Delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere - a lovely evening! The set menu is great value too. Lovely staff, and great drink deals to top it off.
V good food as always. Enjoyable evening. It is a little noisy in the front of the restaurant but if you ask they can normally put you in the back.
Enjoyed every minute from the time i walked in and out! The meal was superb. The staff friendly and attentive. All in all class A! thank you
Fantastic food and friendly service. Have eaten here many times and it has always been a great experience. They also cater well for big groups.
Really great little place. Food was very well presented and of a high standard. Could have done with a little more atmosphere but it was a Wednesday night. 2 courses, wine and tip for under £50 for high quality. would go back.
Really enjoyed the set menu before 7pm for 9.95 - very good value for money!! The house wines were also very nice. Staff were really attentive, but not too much so. Had a really lovely evening! Would definitely go back.
This restaurant ticked all the boxes for my husband and I- cosy atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service and convenient location. We would highly recommend this restaurant for an intimate dinner.
Great meal & evening at Cornish Tiger. They were very accommodating as we were an hour late (babysitter crisis). -1 dessert portion size is very small
Our main dish with meat were delicious,, very nice customer service. The vegetarian dish was as impressive but still good. Very recommend restaurant , I will definitely come back!
Lovely atmosphere - the restaurant was full and very buzzy. The food was good and the service was attentive. Highly recommended, I can't wait to go back.
A really charming place. Great food, excellent service and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We stayed for about 4 hours and at no point were we rushed or coerced into ordering more food or drinks. We had a couple of bottles of delicious, properly chilled white wine and an excellent dessert sherry. The chilli sweetcorn fritters were really tasty and well presented. Our roasts were huge and cooked to perfection, with plenty of extras and veg that was spot on. Great value too, coming in at £50 a head including service. Very well worth it, we will be going back!
Really good food. Very nice and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Good value for money. Would recommend for small group. Went there with some old friends and had a great time.
Very cool restaurant. Great vibe and yummy food. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is willing to pay a little extra for a really good meal.
The food is excellent and the set menu is an absolute bargain! This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning for more!
Great food and atmosphere and brilliant service. The menu had a good selection, something for everyone. It did get rather loud in the back room which wasn't a problem for me but understand that it might be for some (but it was a Friday night with lots of big tables).
Fantastic food especially good on fish, lovely comfortable and relaxed surroundings and great service. Shame we were tool full to try their great choice of desserts
Excellent Sunday roast with amazing meat. Lovely decoration and excellent service. The homemade desserts were good (we recommend their panacotta, close to perfect) Only downside, they dont have cider!
Really lovely food, good quality. Service was friendly and the whole atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Child friendly with a good choice of Sunday lunch kids menus. I would definitely go back
Another fantastic evening at Cornish Tiger - probably my 6th or 7th visit and this place is consistently good. Great menu options and quality of ingredients is excellent. My only suggestion for improvement would be a better selection of wines under the £25 mark
Excellent fresh food and very helpful service. The lunch was delicious and attractively presented. Prices were very competetive and the drinks menu, though short, is good quality.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and staff are friendly and welcoming. Not cheap but worth the price. Only complaint is that it would be nice of they varied their menu a bit more- have had the same desserts for over a year and I have tried them all and although delicious something new would be nice!
As always - a total treat. I took my two godparents who are quite particular - and they LOVED it. I had the fish pate to start followed by chicken tagine. Both were absolutely delicious. Apparently the quiche and pork belly were just as good. Have booked to go for Sunday lunch next weekend!
Delicious creative food. Lovely setting. Great service. Have booked to return already! Really impressed and looking forward to many more meals there. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent food, good service and house wine perfectly acceptable. Only marred by the noise levels caused by 2 Christmas parties but not the restaurant's fault. Also no fixed menu but perhaps that too was down to Christmas season.
We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at Cornish Tiger. One of the best Sunday roasts I have had in London and the desserts were delicious too (especially the chocolate fondant and the ice cream). I definitely recommend it and I will be going back!
Meal was tasty, but mains were a bit small. Service was good. The wine was nice- It was called Bogle, and it was a Californian Petite Syrah 🍷☺️ xxx
A lovely, relaxed restaurant with a good range of menu options and attentive service. The food was generally good (lentils with butternut squash, spiced yogurt and pumpkin seeds were light and tasty) although not exceptional (celeriac and apple soup was bland). That said, the set menu is very good value for money. A visit is recommended.
Nice staff and setting, but food really wasn't very tasty. I had a crab starter which frankly tasted just odd! The descriptions of the food don't match up to the reality unfortunately.
The food was really excellent -everything tasted fresh. The menu had a good choice of dishes, and the service was good. The set menu is exceptional value. We will definitely go again.
Great corn fritters , nice atmosphere. Lovely bottle of Italian wine. Roast ok bf had chicken I think better than my beef. Great wine bar opposite.
Delicious food: we went for the set-menu available before 7pm and it was great value. Starter: a very fresh and light salmon mousse, and also a hearty rabbit & chicken pastilla. For main: we both chose the pork belly which was cooked to perfection with amazing spices. For pudding: chocolate mousse with ginger shortbread. The place has a lovely atmosphere, with attentive but not overly intrusive service. Will definitely return.
Really lovely food and very pleasant service. On a Saturday night the restaurant was buzzy and fun. A great find for a relaxed evening out.
