Sam the manager has the best customer service of any restaurant I have been to! He will always make you feel welcome , check your food is ok etc.... he makes sure his staff afford the same service . Nothing is too much trouble for Sam and always has a welcome smile for all!! Thank you very much . You can see why it's always packed !
The food was delicious and the presentation of the dishes beautiful. The service was great as usual. We love coming to Cote, it's always enjoyable.
An excellent lunch menu, good food and a reasonable price. Cote always have very good waiting staff, it’s our favourite chain. Easy to book and always efficient.
Excellent greet, attentive service. Slight mess up when my wife asked for NO raw onions and a large portion arrived. So l had to eat it. She got extra peppers instead. Beef Bourgogne first rate, pain perdu was not pain perdu (old bread soaked in whisked egg and shallow fried in butter with nutmeg/cinnamon on top); instead it was a pleasant bread and butter pudding. We will come again. PS V pleasant bottle of white wine on the house (l didn't know it was my birthday). Ta
Fabulous experience as always! Great service and food! The staff are always very welcoming and ready to help in any situation. Very satisfied Cote customers.
As usual great food good service and friendly atmosphere. This restaurant also values its regular customers with birthday treats and special offers. I would highly recommend the chain to anybody.
Overall we had a very nice time. The negatives are that it was extremely hot. There was no fresh air coming in,no windows open ( and we were upstairs ) so rather uncomfortable.
Food good as ever but some patchy service. Not sure why it took several minutes for someone to greet us on arrival - standing around not great for my elderly mother. Then a few minor things - wasn’t asked about sauces when food arrived and had to ask twice to get them and the bill took a while too. Our waitress was great even if a bit rushed, but some of the other staff were disdainful. Shame but you can’t rely on the quality of the food alone.
Great food yet long waiting time but this is undertandable as everything is freshly made. Polite staff but again you have to wait really long for the bill. Service charge should be at the discretion of customer and not included in the bill.
Very good food. Good service. Excellent value ( early evening menu). Would recommend it to anyone heading off to the theatre. Best to book as even on a Monday at 5.45,it was very busy.
Great meal and ambience, taken into consideration price and that it is a chain. Good service, even if it is unforgivable to serve Champagne in a red wine glass ;)
Everything as it should be, venue, food and service. Sadly the favourite creme caramel was off the menu, but replacement was tasty & no charge. Would return if in the area.
Excellent food and service at a very busy time. Atmosphere was buzzy and a bit loud at times but no problem! Crab was delicious as was the chicken, starting with a Kir Royale, what's not to like!
Lovely food although very salty. Good service after a slow start. Child-friendly but could do with a child menu that includes a dessert and drink like many other restaurants.
Food was excellent as usual. Very busy and noisy as it was the pre-theatre slot, so it is advisable to book a table . Good experience
Our meals were delicious! The customer service was wonderful. The only thing that wasn’t so good was a cold draft in the area where we sat.
We always enjoy Cote. The food is reliable and consistent (last night's duck was superb) and usually served hot. (However, if you ask for boiled potatoes, they are never very hot – perhaps left in a dish where they get cold.) The service is also friendly and efficient. My only serious gripe is the noise level, particularly in Richmond. It is almost impossible to have a conversation and this will make me think twice before returning. It is so simple to resolve this problem but restaurants seem unwilling to take any remedial action.
As a 'regular' at Cote, this venue continues to enhance its reputation. The food is always good and value for money. The menu is varied and caters for a range of peoples taste.
Very good food tonight service was good even throu very busy could have maybe done with one extra member of staff maybe doing the drinks it save time.
Great service, Boeuf Bourguignon a feast, a free bottle of lovely French Merlot and the usual excellent Creme Caramel. All for under £40 including service. Perfect.
The food, as usual, was superb. Moderately priced bistro-style menu with a decent wine list. The manager was very accommodating of my wife’s needs( she has a few allergies and Lots of fussiness ). It’s near our house so very happy to be a regular.
Vote is always a great option for a delicious and well-priced meal
Good quality food in pleasant surroundings. Unobtrusive, friendly service. A fairly extensive menu and wine list at reasonable prices. Particularly good value if you are a member of their rewards scheme. Ideal for a pre-theatre meal.
