Excellent attentive staff, good value food and drink in good venue
Service poor indifferent - we both had steak frites with salad , had to ask for salad which was part of meal / asked for bread as starter - didn’t come ! although waitress had asked us if wanted bread and or olives . Also said they would bring steak knives - eventually came . But food was good .
We had a splendid meal at Richmond before going to the theatre. We had been sat at the back of the very full restaurant by the door to kitchen and toilets. The rear door to the outside was often opened by the Deliveroo motor cyclists and the cold where we were sitting was great. Anna a manager moved us to another table when we made her aware of the problem although the restaurant was very full. She did this with calm and tact. We very much appreciated her efforts. Well done Anna. Thanks
Enjoyed our meal & service from Emily prior to going to the cinema. The Creme Caramel is fabulous.
We arrived at 6:15, slightly late for our 6pm booking. Got a table upstairs next to the dirty plate stacking area, which was pretty noisy with crashing plates/cutlery etc. We asked to move and were shown to a nice table downstairs. Our starters arrived but unfortunately our mains never did! We had to leave as we had cinema tickets (1hr15 after we arrived). In fairness the staff and the manager were lovely hence the 2 stars and we were given our drinks and starters for free. The food we had was very good as was the atmosphere, shame about the slightly chaotic service.
We love your restaurant, the food, ambience and staff. However today the meal was disappointing. We had mushroom risotto and it was stodgy and pretty tasteless. Also we ordered sourdough toast with our soup, and this only arrived with the main course. This was all most unusual, as we dine at Cote at least once a week, and are nearly always impressed.
Enjoyable, good value lunch with great food and attentive service
Always a good experiences. Thank you Ana for your lovely reception. You have made it very special to us.
Everything was lovely as ever. Thank you for excellent food and good value.
Went for the early evening menu of 2 courses for £9.95. Excellent value for money & choice on the menu. Would definitely recommend & go again.
Good value set menu for lunch. Very pleasant staff. Will more than likely return.
Very welcoming, friendly staff.Excellent Menu to choose from.Although busy, service was excellent.
Lovely parsnip soup - perfect for a chilly day - followed by an excellent cottage pie. Thank you for continued good food and polite service.
Took ages for starter to arrive and had to send the squid was cold and beer was warm and main couse was very very slow and 2 out of 4meals has been sitting in the kitcheb and had been warmed up looking and the skin on the sause on those 2. My minute steak & frites was excellent.
Booking, easy. Greeting, warm. Food , tasty. Service, professional. All round success New Year’s Day family meal.
Selected lamb chops and guinea hen from the Sunday specials - generous enough but both heavily over salted. The croutons with the lamb were like cardboard and the dish needed some form of potato as the ‘salad’ was mainly peas. The tartine starter was a little basic and underwhelming but reasonably flavoursome. The maitre d’ took note of our comments well enough but we expected perhaps a tea or coffee on the house as a gesture of recognition which I am sure we’d have got at our local branch. Despite a generous offer of a free bottle of Merlot the bill came in at £56 which with wine would have been £80. A bit pricey for a fixed menu chain and certainly more pricey than Bills across the road. The staff were as usual very good so it’s a shame the food let us down this time round. And the draught from the constantly open shut front door doesn’t help if you have a table at the front - maybe think about a double door from the street - there is space. Overall not bad but we’ll probably stick to our local branch in Chiswick.
Lovely breakfast, attentive staff and a quiet restaurant, my colleagues all said we should do this more often. I can not fault the Cote breakfast experience. Thank you.
Great food and service. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Nice greeting and service. Food was lovely. Choice has meant we are coming back. The complimentary wine was really lovely. A merlot
As usual a very good standard of food and service
This was the first times we had been to Cotes in Richmond. I asked for a quiet table and was pleased to be given a table on the upstairs tables which were quiet and roomy. We had the early set menu offer which was excellent value and excellent choice of food and drinks. Our dinner was very good and the service received from the female waiter excellent. Highly recommend and will be back
Excellent meal and great service. January menu offered Guinea fowl which was excellent and the Steak frites, whilst simple was certainly very tasty.
Friendly professional staff, good ambience and central position. Food was enjoyable and a bit different from the norm.
lovely new years eve 3 course menu, excellent sea bass and fillet steak
Excellent Chateaubriand at Cote Richmond on a glorious summer's day.
Food and wine were as perfect as the company! Lovely atmosphere to enjoy the meal and catchup with friends.
New Years Eve - great food (as always) reasonably priced - and unlike 2 years ago, not overbooked. We did wait a little long for plates to be cleared away - I think they need another front of house staff member when full. Staff all looked a bit too tired, and seemed too busy.
Another great Cote Restaurant! Really lovely lunch with efficient service by pleasant staff. ( Despite being very busy!) Thank you.
Everthing was amazing.Foods were very delicious. Service and atmosphere were fantastic.
Unfortunately the table next to us had a dispute which we could hear which was not pleasant for anyone. It meant our waitress forgot some of our order and some of our food was cold, however this is one of our favourite restaurants and this is not the norm, we usually have great service.
Never disappoints. A beautifully cooked fillet steak. Staff are professional, smart and friendly.
The assistant manager was very efficient , good value for a group
On a theatre day at lunchtime this branch is always very busy/noisy!
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The order was mixed up and one plate (salmon) was undercooked and had to be sent back. The problem was sorted out without any fuss and the dish was taken off the bill.
Food was wonderful! Much much better than you would expect from a chain! Really good.
Cote always provides a good meal at low prices. We went at a busy time on Christmas Eve but the staff kept up their standards.
Lunch spoiled by over cooked meat and rowdy kitchen staff sitting in the restaurant while we were finishing our meal.
Had a real nice Christmas eve diner. Very friendly smooth service. 3 courses for 3 people, excellent value. Will be back!
I have had better experiences at other locations. The food wasn't to the best that I remember it being and we had to wait 30 minutes for our main meal. It was only 5:00pm and not very busy thus I wouldn't have expected it to take that long.
The first time I’ve had breakfast at Cote Richmond and it did not disappoint. Once again a delicious meal, hot and tasty and plenty of food - very good value for money. As always the staff were so good - friendly, helpful and a delight to talk to.
Our table was next to the waiter/service area, so noisy with their bustle and service rather that customer buzz. Not the table to have had! Also our waitress was not on the ball; not like the usual Cote service; we felt we had been forgotten at one stage.
We had a really enjoyable evening, sitting in a booth, 5 of us ordered from various set menus and a la carte. Excellent service, delicious food and very good value for money.
Consistent for food & service. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the upper level as it was quieter and less crowded
Delicious fail safe food, great menu and friendly efficient service
Excellent meal, simple to book on the web site, staff were polite and attentive and the Meal was excellent. The menu had some particularly interesting offerings and the wine list, whilst compact was certainly varied. Overall an enjoyable and very pleasant evening.
I was meeting a friend for her birthday - greeted by friendly staff, the food and the service were all excellent as always. Thank you so much.
The second family Christmas 🎄 celebrations - that Cote Richmond has professionally organised for me. Yet again, the warm and Efficient staff made our evening utterly delightful and full of Christmas cheer. The evening ran smoothly and the food was delicious as always. We all had the fine selection of different choices on the set menue and our lovely waitress’ added the extra particular choices that were requested - effortlessly and with a warm smile! Definitely, an experience that many restaurants have sadly lost, but Cote goes above and beyond in providing. Exceptional - thank you all - a very Merry Christmas too!
Sadly a couple of the dishes fell short of the usual high standard of food.
Great food, Super friendly staff. We certainly recommend this restaurant.
Fast good service and food very well presented and tasty at reasonable prices
