the food as excellent and wine selection was great. Nice atmosphere as well. The staff were always helping each other which was very nice to see.
Have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and it is gradually improving after a period of poor performance. Friday lunchtime was busy but not chaotic. Service was friendly and efficient although I did have to remind staff that we had ordered a bottle of wine. My starter was an unusual combination of tuna flakes on rocket served with buffalo mozzarella and red peppers. I am not sure that it all worked with such a combination of flavours and textures. Diners should be aware that this is a large portion - I could not finish it. Main course was a beautifully prepared salmon in a herb crust served on a bed of wilted spinach. Excellent! Both my fellow diners had pasta dishes which they thought very good. A bottle of reasonably priced Gavi accompanied the meal. An enjoyable experience.
Food was decent quality, but service was pretty poor. One of our salads didn't come with the meal and we had to ask two different waiters to bring it. It finally arrived, but way after my mom had finished her meal. We also had to ask repeatedly for other basic items, such as bread and water.
Good food, wine and service. Will go again. Pasta with prawns and zucchini very good. Too full to try dessert, so will skip starters next time!
Great small home business and authentic food with wide selection of mains and desserts! Prices are reasonable and good location. A must visit if you are in victoria!
Service was friendly and efficient, but the quality/authenticity of the food was less good. The risotto served to one in my party did not use the correct rice, and the sauce on the pasta looked like it was not home made.
Lovely friendly family restaurant. Good food and service at a reasonable price for somewhere in Victoria. Once again a pleasure to dine here. I will be back!
Nice meal, not outstanding, fairly good value. Service a bit slow, especially once it had emptied out. On the whole not bad, ideal for a lunch.
Nice restaurant, waitresses a bit too "keen" at times, clearing food before we'd finished but really can't criticise the service beyond that. A little slow getting the bill once we'd asked for it but I am being very picky. Overall a really nice experience, and the food was excellent. Toilets weren't great though.
Decent food in a comfortable setting, but a noisy ambience and slow service detracts from the experience. There's an uncertainty about the place as to its target market (Londoners or tourists, budget or premium).
Excellent family run Italian with good quality authentic Italian food - Highly recommended! This is much better than the mediocre chain restaurants that surround it!
Two people at 6.30pm on a Thursday evening. Restaurant nicely busy but not over-crowded. Good meal - one chicken, one sea bass. Decent sized portions. Friendly service. Apple juice not the best.
Fabulous, great and fresh food. Ambience was perfect. It was nice to sit down Ina relaxed and quiet atmosphere, enjoy our meal and listen to each other without having to shout.
Arrived at six o clock on a Friday evening. The restaurant was empty. Given a nice table and made very welcome by the pleasant and helpful staff. A tasty bowl of tomato soup, which actually tasted of tomato! Followed by a decent peppered steak, accompanied by a mix of well-prepared vegetables. This was just what this particular diner needed on a chilly evening in Westminster. Good wine, not expensive. And a complimentary glass of grappa to round things off. I would certainly return. It felt genuinely Italian.
Lovely food, although service at times wasn't too attentive. My glass was empty most of the evening without any offers for a refill. Food was good though, and extremely reasonably priced. Will return.
Great food, awesome puddings and friendly staff. Location is really handy near tubes and Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. And the prices are really good. I would recommend Colosseo Restuarant
We were a party of three and enjoyed and early evening dinner. The food (we all had pasta courses with different starters) and wine were delicious. The service was excellent and the prices, given the central London location, were most reasonable. I would definitely visit again. This is hidden gem among other more brash chains of eateries and well worth a visit.
welcomed as we walked in. everyone thoroughly enjoyed there meals. The service was very polite and professional. My guests were very impressed. Pity you are such a long way from Derbyshire
My wife and I were pleased to get a reservation on short notice. Colosseo was a fantastic experience. The staff was warm and welcoming. They were very helpful in explaining the menus to new customers. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. The service was great. We would recommend Colosseo to anyone who wants delicious Italian cuisine served by friendly staff.
Great little authentic Italian restaurant with excellent pizzas and service. Baked salmon was very tasty. Looks very small from the outside but inside is big with plenty of tables so no need to book even on a Saturday night.
Excellent meal - as someone said at our table 'a taste of Italy'. The staff were friendly and efficient and the ambience was very comfortable.
Good quality italian food - if you're looking for somewhere for authentic italian food in central london it's a good place to go. It's very good for near where I work so it's location is what sells it to me.
