The food is inoffensive. It isn't going to set the world alight. Most Indian restaurants tend to have dishes that really sing. Not here. Interesting décor. Large, cold, high ceiling room.

Londoners on a weekend away in Hythe. 2 adults 3 teens. The food was excellent - fresh and delicious. They are clearly proud of their food too, setting out on the menu where they source their meat etc - a nice touch. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and the chef himself came out to say hello. Would recommend and we hope to visit again.

The very best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to! The food is superb and varied- different to the run of the mill Indian restaurants. American visitors and my family love it! The staff are wonderful- friendly and helpful!

At first we struggled to find how to get in but helpful man in the bar told us where to go. We ate early as we had my 10yr old daughter with us. As the restaurant was quiet the waitress(wearing her ugg boots) was super helpful, friendly and attentive. She advised us the best dish to order for a non spice lover and also the portions sizes so we didn't over order. All the dishes wear delicious, the complementary courses wear just perfect too!! The temperature in the restaurant was a tad cold so we had a table near the radiator. I dine out often and occasionally come away disappointed, but Coppers you did not disappoint. My friend is super fussy with food and she also loved everything she ate. I would 100% recommend Coopers and I cant wait to come back. Thank you for a delightful meal and experience.

I would say the food was Indian fine dining. It was not your standard high street Indian food there were many different dishes I had never seen before. All the food was beautifully presented. The staff were lovely helpful and friendly. The weather outside was awful when we had finished meal and a waitress offer 3 of us a lift back to our hotel and possibly the manager, took the other 2 of our party back to the hotel. Absolutely above and beyond great service. We highly recommend this restaurant and it’s lovely staff.

Excellent food, discrete and friendly service, and surprisingly good value bill. We had a goat curry and a prawn curry. We both tried a bit of each and they complemented each other. The wine was good value and we really enjoyed our evening.

Love the fusion of flavours at Coppers and the little touches...amuse Bouche at the beginning and the little cups of soup after the starters. I can't understand why this place isn't heaving with customers trying to book a table....it's great.

Great restaurant, recently refurbished and looks amazing! Always loved their food, and now with their updated Menu the dishes are even more sophisticated and yummy! Will recommend it 100% and will always come back. By the way, on Saturdays they have a great Pianist playing ;)

When it took over an hour just to get our starters, we knew something was not right. The wait staff did their best, but obviously they were just overwhelmed and unable to cope with the situation. When we asked for an explanation were told that a member of the kitchen staff was unable to get in due to the effects of the storm. It is a shame that we were not given that information voluntarily as it would have really helped to ease the situation. This was a friends get-together meal for six, and I had come from the US specifically for it. Despite the concerns and lengthy waits between courses, we all had a great time, but this was due more to the camaraderie and liquids consumed than the food, which was mediocre at best.

Deliciously fresh dishes, fragrantly spiced and beautifully presented. High quality ingredients and interesting combinations. A good wine list and relaxed atmosphere. Attentive and prompt service with customer satisfaction at its heart. Quirky decor which some may find somewhat dated.

By far the best Indian food we've had. Excellent service, lovely surroundings. It was nice to see some different dishes on the menu from the usual things. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I've lived in the area for over 20 and never realised the restaurant was there. What a lovely find!!

Couldn't fault the food at Coppers - it was delicious and lovely to have some extra chefs tasters as well. Service was very good although some staff didn't have a lot of knowledge about ingredients in the dishes! The atmosphere was ok but could have been improved with more screening between tables. The ceiling is very high which makes acoustics strange and lighting was not great. However, we really enjoyed the meal.

We had a starter and main course, which were fine in themselves. We ordered popadoms to start with, but they were served late, after our main course had arrived. They appeared far from freshly prepared and were unappetising. I ordered a bottle of Cobra beer, displayed almost top of the drinks menu, but was told "we don't have any bottles, only draft". Our repeat drinks order was forgotten and had to be re-ordered after 15 minutes of waiting. The service, or lack of it, let down the overall experience. There were only two waiting staff to cater to the whole restaurant. Yes, the food is a little out of the ordinary and would, if accompanied by a good level of service, be worth the money charged. As it is, it was an overpriced and unsatisfactory experience. Next time, I'll go to a bog standard curry house where I know they'll be more attentive and I'll pay half the price.

We had a great meal at Coppers in Hythe. The curries were freshly cooked and very tasty. The nan breads were wonderful and the service was friendly. We would highly recommend a visit to anyone seeking something different from your run of the mill curry house.

I've tried all the Indian restaurants locally and this and the Holy Pundit (its sister restaurant) are by far the best. Try the garlic South Indian curry. It's a cut above your usual curry house but the prices are very reasonable and it's consistently great.
