Lovely food, roast beef was excellent, vegeratables were unusual and really fresh and tasty but with a really good unusual seasoning. Service a bit stretched but didn't detract at all. Highly recommended.
This place is a hidden gem. Four of us booked in and all tried different dishes from the ox cheek (so tender and delicious) to the vegetarian option which was bursting with flavour /variety and texture. The Service was exceptional and the food is reasonably priced. Can't think why I haven't heard of this place before and I would highly recommend it.
Very good food and atmosphere! I had sweetcorn fritters and steak, and I'd highly recommend both. Definitely worth a visit. Great for groups or couples.
Fantastic restaurant! Really lovely staff and the food was to die for, I would definitely recommend this place for a midweek treat or to impress a date
Very attentive service. Great menu choice. Food was of good quality & very well presented. There are lots of places to eat in this area & this place features in my top 5!
Helpful and speedy service. Good starter choice and varied main courses, and bream cooked to perfection. Red wine slightly on sweet side despite being from Italy. We will return.
An up-market restaurant with a quiet and relaxed atmosphere with high quality food. Myself, wife and two children (15, 9) had the excellent 7-course taster meal (the only option on New Years Eve). It was very expensive at £60 per person (no kids option), but the kids enjoyed the food and it was a good and different experience for them. I recommend this establishment.
Lovely environment to be in, wasn't to busy on a Friday night which was nice. The food was of a very good standard. Going to be going back soon.
Amazing food, fresh delicious flavours, beautiful wine, great service. We just love this place and never are disappointed coming back! Every friend we bring also loves it the same way we do.
Food and decor were quite good. The head waitress knew what she was doing, but the others seemed to have no clue/first day on the job, or to at least have a serious lack of confidence. The improvement in service would have well enhanced our visit. Also was slightly expensive for what we got.
Overall a great experience. Good food at an excellent price. The service was good. Only negative was that the honeycomb on the desert was burnt.
Great atmosphere, very good food and well presented. Good service. Will definitely go back anytime. The two courses menu is a great and inexpensive option.
I really like this place. Having been a few times, the staff are always friendly, the food is good with slight twists that you don't expect, in a good way! Prosecco Tuesday is something we discovered on the most recent visit and was most welcome for those of us not having a 'dry' January!
Very good restaurant in great location, menu varied and different for the usual run of the mill, would certainly recommend to friends and will certainly visit again
Excellent food, although would be better value to go before 7 with their set menu. We went after 7 with normal menu which was a bit overpriced for what it is, but overall enjoyable experience
Lovely food. Excellent attentive service. Dined off the set menu and had 2 courses. Which was good value. Would definitely come again and recommend to friends.
The CT experience was really nice. Top quality cooking; fine wine and an excellent, knowledgeable, professional yet generous staff to take care of your evening. Can't complain, can you? Definitely going back there again.
Not amazing. Sunday Roasts advertised 12-6, arrived at 4 and no beef or lamb left. While the chicken was nice, the service wasn't fantastic and the whole meal was on the expensive side.
Delightful restaurant with happy, smiling staff. Very good food fully justifies their pricing. Service charge all passed on to staff. Highly recommended. Soft shell crab was particularly good, but the menu changes often and depends on that which can be obtained fresh, especially the Cornish fish.
We just had a Sunday Roast at Cornish Tiger, it was PERFECT, the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside, the roast beef was so tender it didn't need to be cut it just fell apart, the portions were very filling & the icing on the cake was the staff, very attentive but not overbearing, i can fully recommend this establishment 10/10
went on a double date, atmosphere was lively and blueberry margarita was very good! Starters were OK, I had the halloumi salad and found it to be bland, my boyfriend had the wings and was impressed. The main was a big disappointment we had the "chef recommended" cote de beauf, the food was well presented but very disappointing in taste. The meat was way over cooked for medium and so fatty the actual edible meat was very little between two people. The bearnaise was not nice and the roasted potatoes weren't crispy, the cabbage on the other hand was by far the best veg on the plate very tasty. The dessert were again just OK. Overall the service was good as well as the cocktails but disappointed by the food and would probably not return unless just for drinks.
Best Sunday roast I've had in a while! Definitely go for the 24hr slow cooked beef! Very good service and nice atmosphere. Their set menu served in the week looks very reasonable, will have to go back to try it
Perfect birthday dinner for my gluten intolerant wife! Excellent service as usual.
