Côte Liverpool

The food and the restaurant, were good as to be expected. I have one major problem, however, the piped music was far too loud. I intended to take my wife out for a quiet meal for her birthday, not eat in a disco. The louder the music, the louder all of the other customers are as they try to talk to each other over the sound of the music. I do not know how anybody hard of hearing would have coped. Come to think of it why is there piped music in a restaurant anyway? Even elevators stopped piped music years ago.

Food up to normal high standard. Good lively atmosphere, excellent service

Restaurant lovely with great atmosphere. We had the 2 course set menu and enjoyed the food. The only thing stopping me giving 6 stars is that the pudding my friend wanted was no longer available and she didn’t like any of the others on the set menu. She asked the waitress if it was possible to have a pudding off the main menu in place of the one that was no longer available as otherwise she would do without one. This wasn’t possible which we found very inflexible so she had to do without her 2nd course. She was given a coffee instead...not quite the same!

Slow service. Toast was hardly toasted! Tea was awful Squashed us into the smallest tablet and my husband is not a small man! Disappointed this time sorry

Excellent food and usual friendly and efficient service to meet your personal needs. This restaurant remains head and shoulders above any other I visit. They deserve all awards going.

As ever, excellent food, friendly, helpful staff and a great ambience. My friend and I ordered from the Prestige Set Menu . The french onion soup we both ate for a starter was delicious and loaded with cheese. She then had sea bass, which came with mussels and I had pork tenderloin, both beautifully cooked and flavoured. We finished off with creme caramel and coupe noire (vanilla ice-cream with warm dark chocolate); really lovely. We had a bottle of house red, which was Syrah; a delicious, fruity wine I could happily drink anytime. We spent 2 and a half hours in the restaurant. I have eaten there several times and never felt crowded or rushed, no matter how busy it is. I would recommend Cote to anybody; amazing value for brilliant food.

Great food well cooked. Service and greeting excellent. Good range of choices covering many price ranges. Pleasant staff. Fairly quiet atmosphere. We were given a table in a less noisy area as we requested. Have dined here many times and shall continue to do so. Highly recommended .

Another lovely meal as always at Cotes - my only grumble is that there is not much space from the kitchen past the tables for the waiters to navigate large trays of food. Twice we thought my uncle was going to get some one else’s dinner on his head as they tried to squeeze past our table... Luckily, no such thing but it made for a rather unsettling dinner for me and my aunt, watching it happen behind him....
