellent value for money. It was our first time there but will definitely not be the last. Highly recommended.

On a busy Tuesday evening we were greated warmly as soon as we walked through the door, given menu and wine list. Our order was taken quickly by a very efficient waitress and a good bottle of wine arrived with our starters. There was a short wait for mains which were both excellent, one a steak, the other a veal escalope. Both were cooked perfectly The cheese and pudding which followed were fine A great evening

The staff were helpful and efficient and the food was delicious. My friend and I throughly enjoyed our lunch and Cote and will certainly come again.

Good service and ambience. Set Lunch Menus reasonably priced and provide good variety or alternatively they have a comprehensive A La Carte menu. Would recommend for business or leisure

Will definitely return. We went for the fixed price early evening option and were not under pressure to leave the restaurant. The food was delicious and served by very pleasant staff.

Lovely waiting staff. Not so impressed with the food. Moules were absolutely tiny , medium rare steak a tad overdone maybe? Dessert the chocolate mousse was lush.

My risotto had too much pepper in it and the rice was crunchy. Otherwise the venue is nice, the service very good. Other food was fine

Attentive and professional staff and a fabulous Sunday supper. I can recommend the fish stew which was generous and came with rustic bread for soaking up all of the delicious juices! Will definitely go again .

Long, leisurely lunch with friends. Lovely food, attentive staff- stayed all afternoon in to early evening- and at no time were we made to feel we should be leaving.

Had lunch at Cote with a friend who had never been before and we both really enjoyed the whole experience. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

A very welcoming restaurant, with a cheerful atmosphere and excellent staff. Food is great, with a monthly - changed specials menu in addition to a fine list 'every day'. Prices are light for decent food. Overall a really pleasant dining experience. Would recommend and will definitely revisit.

Excellent gluten free menu .food good and service excellent and didn't have to wait long for service or food staff really friendly but efficient always.

As always this is a great restaurant with good food good staff and good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially at lunch time.

Good reliable Cote. Slightly over enthusiastic waiters who interrupted stories being told at the table several times! Nice and well meaning but need to gauge when to interrupt guests to ask how things are?!

We have been here before and all the staff as always very friendly, we had breakfast and it was lovely. Will be going there again.

Lovely meal as always. Sat at the front of the Amersham restaurant as it can get very noisy in the back section. Good portions and very tasty.

Helpful staff! Lovely mains. Version of bread and butter pudding disappointing! Dry and lacked fruit. Other dessert chosen was crepe which was good! Overall a good experience.

Excellent meal and excellent service. Parking is a bit of a pain unless you are lucky. However the walk from the nearest car park is worth it !

Middle-aged ladies go out to dinner. We were seated in what seemed to be "middle-aged ladies alcove" with 2 other large groups of women which was ok but, unfortunately, that meant the decibel levels were higher than our hearing capabilities. The lighting was flatteringly dim but also meant the menus were difficult to read. The food was a bit of a lottery - some dishes were great, some not so - particular the "frozen fruit and chocolate sauce". Although obviously there was a clue in the title, we didn't expect it to be still frozen berries with cold chocolate sauce poured over it. Bit of a shock. Anyway, the majority of us enjoyed our meals and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Suggestion for dimly lit restaurants and those catering for us older customers - go to the Pound shop and buy a whole range of reading glasses - put them in a basket for people to borrow. Suggestion made due to my friend forgetting her glasses. While I read the options out to her the waitress said she'd bring us some glasses. On seeing the grateful look on my friend's face, it was a real shame to explain the waitress had meant for drinking.

Staff really welcoming on entry, always polite and accommodating. We always have the Full English, never fails to please us and with coffee and a juice and toast all for under £11, really value for money. We have been visiting this restaurant for around 6 weeks now and we are hooked, our No. 1 Breakfast venue.

The restaurant is very good, wonderful food but there is just not enough staff. We had to wait ages for our main courses and the bill. Really enjoy it And the food is good just the service let’s it down as it’s slow!

The food was good but the chips and veg altho tasty were not as hot as I would lhave liked . The staff and service were very good.
