Main course served whilst eating starter. A tad over facing! It would have been nice to have had a five minute break between courses. The restaurant was busy and felt like we were being pushed out. Food was great as always.
Excellent food at a reasonable price. Great starters and killer creme brûlée. It’s a must to book a table on Rugby days as they get very very busy.
Very helpful with our one-year-old and great service. Delicious food too, of course. We weren't rushed out either, enjoying a leisurely breakfast over a couple of hours
The restaurant was busy but, having booked, we were seated promptly. Food and drinks order taken and delivered promptly. We ordered an extra side of green beans but spinach was delivered instead and because that was incorrect, the staff gave it to us as a complimentary side, which was a bonus, and the beans followed shortly thereafter. The spinach side was delicious!
The food was good - exceptional value for money. The service was excellent - friendly and efficient. All in all, very enjoyable and highly recommended.
Good value, set menu, service drops when it gets busy, also service charge is now already included on bill, which I believe is new and does not encourage good service, as most English people would sooner die than ask for service charge to be removed!
One of our regular haunts it is a comfortable restaurant with consistently good food. The staff as always polite and helpful. It is very nice to have a complimentary bottle of wine.
Very helpful manager - as I have an allergy to garlic checked what I could or couldn’t Staff helpful and friendly Enjoyable meal- many thanks
Food, service, excellent as usual. Mothers and push chairs in abundance but generally sit at rear of restaurant which is why I always book a table at front. However, on this occasion, a young child was allowed to run around the restaurant, including behind the bar, all afternoon shrieking with joy. Neither his mother or your staff seemed to mind - quiet diners did!
Cote in Richmond is far superior to the other surrounding branches. Their food is of a consistently good quality, the staff are friendly and there’s a great vibe. Their lunch and early evening menu is superb. Expect to book as this really is the place to be.
We had a really enjoyable lunch and the service was very good, the food was not as hot as usual but still enjoyable. Thank you
Over good service. The 3 course lunch special is great value. There was a sort of ‘fly’ in our area of the restaurant, which seemed strange given the time of year. Pleasant waiter. Very good meal.
Fantastic, recommend highly. Food quality excellent and staff well trained and always on hand. Consistent quality and fair prices. Family friendly also. Good wines too
I’m a loyal customer but on this occasion, there were several shortcomings. Chicken was dry, chocolate fondant was stodgy, and there were several problems with the wine (errors and unavailability).
Wherever we go we always try to eat at Cote. They never let you down. The food is great French at an affordable price. Richmond is our local branch and is superb, always welcoming!
The food was great, but service was disappointing. We always come to Richmond Cote and this time there was a rude half-shaved green hair waitress. She ruined the whole experience of dining there.
Great welcome, really sweet guy. Excellent service and very good food. We had a very enjoyable evening. And it was good value. Highly recommend this Cote!
Very pleasant staff. Our waiter from Lithuania was a real pleasure to deal with. Great food and efficient service. I Thoroughly recommend Cote in Richmond
We have loved Cote since it first opened in Richmond. It is somewhere we eat most when eating in Richmond. While still very good, on this occasion we felt standards had slipped a bit. The staff were not as attentive as usual, and my steak was tough and oversalted. They did offer to change it, but by that time we were halfway through our main course and I couldn't have eaten another steak. The two ladies with me both had excellent food which they thoroughly enjoyed. I am sure we will visit Cote again soon.
We were 4 ladies. A warm welcome from staff, excellent menus offered. Our choices were delicious. Lovely evening. Thanks to all of Cote's attentive staff. A most enjoyable evening.
Cote in Richmond always seem to supply good food and service at a reasonable cost. Very helpful and cheerful staff who, although very busy, are always attentive. Patrick Doyle
Absolutely fabulous.... superb food .. friendly efficient staff .. reasonably priced ..., nothing too much trouble . Having dined two evenings in sequence .. the whole expensive was repeated beautifully. Claudia very sweet.
Tonight was a joint Birthday celebration and the evening at COTE BRASSERIE Richmond was fabulous! The venue, ambience, background music and of course the excellent cuisine was enhanced by the friendly, professional and attentive service from several members of staff. Brilliant all round! Thank you so much and congratulations to all at COTE BRASSERIE Richmond.
Despite being very full service was timely and courteous. Food was even above usual high standards and the specials were superb. A regular haunt and you can understand why.
We booked a table for 8.00pm and were eventually given a table at 8.45pm! Quite a few other customers were obviously having the same experience. We were given a complimentary Kir Royal while we were waiting and they deducted the cost of one of our two bottles of wine from the bill. But we did nearly walk out and, because of the delay and the fact that we were hungry, we skipped having a starter. The food, when we finally received it, was excellent. I just can't help thinking that they are being far too 'greedy' in trying to squeeze in too many customers and it may well backfire on them.
