Another excellent meal. Well done. Especially enjoyed the legacy Kung po. Staff as always very attentive without being over baring. Looking forward to going back very soon
Lovely restaurant staff very helpful first visit here but would certainly return even though the restaurant was busy you didn’t need to wait for service
Excellent restaurant. Can recommend sizzling lamb in black pepper sauce. Very spicy and not heavy at all. Quick service and friendly staff. Will be back
Average food average place not for me very busy Saturday night service a bit slow prices a bit high for what you got won’t be back
Great food, good service, a wee bit noisy as it was so busy. Our third visit can thoroughly recommend. Easy to find at Drumbrae roundabout
Great food, friendly helpful staff and nice atmosphere. We have been often and are always delighted. Great choices on the menus including Thai and Japanese.
Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic prices, overall just fantastic, well worth a visit. Atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and friendly, we will be back.
Nice place to go food and service excellent .Have not been for a few years but will return soon . Good choice by the wife.
Excellent food, good service and reasonably priced. Mixed starter was very good, and duck Cantonese style was a delight. Overall a great dining experience had.
food was lovely but staff were in a rush to get you through your meal and out the dorr wasnt a comfy feeling dont think i will be going back
Pleasant welcome from the staff, we had the lunchtime menu, two courses for 9.50, great value and food was delicious, we will return no doubt.
Found the food very bland. They use MSG and I had to ask for dishes without it added. Therefore no flavour. Service was very slow.
Great atmosphere and very attentive service. The food was amazing especially the Legacy Kung Po Chicken. Food was perfect and the whole experience is highly recommended.
Food was lovely although the service was terrible waited over an hour and a half for our food whilst everyone else had been served theirs even customers who came in later than us and then staff came over to the table to ask if we had even ordered!
The Manor House never fails to deliver on good food and atmosphere.... We all left happy, well fed with tasty authentic food ... thanks again👍
Fantastic restaurant . Helpful, friendly staff . Lovely atmosphere . Amazing food . One of our diners required gluten free , staff knowledge great and gf food amazing. Would definately recomend this restaurant
Great meals, large menu with a quite some special meals. I strongly recommend, also because of the quick service and the friendly waiters. Parking lot is not so great, unfortunately.
Whilst we usually love this restaurant, tonight they were extremely busy and as a result the food and service were substandard. It’s a real shame, but sadly we didn’t enjoy the food and we won’t be rushing back.
We eat in the MNor House most weekends. This time with some of our family including two children and were so pleased with the service as always and the way the children were dealt with as one has a milk and egg allergy. Instead of ice cream the youngest child was given jelly and real fruit. Many thanks
On the minus side, It would have been nice to have been offered water with our meal and some means of cleaning our sticky fingers after eating spare ribs. On the plus side, the food was delicious, the staff friendly and we will definitely go back.
Food and service were excellent. Lovely ambience. The restaurant was busy, but staff timed everything to perfection. Fabulous vegetarian selection on the menu. Best Chinese in Edinburgh!
Extremely busy on our visit last night, the staff were not as attentive as usual to the point we had to ask for drinks as opposed to the usual excellent table service we receive. The food took longer to arrive, although when served it was just as delicious as usual. It was clear the usual attentive service was missing, we had to dish out our own rice as opposed to it initially being plated, very small point but nevertheless this usually happens. The staff, when they did speak were still friendly but were clearly struggling to cope. Slightly disappointed with last nights visit but we will return, hopefully on a somewhat quieter evening.
We have never been disappointed with this restaurant, the owner takes a great interest in her customers, and the staff are very friendly and efficient. We have tried several different dishes and non disappoint, simply delicious. The price is reasonable and one does expect to pay for quality. Recommended , enjoy!
We enjoyed a superb meal well up to the Manor House's reputation and standards. The service was friendly and discreet. Whenever I visit my family in Corstorphine I always try and dine at this establishment and it has never failed to provide a fine dining experience.