Food is always good at Côte but the service was terrible. Lots of staff talking to one another and not serving customers. Would expect much more.
we are regular diners at cote, usually at guildford which we find very good, our experience at richmond was equal to that at guilford, the food was excellent and the service superb. congratulations to the manager and in particular to the little rumanian waitress who was helpful, funny, efficient and attractive
Always reliable, great food. We are ever disappointed with the standard of Cote. They were busy but we were out in plenty of time to get to the theatre.
Great early evening menu, delicious food and good service. Obviously popular, but the down side of this is that it tends to get cramped and noisy.
Great venue, great location, great service, great food, good value. A great choice for pre theatre goers. We will certainly be back soon for sure.
Food very good, Noisy and very busy. Overall would go again. Cote rewarda appear to have been abandoned and replaced with something of which I have no understanding.
Once again delicious food and excellent service. There is nothing more which can be said, except perhaps that the dishes which I ordered contained too many eggs.
Good food, but too noisy. Standard and fine Cote dining, but the table for 4 was small and we had to shout to hear each other - so was everyone else I guess!
Despite not getting food ordered - manager was very quick to provide resolution. 10/10 for customer service - training for wait staff as to the menu !
In our experience the food has been consistently good at this restaurant and the staff have been welcoming, attentive and friendly. Prices are comparable with other restaurants of this nature, on this visit we took advantage of a promotion and got a free bottle of wine which was more than acceptable
Like most other tables in the restaurant, we had booked a meal before going to the theatre. The staff worked hard, with a smile, to ensure everyone had their meals in good time.
Good service and friendly reception - food good enhanced by the free bottle of wine! Will definitely go again soon - incentives From time to time good.
Delicious food, excellent service, very reasonable prices. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great french food and wine. And treat yourselves to the creamed spinach!
A lovely place for a pre-theatre lunch or dinner. Fantastic selection of options to please every diner and often some great specials. Book ahead as often busy.
The whole sole was cooked to perfection, the Berjerac Sauvignon blanc delicious, the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient, and the ambience was very pleasant.
Great place, great food, great service. Not all Cote's are the same but the restaurant in Richmond is the best I've been to. Definitely recommend.
Always high quality food and friendly staff. The restaurant is well placed in the high street and easy to get too. The menu covers all tastes
We all very much enjoyed both the food and the excellent service. The complimentary bottle of delicious white wine was an added bonus. Very much looking forward to my next visit.
Buzzy atmosphere .Service quick and efficient . Staff realised a lot of customers were in a hurry as it was pre Theatre . Food and value for money good as usual .
Always enjoyable, and excellent service. We, my wife, self and our daughter, thoroughly enjoyed our joint (self and daughter Amanda) Birthday Dinner, Amanda on 29th., and mine on 30th. The complementary cocktail was a great way to start. Bill Higgins
I ate the specials, moules en cidre and delicious crispy duck with a rich sauce. Wonderful food, and very affordable. Love the restaurant and very friendly staff.
Arrived late as movie was longer than expected 😐. Maitre de dealt with the situation with excellent humour especially as restaurant was extremely busy. I walk with a ( very nice) stick and M .D . Rustled up a chair for me. He is an exemplar of somehow doing his job .
Great as ever so thank you. Food and ambience is always great as is the service. We look forward to returning for another visit. Cheers.
Restaurant was very busy on arrival and staff seemed under pressure coping with the numbers so service was a bit less polished than usual with it taking longer to order. However once the order was taken, the food followed within the expected time span and was of the usual standard .
Friendly, efficient and lovely food. It was quite empty at 5pm as we were going to the theatre later but when we left it was full, so advice to book. Cote never disappoints.
The restaurant was nice, the food was delicious. The waiting staff seemed pressurised when the restaurant got busy, perhaps one more member of staff would have eased the pressure. We had a very nice time as always at a Cote restaurant.
An excellent experience: delicious, food that's high quality yet markedly good value. Excellent service. Two of our party selected duck for the main course; this ran out before we were served. We switched to steak (natural choice of meat if duck unavailable). This option was more expensive (we'd have paid for it), and yet a £30 gratuity was deducted from the bill. The manager (and team) were extremely impressive and ensured we had an excellent time. I highly recommend Côte restaurants in general, and this particular branch is extremely good.