Overall we had thoroughly pleasant evening. The restaurant was very busy, yet the staff were very attentive. There was a slight lack of coordination in who was doing what when different servers asked us the same questions and there was a hint of being rushed into choosing our courses. The food was presented to the wrong table initially but was served to us after an apology by the server. Our food was quite delicious, hot and presented well. Because we were sitting close to the bar and staff area near the till, the boisterous noise from the staff was a little bit intrusive. However, the general atmosphere was jolly, the food good value and portion size adequate.
A very good lunch, and super service from our waitress. Only criticism is that it is very noisy in the restaurant, but probably not much you can do about that.!
We got there just before 7 so got the set menu which was excellent value. The food and wine was very good and the staff friendly and efficient. The manager of the Richmond restaurant was particularly helpful and welcoming.
Service was a little slow today but the food was as good as ever. I enjoyed the ratatouille starter and the chicken breast main from the lunch menu.
I had steak frites and it was all way too salty! so much so that I couldn’t finish my steak! I complained and didn’t have to pay for my coffee, which was a poor compensation for such a disappointment!
Prompt and courteous service, although towards the end of the meal, service became erratic and we had to repeat requests for coffee - very good value on the set early evening menus; only downside was the level of noise. Lots of families with young children around us. The hard surfaces make for quite a din!
Great dinner at Core Richmond . Delicious freshly cooked food to please 2 kids and 2 adults . We will be back very soon !
Excellent food and service. Cote Richmond is in a great position, only yards from the Bridge and Thames towpath. Richmond bus station is only a couple of hundred yards behind the restaurant. It is also only a short walk from Richmond Theater and railway station.
Good food and good wine at reasonable prices. Staff very helpful. I was glad we had booked for Saturday evening, as lots of people were being turned away because it was so busy.
Very friendly staff and we were given the table we requested unlike a previous visit where the staff were not so amenable despite the table we would have liked being free. Good meal, although far too much nutmeg and sauce in the creamed spinach. I would have expected the skin on the char grilled chicken to be crispy not flabby but the chicken itself was beautifully moist. Would definitely return
Delightful staff. Very good service. Food as usual good value. Slightly noisy from many babies but suppose good place for mothers and babies to dine as they made very welcome.
The food and service were perfect . An ideal place to visit after the cinema, we all enjoyed it immensely. Also reasonably priced. Lady Wright
An evening supper in Cote is always enjoyable thanks to excellent service and food - you know what to expect and it is consistently delivered every time.
Love the Cote, we tried the onion soup as a starter and it was absolutely delicious. Then the duck with potato gratin which was amazing and for pudding I had the crepe which again exceeded my expectations! The spinach we had for the table was a bit disappointing as well as the tomato salad. But it didn't ruin our experience.
Good value quality food and friendly staff with nice ambiance so ticks all the boxes The early evening menu is very good value and the house wine is very quaffable!
Food up to their usual standard and a varied choice on the set menu. What let them down on this occasion was the appearance of a man with step ladder to change a light bulb in the ceiling right next to our table - especiallly when the ladder hadn’t been assembled correctly and the man almost fell off! There’s a time and place for everything. The restaurant wasn’t plunged into darkness - there were another 7 bulbs in that small area - could have been left until the restaurant was closed.
Very helpful and engaging staff member. Though some delay in being served, manager attended all tables where a man was seated clearing plates, checking meals out organising additional coffee, our table and another table completely overlooked although he was right by us, had to ask another staff menu to order.
Sorry, not my best meal at the Restaurant; our (3 of us had them) Fillet Steaks were not good. This is first time I've ever had to complain about Cote food; check out your Butcher.
Delicious as always! I'd highly recommend the Crab to start and rib eye steak for main. Service was excellent - it always is. Thank you!
The food was very good & the service was excellent. The staff agreed to change our table at my request as we were placed near to a service door so sometimes chilly.
Good service food first rate first time visit for a friend was full of praise will visit again he is going to Southampton over the weekend so hopes to go if a Cote in Southampton
As always a great meal at Cote. Attentive and helpful service and a busy restaurant. Plenty to choose from off the menu for all 3 (or just 2) courses
Excellent medium priced restaurants. Cote maintains a high standard with its food in all restaurants in the chain. They also employ charming, efficient friendly staff. Well done Cote!
I had an altogether enjoyable lunch with my family as usual. We had the set menu which is always a good bet.my grandson thought the pate wasn’t as good as usual, but on the whole we were happy - the service is always fine and the waitresses were very attentive
We went here after going to the cinema. Very good food (we had starters and mains) and the service was efficient and friendly. Will certainly go again.