Visited midweek so not too busy. Food was very good and menu offers good selection at reasonable prices. Our choice of starters (soft shell crab and trio of smoked fish) in particular were excellent. Will definitely visit again.
Highly recommend Tiger cornish. Fresh food, great service and a good feel to the place. Not too noisy but it had atmosphere. Well be back
The food was very good. It was delicious, of high quality and presented beautifully. However, I thought the wine by the glass was rather expensive. Sadly, we were the only ones in there which was quite bizarre as it was a Saturday afternoon, so there was zero ambience. The restaurant itself though is lovely, casual, yet modern decor with very comfy seats!
Yum! Such delicious, interesting flavours. We spent the evening sampling each other's food and agreed that this is a great dining experience. We will be back!
This is a nice restaurant which we visit regularly. We enjoyed our cold tomato soups, and lamb and ribeye steak mains - though the Tiger Sauce was a little hot for my taste! Service was pretty good, though as Friday evening the restaurant was popular. Our only quibble was the wine list - not much choice for under £30 a bottle.
Really nice Sunday lunch, one of the better one's in Clapham. Also had really nice starters. Nice little local restaurant. Would definitely recommend. Have been here a couple of times now and both times the food was great.
Great relaxed service and amazing food. for a start the olives were so tasty. We both had fish which was delicious. Will definitely come back.
Over all, the meal was superb , great food, wine and coffee but I have to single out the beef , as it was absolutely stunning. Cannot recommend a visit highly enough
Food was amazing. Crab starter and hake for main. Was beautifully cooked and delicious! Wine was lovely and house was delicious and not over priced. Service was attentive and accommodating but not suffocating. The staff were also happy with us just sitting and drinking more wine and beer after we'd finished out meal instead of making us feel pressured to leave and vacate the table. Wonderful establishment. Would visit again!!
Food was really lovely and quite unusual. My smoked fish starter was very good. Decor was nice. £3 glass of prosecco was most welcome. Only bad point was very slow service.
Great food and atmosphere. make sure you sit in the front of the restaurant
Excellent restaurant - great food, good service and lots of gluten free options. They even have a separate gluten free menu which was great!
Friendly service, delicious food and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning!
Cornish Tiger is a terrific advertisement for fusion dining, to use an overworked and perhaps slightly old-fashioned term. Their combination of English ingredients and delicately Levantine flavours works wonderfully. The staff are friendly and welcoming, offering just the right level of service. And, joy of joys, the cheese board is the same price as the desserts.
The food was lovely but the service was terrible. It wasn't particularly busy when we went but it took ages for food to arrive and trying to order drinks was impossible. One friend arrived late and she waited over an hour for her drink order to be taken.
As always (we come quite often), great food, great service!
Very pleasant-good food, eager staff, but a bit steep price-wise.
Excellent. Lovely food and staff. Very nice atmosphere. Will definitely return
Great fresh food, full of flavour! Will definitely be back!
Great lunch. With two people lactose intolerant the chef had kindly gone through his menu and ticked which dishes would be best to have.... even before we had arrived. Attentive service. Nice food. Nice place.
The service is always attentive and friendly. All four of us loved our starters and mains, and we all ordered different things. This is a lovely restaurant!
Service was good, not excellent, with one item being mistakenly delivered even though it was not ordered. The food was really overpriced. I would expect a restaurant at this price point to give free bread or olives, and not charge £3.50 (each). The main dishes were good though not very creative, and again, very overpriced. I will not be returning.
they have extremely friendly and helpful staff, the food was outstanding.
This visit was intended as a treat for two young (ish) relatives. They, and we, were very impressed by the quality and the originality of the food. We had an excellent wine and drank rather more than we would ordinarily have done! The service was very good.
Great place. Pretty, tasty food. Good service and nice atmosphere.
Went to Cornish Tiger in Clapham and loved it! I had never been before but a friend and I have a regular lunch date and always try somewhere new, and this had got excellent reviews so we thought we'd give it a go. We both ordered from the special set two or three-course menu and the food was delicious, and the service was top notch too. The only odd thing was that we were the only diners in there (it was a Wednesday lunchtime) so I can't comment too much on the atmosphere - though we liked the décor - but I imagine it must be a buzzy place when it's full. I'd definitely eat there again, and if you haven't tried it yet, go!
Delicious fine cooked food at great value in a relaxed local setting. Service was impeccable too.
