Staff, food, ambiance, comfort, all brilliant, refurb adds to comfort.

Food absolutely delicious. Waiter, absolutely delicious. Overall, a wee bit chilly in the restaurant and could do without the background music. It wasn't loud but just irritating chatter. Would I return with friends? Of course I would.

As usual, we had a very nice meal and we were looked after very well by Karolina.

Excellent menu, food cooked to perfection . The offer of bottle of wine is excellent. We choose the red wine which was very good. Service excellent and were particularly pleased that we got the table we wanted having booked on line. This is still the best Cotes.

Simply the best meal I have had for a very long time. Beautifully prepared tender guinea fowl with exquisite flavour. Vegetables cooked to perfection. A regular haunt of ours with a great friendly atmosphere. Can’t wait for a return visit.

Great restaurant . We’re regulars. Great value, great staff, consistently good food. I’ve never been disappointed. Dined there last night . Everything spot on . I made bad choice : had January special .... ballotine of guinea hen. Not one of their regular menu items. Tasted underdone and not particularly appetising . But that’s the very first time I’ve been disappointed there since it opened. My unfortunate choice. Will continue to go there.

I am always very happy with the quality of the food and service. The lunchtime menus are very good value. The acoustics are a bit too loud, maybe due to the low ceilings.

Food was excellent and so was the service.However,I've been there before and I sort of expected it.The thing that impressed me was the quality of the free wine we got through an email offer.One expects an ok,but not top of the range freebee.This was different.The wine was so good,that we took pictures on our phones so that we know to order it next time,when we'll be paying for it.Thank you very much Cote and employees for the enjoyable evening

Lovely as always. Free wine offer & early evening 2 course menu made it excellent value for money. Food was amazing, Parsnip soup, Haddock Goujons & Chicken with Sarladaise Potatoes absolutely delicious.

I've been to Cote many times and the food and service is always excellent. I suppose I often go there because I know I can depend on value for money meal and friendly service. Always a good experience!

Love the renovations to what is a fabulous café bistro. Loin lamb chops with minted peas was delicious and the service, as always, was excellent.

Really like the seating here, although it did see an inordinate wait for 2 children’s ice. CReam scoops at the end. Otherwise great.

We were pleased that my request for supportive seating for my husband, who is disabled, was taken into account. Our booth was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The food was excellent, but we were disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm or engagement with diners by Cote waiters when the new year arrived. It is only hearing the waiters celebrating the start of the new year, that we realised midnight had passed. They seemed more interested in celebrating amongst themselves. Earlier in the evening, a waiter told us that staff and customers celebrated the beginning of the new year together with a glass of champagne and would we like to do this. We thought this was a lovely idea and ordered two glasses of champagne. He served the champagne before midnight, and that was the last we saw of him. No member of staff visited our table to wish us a happy new year. There was no 'count down' to midnight. Indeed we were unaware that the new year had started until we saw staff celebrating. In fact we overheard diners at a nearby table voicing similar comments. I believe this may have prompted the manager to visit their table but not ours, which we found quite rude. My advice to Cote management is: a cheerful and celebratory attitude to diners at new year by staff is an important part of the new year dining experience.

Brilliant food. Unbearably noisy environment making it impossible to have conversation, particularly if hard of hearing. Carpet might help.

Love food and staff. Came midnight.... nothing. We had to check our clock to see it was 12. Zero atmosphere to see New Year in. Shame as have been seeing in the New Year here for 4 years now. New Year, time for a change
