Chime - Hartford

Service excellent. Just had a Caesar salad which was lovely except the bacon had been overlooked so was very chewy. No dessert just a coffee which was good and strong.

The food and the service were excellent and the staff were very attentive, however the chairs a little uncomfortable as we were sitting for about 2 hours

As always, great food, great atmosphere, my favourite place to eat and relax . Went with my daughter for a girly night and we enjoyed it so much

Sticky ribs that were not sticky but tasteless, and main course that was luke warm. Service also a bit slow but not fully booked. Overall would not go back.

service was good, I enjoyed my meal (Duck wrap) , but my friend just didnt enjoy hers( shredded lamb wrap). We told the waiter and he was going to tell the chef! Chips were gorgeous!

Beautiful restaurant with very friendly & helpful staff. Only downside being they have recently changed the menu and the vegetarian options are not quite as good - in my opinion. Still excellent food and value for money!

The service was excellent and the food delicious, i had the Garlic & Chilli Prawns followed by Steak & Chips, (the Chips were divine). My husband had the Ribs followed by British Fajitas and finished off with a Chocolate Fondant. He said all three were delicious. Nicely furnished restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. Will definitely pay them another visit.

Lovely place with fantastic food and great staff. Have visited many times and never been disappointed. Book early as it gets busy. Sunday roast is great too!

First time to Chime and we had a great night, wish we had gone sooner. Already looking to book again and enjoy both the food but especially the cocktails.

Service, staff, and food, excellent. As a vegetarian I was delighted to find a good number of choices. It was a very cold slightly blustery day and although diagonally across the room from the door the cold rush of air every time it opened and rather slowly closed on, I guess, 'noiseless closing system' made it rather uncomfortable place to be seated. It was lunch time so quite a number of comings and goings. But everything else was very good indeed, would definitely go again but somewhere else on a cold day!

Lovely food, friendly service and good atmosphere. One of the items said it was served with boiled potatoes on the menu but actually came with mash which was a bit of a shame but as we were a large party and the restaurant was busy the individual didn't want the hassle of swapping it.

Excellent night at the chimes took visitors from Australia had a great time food was great ribs and chicken are well recommended can't wait to go again. Thank you.

Excellent service! Staff were very efficient and friendly on such a busy night! Food was beautiful and we were never left for a long period of time without the staff checking everything was ok! Will definately be visiting again

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff but very slow service. It was a Saturday afternoon so busy but we arrived for our reservation at 1315 & didn't finish until 1630! Will return but perhaps for drinks rather than a meal-the cocktails were divine!

Nice food & prompt service to meet our needs. Restaurant could have been tidier as food spilled on the floor by previous diners hadn't been cleaned up

Food and service very good. Seated at table by the entrance door and every time the door was opened cold air blasted in. Had to put my coat on to stay warm ... need to improve this!!

Lovely food, great service and a relaxed ambience. Only one small criticism, the lady that seated us sat us at a high table with bar stools next to the entrance door when other tables were empty and we had my 71 year old father with us. The lower table next to us was empty for 90 mins during our meal and then 2 young couples were seated there as we had a coffee. Didn't detract from our lovely meal though, but we did ask our dad if he could manage the higher chairs in front of her thinking she might suggest the other table! No worries though.Many thanks for a lovely meal.

Food was lovely. Menu was extensive. It was a bit nosy but we managed to hear each other. Service was great. Would recommend but not if you want a quiet meal!

I went with my cousin and we took our 2 children, the staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was heavenly. Very happy will go back again.

Fresh and tasty food with friendly and helpful service. Making changes and requests for example no avocado or is no problem for the staff. And the setting is of course very pleasant too.

Good food at a reasonable cost. Portions are a good size and a wide variety of dishes to choose from for all appetites and tastes

It was everything nice. We really enjoyed our time there. Everything was decorated for the occasion and food was served on time and was very tasty as well.

We arrived 10 minutes early for table which was booked for 1945. We sat and the bar and eventually we're sat at the table at 20.30 without even an apology. When we asked the manager replied "this is your table but this family hasn't finished as are taking longer than we thought" this was in front of said family who of course took even longer. By this point other tables were free but we kept being told no they are for other customers. Food was good and one waitress was really nice she was the only one doing anything she was taking orders and running round with food whilst the manager sat at the bar. I won't be going back and wouldn't recommend, the price is high for what you get food and service wise.

Food was lovely. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was efficient l. Would recommend booking in advance as struggled to get a table at short notice. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

We had pre ordered Chimes Own afternoon tea, and it was delicious and great value too. The service is faultless and it is a lovely atmosphere. We have already booked again for next weekend :-)

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely food! Serve great cocktails and amazing Salads (try the goats cheese salad with pine nuts). Would definitely recommend this wine bar.

Sharing platters (the meaty, or veggie) are recommended. Generous portions, so a platter we find can often suffice for two, or certainly skip a main.

Lovely local restaurant. Menu and Food was great and staff were very friendly and attentive. Today the service was very very slow which was a shame

On the whole a lovely meal. However I feel it is rather pricey for what you get and have eaten at places comparable for less.

Great food, great lunch menu. Service was good but a bit slow, we were there from 1pm and told they needed the table back at 3pm, by the time we got our drinks and food and had eaten it it was 2:30, we were asked if we would like to see the dessert board, which we really wanted to! But then told we didn't have enough time to order one as the table needed to back, which was because of their service time.

We had a lovely girly lunch at Chime, greeted with a smile on arrival and shown to our table, service and food was lovely, we will deffinately be going back in the future.

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch, attentive staff and did not feel rushed. Very relaxing ambience which made the occasion of visiting Chime special. Would recommend as a venue locally in Hartford

Place was very busy & service time reflected that. Food was really good as was the wine list. For us & the tables around us upstairs, the evening was spoilt by 6 very loud women who screamed & shouted all the time they were there. I guess the young staff upstairs felt unable to deal with this situation but there was clearly no back up. The acoustics upstairs didn't really cope with this. Pity really as this took the edge off our visit.

Good food and service. Eaten here many times and usually not been disappointed. Usually busy but manage to book successfully by booking on line, which is very useful .

Excellent service, staff and food, would definitely recommend a visit and will be going there again with the family, we had a table for 6 of us on a Sunday. Booking on line was easy also.

The food wasn't as good as we have had previously, the vegetables with the roast dinners was warm not hot, and we had to wait 45 minutes

Great experience and nice food. The table booked was not the one we would have liked and staff accommodated us and changed to a better table.

Out of soup at 12.30? No alternative, so not impressed with that. Nice table, and layout. Chips were fabulous, but the bread was thick. I know it is fashionable these days, but it is stodge I do not want.
