Very impressed with the way both Manager and staff coped with a most stressful lunchtime and thanks for illuminated chocolate fondant and ice cream treat for my grandsons birthday. Excellent food as always, look forward to our next visit. Margaret Houghton

We always enjoy our visit to the Liverpool Restaurant, and will continue eating there. However, I was a little disappointed with the amount of salt on the main course. Edible but a very obvious salty taste.

Food was as good as usual but the service was very poor. It took 2 hours for 2 courses.

The three stars were entirely due to the quality of food. Having been many times over the years we love this spot and make dining here a feature part of our visits. Today we were SO disappointed, being unlike any other visit we’ve made. The service was incredibly slow and frustrating with dining taking well over 2.5 hours which considering we just had french soup for 4 and then only 3 of us had main meals, one a salad. The taking of orders was slow and another customer also had to come in from dining outside which her opening comments were “our waiter seemed to have disappeared we’ve been waiting for our bill for so long”. Furthermore, the staff seemed to be under a lot of tension with some audible words exchanged demonstrating some degree of drama, this may have proved a distraction and hence why service was slower than usual? I don’t ever write comments or take the time to feedback however on this occasion, I wanted to convey my disappointment. Thank you for reading.

Lovely food and although very busy on a Saturday night, service was quick and efficient, a credit to all the staff.

Excellent friendly staff and superb food

The food was great and William was a delightful waiter.

My friends and I have been going to Cote since it first opened. We are always made to feel welcome as soon as we walk through the door. The food is delicious, the service excellent and the staff are outstanding. The wine is pretty good too!

We had a table booked for 7.00 pm and hoped to enjoy an aperitif before our meal sitting outside but unfortunately after 15 minutes after no service, we gave up and went inside. It seems that they were understaffed.

Lovely Bistro shame about the long delay to serve the main course. Staff were excellent and the food when finally served to our table was most enjoyable. Iona deserves a special thanks for being the perfect staff member, smart and polite .

Disappointed choice on lunch menu main course. Very poor service waited far too long for food.

Went to Cote Liverpool last night. Brilliant! Always book if you want to go there, as they have to keep turning people away.

Lovely staff, food and service. We booked last minute for 8 people and it was great, thank you.

Very dark, noisy room. Music was too loud, it was lowered after we requested. Most of our party struggled to hear each other with the combination of a big group next to us, poor sound proofing and the music. Air con fan kept blasting in our faces. Waiters constantly brushing past us with trays, washing up bowls, food etc to climb the 2 flights of stairs to the kitchen. We wish we had requested to sit outside as it was perfect weather. Disjointed service., very slow to coordinate our order. Waitress accommodated us very readily from 5 to 7 covers. She kindly put a candle on the Elton mess, added 2 scoops of sorbet to make it into an amusing birthday treat, which was great. My pate was bland, my pork loin was overcooked and dry. The Eton mess/Pavlova was uninteresting, very little fruit and was disappointing. They had run out of gaspacho, Breton chicken and lamb from the summer menu and it was only early evening. This restaurant bears little resemblance to the 2 others I have eaten in (Bristol, Bishop's Storford). I shall not return.

We celebrated our daughters graduation at Cote Brasserie-Liverpool 17th July 2019. Lovely, comfortable restaurant. Friendly, hard working, professional staff. Beautiful tasty food! Wide choice of food/drink on the menus! Lovely champagne! Great location! We really enjoyed our evening here celebrating with the family. We would highly recommend eating/drinking here! Thank you

Excellent food & service Waiting staff attentive but non intrusive

Very nice meal. FANTASTIC staff working under EXTREME pressure. Lots going on in Liverpool to-day e.g. Cruise ships, University Graduations, sporting occasion - Netball - to name but three. The staff were rushed off their feet, busiest ever, but still remained charming and helpful as always. We are very happy regulars at Cote Liverpool.
