Once again, simply fantastic. We sat at the counter and loved every dish we were presented with. The black rice and octopus remains a favourite. Thank you SB!
Great variety of food but If in a group you can easily do the whole menu Food is really tasty with some excellent combinations of ingredients you would not usually have thought go together but this chef is so clever it really works
Amazing ambiance, fantastic service, delicious food.. This place is a must visit... We will definitely be returning for the ribs/calamari/Prawns/Churros as well as looking forward to checking out the rest of the menu!
Great atmosphere, lovely staff and the food is excellent. Menu changed since my last visit and it was even better than we remembered. Definitely will return.
Great service with friendly and welcoming staff. The food is interesting and tasty food with a great atmosphere but still able to talk - highly recommend.
Great atmosphere, amazing food. Service was great and dealt with a missing dish with creativity, style & humour. You do need to go with the flow in this restaurant but def worth it.
Amazing food, great atmosphere - so lovely for a Tuesday! Friendly and enthusiastic service. And an absolute bargain with the 241 tapas deal! We'll be back :)
Delicious and innovative tapas in a lovely, relaxed setting. We loved the food, wine and deserts. It was pretty much faultless but as a vegetarian, it would be good to see a couple more options.
Fantastic service all evening and absolutely amazing food. Highly recommend this restaurant. Affordable prices and great atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.
Fantastic food and fantastic service. Loved it. Will definitely be coming back very soon. Be sure to book though as it is tiny. Thank you.
Another delightful meal at Senor Buddha, and importantly for me four excellent vegan options to choose from. As always the wine was superb too. A cosy, bustling atmosphere fine food and good wine, a perfect way to spend a fresh spring evening.
Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, lovely chefs/foh going at incredible pace. Love the inventiveness of the dishes though not quite as wonderfully bonkers as last time we visited. But a real gem.
Food was good, but felt that you were "packed in" a bit on a Saturday evening. Aware tha they do another sitting on a Saturday, but you were pushed to pay the bill, overall ok but not as good as you would hope.
Really enjoyed the food and the service was good. Some more wine options would've been good but that's just nit picking. One of the more interesting menus in brighton.
A great little place - very reminiscent to small tapas places I've been to in Barcelona and Madrid. It's tapas with a twist, so don't expect to have the same old standards that most tapas restaurants in the UK would serve. We tried most things on the menu, all were good and some were really fantastic. Dishes ranged between £4.50 to £8, and were all fantastic value for money. The wine list was also good, with plenty of good Spanish wines around the £20-£30 mark. Two of us had a bottle of wine, 5 tapas to share plus a dessert, and the bill only just topped £40!! Everything is cooked to order in the open kitchen, which also adds to the atmosphere. If I was in Spain and went to a place like this I'd be really happy. To find this kind of food in Brighton is amazing - and I'll definitely be going back ;-)
Excellent food, interesting, flavourful and served by extremely friendly and charming young lady,Christina. We sat at the "kitchen bar"so had the added fun of seeing our dinner prepared and also the chance to chat with the talented and friendly chef. Will recommend Senhor Buddha to all friends.
I've walked past Senor Buddha many times during the day and because it's next to some dodgy looking fast food joints never considered what it would be like. If you like Tapas you'll love it. Innovative combinations cooked and served with obvious passion and a lovely open kitchen informal vibe. We had 5 tapas, and a fat glass of red and spent £40 inc tip. What's not to like?
Fantastic food and great service. Enjoyed sitting at the pass and watching the chef prepare each dish. Great selection of meat and veg tapas style food.
Some lovely dishes that combine Spanish and Thai flavours. The scallops and a zesty salad were to die for, asparagus was great and other dishes worked well. But I don't think Thai and Spanish should be combined at any cost - the cauliflower, pineapple and tamarind was very strange indeed.
Yet again fantastic food. Great view sat at the pass watching all the different dishes being prepared. Book ahead as it gets busy even mid-week.
Really delicious food, lovely wine in a cosy little restaurant. Just a shame we couldn't fit in trying all the tapas dishes! Will come back again for sure.
Great food, great experience siting at the pass watching our food being prepared by a real professional. Can't wait to return in the near future.
A small restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and great staff. The food is absolutely delicious! We shared 5 dishes in total between the two of us, our favourite being the mutton stew
We have been here a few times and the good is always fabulous. The staff know what they're talking about and make great recommendations. A great local restaurant
Could not recommend this place more!! First time there, the food was incredible and made even better by the lovely staff. Such a great, cosy atmosphere. Hope to sit at the bar next time and watch all the food being cooked 😍 Will definitely be returning!!