Cute little restaurant. Good service. Nice wine although not much choice at entry level. Food was very good and innovative. Didn't like the sofa with dining table concept especially if you're not that tall. My mum had to sit on 2 cushions to prop herself up. I think the designers need to 'use' their furniture to see if it's practical. Otherwise a lovely evening.
The experience has been overall very good. The food was tasty and well prepared. The service very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I have to say is the the place is quite tiny and being full of people in every corner it was quite noisy.
Very good food and service. The only think letting the experience down was the desert which was just ok. That could also be because the starter and main was great. I will def go back here again
Interesting global menu. We had the reasonable value set lunch which had good choices, especially for my vegetarian friend. All the dishes were tasty. Service was friendly and prompt without being over-bearing. Restaurant was not busy but we enjoyed the ambiance so much we stayed for 6 hours! Would recommend this place and go back.
Good service. Quite expensive for what you get though - small portions. Food was tasty but I would have preferred a much bigger portion. Drinks were overpriced too.
What a cute and inviting space - this is a lovely little restaurant and the food is delicious. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly and the food was prompt and very tasty. i will definitely go back!
Good service, good wine and really good value for money
Fantastic food but service was a bit mixed - took ages to get attention / to order drinks / food etc. A few of us wanted the smoked chicken salad but they'd run out of this (and bread!) which was surprising as we were seated at 1pm for lunch so still quite early and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Nice ambience and good location.
The food and restaurant was really nice, but it was definitely let down by the service. We were often getting up to find the waitress for drinks, cutlery, the bill etc.
Great food and efficient, helpful service! Had the chicken salad which was delicious, as was the chocolate fondant for dessert. Thanks for a great meal out.
BETTER ATMOSPHERE IN FRONT OF RESTAURANT THAN IN THE BACK. SERVICE AND FOOD VERY GOOD. THE FRITTERS WERE FANTASTIC AS WAS THE COTE DE BOEUF. TIGER SAUCE IS A TREAT AS WELL.
Excellent food and wine only bettered by the friendly attentive staff . Thanks for a great evening, we will be coming back and recommending to our friends.
Food and drinks were great, service was very friendly. Just took a little bit of time to get our food but this may have been because it was quite busy. Would definitely go back though
Wonderful food, great service and a lovely atmosphere with live guitar music on the Saturday I visited. I can't wait to go back to Cornish Tiger
Good. Towards very good. I am 64 and I wanted somewhere for my (younger) wife and I to go with our 18 year old daughter for a bit of an occasion. We wanted somewhere easy and local(ish) and we had left it to the last minute on a Saturday afternoon to plan it. I was a bit surprised to get the booking so easily. The bill was £210 but that included a round of cocktails, a bottle of wine and one of the dishes the cote de boef for 2 at £58. It was a really nice evening, and the staff were really welcoming and friendly, and the food was almost entirely very good. This is not a criticism but the restaurant is hard to classify. They say "casual fine dining". Yes sort of. They make a big thing about ingredient quality and the sourcing. Very good. However, the portions are pretty large and more akin to a gastropub (although more special). That can be brilliant or not depending on priorities. How much do you as a customer rate "sophistication"? The presentation was nice - slate plates etc - but not "fine dining" style at all. The food did not have the artistic flourishes which in many places are pretentious, but some people like them. There are no table cloths (because it is "casual"), no long explanations about the food and how it is cooked, no fancy presentations, no sommeliers, no endless attention and endless filling up glasses that one expects with fine dining. The menu is straightforward, food orientated (no "drizzled with jus") but classical. No "small plates" or "tasting menus" here (I wish there had been as some dishes sounded interesting) . Starter, main, dessert. Not vast choices but once again that may not be a problem. The bread to start with was typical. It came (with a normal crust) in a basket just like a gastropub. Not in a fancy heated cloth with rocks in it and with extra flavours (for example). The butter was just butter. Not made with skimmed goats milk (joke) with some special local flavouring ....... However, the bread was clearly fresh and very nice. But don't get me wrong, as a group of 3 we actually really enjoyed almost all the food. The wine list - I chose the 4th cheapest red wine and it was £30. I think if you are "casual" then some clever choices of inexpensive wines would be expected. It did not feel like a fine dining wine list either. Decor and ambiance - yes casual but not fine dining. Not retro. A bit fake trendy. It felt like modern IKEA wood tables (wood - tick) and the room surrounded by a railway carriage soft bench seating. You have to have exposed brickwork (tick), and a bit of artwork (tick), music (modern but bit innocuous tick) but it felt their heart was not really into it when it comes to atmosphere. Cornish Tiger is about the food, the cooking and the sourcing, and is not quite so much about the "experience" So I suspect that they are just a bit confused who they are aiming at, and therefore some customers may be a bit disappointed, and yet it is a very honest and good quality attempt at really nice food in a restaurant environment without being pretentious. But does that make it a touch expensive? But we enjoyed it and we would go again.
Great food and attentive service made for an enjoyable evening at Cornish Tiger. The 'deconstructed' cheesecake was a nice surprise. Would definitely visit here again.
Perfect amazing food, lovely lady be music and was really looked after by very attentive staff. Would happily recommend Cornish tiger to anyone and the Cote de Beouf was exceptional!
We were slightly disappointed with the starters (overall and the size), but overall a lovely restaurant. I would avoid the table just inside the front door though - a bit drafty and newcomers constantly standing over you.
