A hidden gem of a restaurant. We had a wonderful night with great food and drink catching up!
Loved the atmosphere and the Tempranillo. The starters were very morish and although the lamb was tender it was a little bit on the fatty side for me, but that's just a preference. Great location right on my doorstep. We'll be back!
Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, who took on board minor criticisms. Quirky but comfortable furniture. Handy location for walking/public transport, less so for cars.
The food here is a welcome change from all of the Italian restaurants around northcote road. Just something a bit different
Lovely meal & service. A very good 3 course set menu price. It was an added bonus to have a guitarist playing as we ate.
Lovely food, great atmosphere, friendly service. Definitely my favourite restaurant on batteries rise. I was even allowed a side portion of Duck croquettes which made my evening
Good food with an acoustic guitar playing in the background, great Saturday lunch. We had the set menu again which is always great value, we will be returning again.
The ingredients were locally sourced, many from Cornwall. Whilst there were no pasties on the menu, my ox cheeks were superb. My dining companions were Cornish, and approved.
Buzzy. Staff attentive. Missed a side dish but quickly remedied. Slightly overpriced, too New World wine list. We will return nevertheless. Very good cabbage (Side dishes are a good test of a restaurant): attractively presented starters, and sensibly proportioned helpings. Chef didn't resort to the cheap trick of oversalting: the food retained its own flavours
Fabulous and very attentive service. Food was just okay- wasn't super flavoursome- tajine was quite bland, good brulee though. overall good value for their set menu.
The food was delicious and unique and the service was quick and attentive. Also very well priced for the set menu. Will definitely go again!
The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. The set menu is very good value for money! It is one of my favourite restaurants in the area!
Delicious food and really thoughtful and cheerful service. An excellent vegetarian 'Wellington' and the smoked fish starter with beetroot jam would tempt even haters of beetroot. The house wine was satisfactory.
Delicious food, reasonably priced wine and really lovely staff. A yummy menu - was very hard to choose what to have! We had a wonderful evening. Will definitely return.
The food was delightful. Best roast in the area. Even the sorbet pudding had clearly had a lot of effort put into it. The service was efficient and made us feel at ease. Will definitely be recommending to friends and visiting again!
A little bit style over substance. A bit disappointing. Nice idea and good ingredients but didn't quite deliver. Limited enthusiasm or enjoyment from the front of house staff.
Average food, average service. Overpriced for what you get. Really can't understand how it's so highly acclaimed on TripAdvisor, though that's subjectiveness for you I guess.
Great food, excellent service, well recommended, tried the set menu and was not disappointed, soup was delicious followed by fish stew which was very tasty.
Great service and lovely food, will definitely be back. The honeycomb desert was delicious and portion sizes were good, not too big, not too small
Great food highly recommend the salmon. Good choice of wine and great ambience. Ideal for a relaxed evening with girlfriends or a romantic date. A hidden gem in Clapham.
Great food and lovely atmosphere. I had the soft shell crab to start. It was excellent. The pollock was perfectly cooked and delicious. My best pudding ever was the rice pudding with pear. You have to try it.
The halloumi starter on a Friday is different to the halloumi starter on a Thursday apparently.. And by different I mean on my previous visit I had three pieces of Halloumi in my starter and upon this evening I had only one !
Lovely setting, good roast, very accommodating, friendly staff A shame people queue for hours to go to the breakfast club next door, where the food is distinctly average, while ignoring this little gem next door
Excellent food and not too large portions. My only niggle was the traffic noise as we dined outside. Nothing they can do about that !
Nice food ,cousy atmosphere and the price it was pretty descent aswell , I have really enjoyed my evening there and looking forward to my next visit .
Great food and charming helpful service , as we have all come to expect . The atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly but so professional . Highly recommended .
I'm not sure what all the fuss was about with this place! The roasts were very nice - meat was faultless. But the service was slow, the starter was disgusting, dessert was cold - and we were given coasters to use as plates because our "table was too small" to have normal plates. Delightful.