The food was delicious; a perfect balance of the unexpected and staunch favourites. For example the patatas bravas were spicier than they come at most tapas places in Brighton, the combo of lychee went really well with the fried goats cheese and the miso dressing on the grilled asparagus absolutely made it. Our party was one veggie and one eater-of-all-things and there were plenty of menu options to satisfy both of us. The only downside was that there were a few items on the menu not available, which we only found out after ordering. It happens though, and after eating our delicious meal we hardly noticed their absence.
Another amazing night of fantastic food. A new menu this time but still had the padron peppers and patatas bravas. The sticky ribs were the best dish of the evening. Well done chef
Not as good as last time - food not as tasty and staff looked hassled. It is Xmas so willing to give it another go
First time at senor Buddha and would definitely recommend it. The whole experience was so good. Food so tasty, chef and staff were so attentive and friendly.
Lovely atmosphere, really interesting and tasty food. Great service!! Some of the flavour combinations were unusual but really worked. I would love to go to this place again for one of their famous fish thursdays.
Great atmosphere, small, friendly place. Fantastic, original and interesting tapas dishes and really great value for money. I'd advise booking as it's tiny and very popular!
Incredible food and service! It was the second time we had been and it was just as amazing as the first time! Would highly recommend!
Fabulous atmosphere and interesting, delicious dishes (we wanted to try them all). Very friendly staff, rasaonably priced and a good selection of wine, too. We will be back!
Senior Buddha has great food, very tasty and good wine. Nice atmosphere. It is very convenient for the duke of Yorks. We would recommend it.
Lovely food and not over priced with the great tapas deal. Staff great too and chef fantastic. Would definitely recommend to a visit if your near by.
Just fantastic - I LOVED the menu and could have eaten all of it. Although slightly concerned when given two places on stools at the pass, it was great to see some dishes before we ordered and none disappointed from potatas bravas to exceptional asparagus and pork I would gladly have eaten three plates of. It is a small restaurant and you can have to wait to order etc, not all the dishes arrive together, but for this quality of creativity and taste overall it was outstanding and I am very fussy!
The staff were nice, but the food was not great, plus they lost our order then rushed it through as we were due at the theatre. Atmosphere - was too light in the restaurant - could have been a bit more of a romantic type of lighting. Will not be going again.
Superb, great value, friendly service, good beer, the calamari made me emotional it was so lovely. Best food outlet in Brighton at the moment. Highly recommend
I honestly cannot rate Senor Buddha highly enough... a wonderful gem in Brighton!! The food is unreal and an experience that should not be missed! I'm loathed to share how wonderful in case gets too busy and I can't get a table again... We sat at the pass this Saturday just gone, which is really wonderful as you can watch the team work and they are more than happy to chat, even the very busy head chef... We had four tapas dishes all different and as good as each other... They also offer great mid-week offers with 2 for 1 on tapas I think Tuesday and Wednesdays
The best food we've eaten out for a while! Service was great, friendly and helpful. Good wine selection and spirts too. Will be back very soon.
A delightfully cosy tapas bar. Warm and welcoming with excellent food and wine. Thoroughly recommend the grilled asparagus salad, lively padrons and of course the patatas bravas.
Small but with a strong signature . The food is inspiring and delicious. It's a very inclusive experience with opinions and guidance on choices for both the food and wine
Amazing food. Great ambience. Lovely service. Such delicious Asian and Spanish fusion tapas. Very good atmosphere and it is lovely to see the food being cooked in front of you.
The food is delicious. Favourites are the squid, drunken prawns in keeping with the patron eating them and the pork with subtle kimchi salad. All divine! Senior Buddah is its name in its gastronomical sense. I also highly recommend the red wine Porto 6. Liquid velvet in a glass. A great recommendation by SB staff. A resounding well done. Keeps you going back for more, booking via quando was excellent. Just book and turn up to delightful food and drink experience! Cheers!
Love this place, really friendly, great wine and coffee. Food good too and 241 on Tuesdays hitch was a nice surprise as it's not the cheapest place.
Food was lovely, specially impressed by the avocado and tequila ice cream, but everything was good. Food is served a dish at a time rather than everything at once which makes for a longer more relaxed meal. The kitchen is open plan so you can see everything being made. By 7.30 this small restaurant was full and the atmosphere vibrant. Would definitely return.
Lovely restaurant and wonderful food. Highly recommend the Whisky Prawns and the pineapple cauliflower. The service was great. We Will definitely be back very soon!
Lovely food, friendly staff, food portions generous for the modest price tag attached. I sat at the bar and chatted to the chef, looked like the best seats in the house to me. Will be back! Mitch
Nice relaxed vibe. Food had some interesting combinations (my boyfriend less keen on some than me!), and wine was lovely. Very good value as on Tuesdays and Wednesdays they are doing 241 tapas at the moment!
Fantastic place! Limited to a small number of guests, so you get great service and fantastic food served very fresh and very quickly, but not hurried to leave your seats to allow others. The Porta 6 red wine is a definite hit too