Great food, good selection all reasonably price. Relaxing atmosphere with efficient and friendly staff. The bill for three was a pleasant surprise, too! Typical and genuine Italian experience. Will certainly come back being so close to Victoria
There were 10 of us we all got served every course at the same time. The food was lovely and the staff were very attentive.
We didn't make it into the restaurant - the chef was outside the main entrance, smoking a cigarette which put us off completely! A very bad first impression.
Colosseo provided two excellent salads, promptly and courteously served. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing. I have eaten at Colosseo many times and this has been my consistent experience.
Perfect for a lovely afternoon for a work lunch. The food was excellent and service was brilliant. A favourite of ours for these team lunches.
Very good pizza and iced tea. Service was good, waitress very smiley. The pictures on the wall are a bit strange. Other people in the group enjoyed,
After reading some online reviews it looked as though this would be a good place to get some nice Italian food. I would have to say the food was mediocre at best. I had the Puttanesca and it was truly the worst I have ever had. Very bland. The ravioli which my friend had didn't even come to the table hot. There was no bread served with the meal, so we ordered some garlic bread ( an extra 4.95) and it was inedible. Burnt and stale. For dessert we had profiteroles which appeared to have been defrosted. Would definitely not recommend this place nor would I ever return. The waitstaff was nice which was the only highlight of the meal.
We were a party of eight. The food was excellent, the portions were substantial and the service was both friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we could talk easily without too much ambient noise. I'm sure we will return.
Excellent in every way. Lovely atmosphere super friendly staff efficient quick service and best of all wonderful food at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend
I recommend the garlic bread with mozzarella to start and I had a gnocchi dish from the specials menu which was very nice but my friends had pasta dishes which looked very good and the portion was large! The Pinot Grigio wine was a good accompaniment. The service was good.
Pleasant no frills everyday Italian that was able to accommodate our request for a round table and gluten-free pasta ( fusilli only). It did take a while for our food to come even though we had explained we only had an hour. Dishes were good, however, and prices reasonable.
When we arrived at the restaurant e were given a great welcome. The menu offered us a wide choice including vergartarian options. We were served a tasty meal, with attentive service. We keep going back.
Excellent food & good service. Unfortunately I was feeling poorly so could finish my meal. Without asking they offered to box it to take home, We will definitely go back
Very friendly happy restaurant. A perfect place to visit for a comforting Italian meal with friends. Enjoyed our meal and thought it was very good value
Food, wine and service were very good. We went on recommendation of friend. Good choice. Location convenient to our hotel and prices were reasonable, certainly by London standards.
Lovely food and great service, we had a round table which was lovely for my party so we could chat.Loved the surroundings and the fresh flowers
Excellent service, friendly, prompt, efficient. Some typical Italian restaurant décor, unaffected. Real food, not fancy but Italian and filling. No rush - not crowded - but 2 courses, in and out in an hour. Will go back - and have done.
Really tasty, simple food and friendly, relaxed service. It is a little pricey for what it is, but given the area of London it's good value. My 8 year old loved the pizza and she is quite a connoisseur!
Good food, good atmosphere, good service. Easy to book and no problem with reservation. Would definitely go there again and recommend it to others. Thanks.
Lovely restaurant with a very authentic atmosphere. All staff were very polite and helpful. Food was superb! Would return again. Great location and easy to find!
A perfectly good Italian restaurant but limited on gluten free. I had a nice steak but there were no gluten free potatoes to go with it
Went for a weekday lunch and the service and food were as impeccable as ever. One of the best "local" Italian restaurants around - it amazes me that people will queue up to go to Pizza Express rather than go to Colosseo but that's their loss.
We were a large group and we were very pleased with the service and food. We would highly recommend. Excellent restaurant tucked away on Victoria Street.
An excellent dining experience, quality menu, super tasty pasta and very friendly staff. A brilliant local restaurant for a working lunch at extremely affordable prices
nice restaurant. Good food and friendly staff. Service a little slow for lunch time but there were a few Christmas parities in so probably held h=things up. Would go back
Good food, generous portion sizes and friendly, helpful service. The prices were reasonable for a central London restaurant. I look forward to eating here again.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Went there for a work lunch and the food was served quickly, and to the whole party of five at the same time. All of us said that we will be returning - hopefully soon!
Very friendly staff who were happy to have a joke made this an excellent place to eat. The food was also very good and came out quickly. Would heartily recommend!