Tasty, well cooked and carefully presented dishes . Goes beyond the typical bistrot menu with some good fish - the smoked fish was a good choice matched with some zingy sauces . A welcome addition - will return. Service with a smile too .
Excellent value for a delicious set menu. Great wine selection. Friendly service. I took my mother who was visiting and she loved it. We'd recommend Cornish Tiger!
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Excellent service and very nice food and wine. Like the overall restaurant concept of Cornish sourced food. Have been here a number of times and never been disappointed.
Overall a nice restaurant, with a pleasant vibe but they didn't have the cote de boeuf (said they only stock 4, which is fair enough I suppose) which was a shame as it was what we wanted and had already ordered a bottle of wine to go with it. Also, they mark up a service charge of 12.5% which the staff don't see any of (confirmed by our waitress), which I think is disgusting. So if you go take off the service charge and leave a tip!
Great fresh food - service a bit slow initially, but that was rectified quickly when the waitress realised that we hadn't been given menus. I would definitely recommend.
I found the food overpriced for what it was. I won't be going back. I had the roast lamb. The lamb was okay but the roast potatoes were very oily. The veg was okay. Had the chicken wing's as a starter. I've had tastier wings in Kentucky.
Very nice restaurant, food was very tasty. Portions too small though. Roast lamb and beef really lovely. Not keen on choice of desserts, only one ordered the cheesecake which was 'deconstructed'!! Would not recommend it (the cheesecake ). Staff were lovely and attentive, endless supply of water was excellent.
Excellent atmosphere and fantastic food. We have been many times to the Cornish Tiger and enjoyed it every time. All the staff are excellent and the food is delicious.
Very attentive waitresses. Perhaps a bit too attentive as i just wanted to talk to my friend and they kept coming to top up either water or wine. Food was nice but expensive and wine was over priced. We had mozzarella starter with side order rather than main. It was very enjoyable with lovely crunchy hazlenut "relish" and rocket leaves.
Top quality food prepared with care to perfection and the chef will cater for allergies with no hassle. The staff is friendly and welcoming as always.
Very efficient and welcoming staff. The menu is not extensive, but the food is excellent. There are wines recommended with each item on the menu.
Had another lovely evening here. Good food and wine. the only negative is that the price of a glass of wine is a little expensive.
Great food and friendly service. Salmon cooked perfectly, real attention given to veggies which always is a good sign in my books, and generous portions.
Great - good value and excellent service. Food was very good. Good location handy for a stroll afterwards on the common. Will definitely return. J
Another wonderful meal, with delicious fresh fish and perfectly cooked duck with salad (a little crispy, but also meaty!). Beautiful presentation and attentive, friendly staff - do go as you will not be disappointed!
Excellent service. Very friendly, accommodating, and full of good recommendations. Food was excellent, and although the portions are on the smaller side, the flavours were well thought out. The Portuguese wine was superb. We will definitely come back.
Really good food and excellent staff. I felt it was very well priced for the menu and wonderful Malbec on the wine list. Will definitely go back!
Restaurant was very friendly, the food was very tasty and well priced - we didn't have dessert but if we did i am sure it would have been pushed up to a 6 rating!
Great service and lovely food! The sea bream was one of the best that I have had and a great value set menu to boot!!
Delicious meal, and wonderful staff - super attentive and very accomodating (we were in a rush and one of our group was late!) - you must visit if in the area!
Fabulous food and service, made even better by Prosecco Tuesdays! Lovely ambience in the front restaurant area. Will definitely be returning for the chocolate fondant dessert.
The Cornish tiger had Great food at a very reasonable price (2 courses for £10). Service good too. Nice atmosphere and perfect spot by the common
The service was great and the food was lovely - except the tart which was served with the duck. There was a great atmosphere and I'd definitely visit again.