Our Table was ready on time, we were served promptly, our order was taken and tasty food arrived quickly. Our chosen wine was from New Zealand and very palatable! The staff very curtious.
Food was excellent. Service in the main was very good although we did have to ask twice on a couple of occasions. Coffees were served stone cold but were replaced quickly with apologies.
Excellent food, good service, fair pricing. Signature dish of lime duck was new to me and it was delicious. I'll defo be eating there again.
The meals were excellent and the service very efficient. The only thing wrong was they never put on their air con and it was a very warm night so the restaurant was very hot inside and this made it a little bit uncomfortable.
The meal was great and the service was top notch as well.
Nice inside, good service, good choice on menu, Salt and chilli haggis a must to try for starter. There were 4 of us dining all said we will definitely go back.
Excellent meal in lovely surroundings. Staff as always friendly and approachable. Especially recommend the salt and chilli haggis and the soft shell crab. Will be back soon
Lovely meal and great service in this restaurant. Been a few times before and not been disappointed once. Would recommend it to anyone for a night out or special occasion.
Quite a regular here, always superb food and excellent service, would highly recommend. Our favourite is the mixed Satay, chicken, Beef and king prawn , absolutely delicious.
The food was lovely, but the child’s meal did seem a little expensive at £11 for for 3 large chicken nuggets which had too much batter on it, rice, a drink and an ice cream. The service wasn’t the best either had to ask a few times for certain things during the meal and it looked like the waiters were huddled round a phone at one point watching the World Cup! I have given a 4 rating because the food the adults had was very nice.
We always enjoy the food here at the Chinese Manor House - its our favourite Chinese Restaurant. The Haggis starter is especially good. We would definately recommend a visit
All good as usual as we visit fairly regularly, except we had a half an hour wait between our starters and main meal which is unusual
I was very impressed with the food and the service and the happy atmosphere of the place. It is very convenient and I will definitely be back.
It was a great meal, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We received good service and it has a great menu to choose from. Would definitely go back!!
Excellent food, service and ambience, would highly recommend a visit.
Food was excellent. Only knocking off one star as it was really busy and service was a bit slow as a result. Would still recommend though.
Reasonable meal although food not very hot .Staff could have been more friendly & helpful. Not my most enjoyable eating experience there and therefore unlikely to revisit.
Great food and excellent value for money. Friendly staff, attentive and patient (we were a party of 7!). would definitely recommend this restaurant. Only one very minor complaint - we didn't get asked if we wanted desserts :-(
Great food and extensive menu staff are very friendly I would definitely eat here again. Thanks for a great night really enjoyed our selves, Thanks Jimmy
The service was excellent and the food was just as good .The restaurant was clean and warm, the staff were all ways on hand if you had any questions
Been here a few times. Whilst food was Great the service was not as good had to ask for Water 3 times other tables were served before us at times felt we were forgotten about. However as Food was good we would return
Very enjoyable meal with good food and great service. One minor issue dealt with quickly, making the meal better than ordered. Bitter cold night outside but nice temp inside.
Excellent service, lovely food! Visiting Edinburgh from South Yorkshire and looked around for a decent Chinese to visit. Saw this and the resteraunt looked clean and welcoming. My wife and I wasn’t disappointed!! Great service from both the staff who dealt with us and nice atmosphere. Food was piping hot and didn’t have to wait long to receive. Would definitely reccomend to anyone visiting the area, and would visit again if coming back to Edinburgh! Thanks for a great meal. Nicola & Dan from Barnsley!
Excellent meal in good surroundings. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Especially enjoyed the soft shell crab starter. I would certainly recommend the Chinese Manor House and look forward to going back
Great service and lovely food. Portions are a good size and prices are reasonable. Well worth a visit, will definitely be back next time we’re in Edinburgh.
Myself and my 2 teenagers enjoyed a meal on Saturday evening. Restaurant was busy so service was slightly slower than normal, but food was excellent
