Excellent food, plenty of choice on menu, tempted by pizzas coming out of pizza oven but chose other things. Good choice of ales. Staff friendly and efficient.

Great food and service as always. Good choice of dishes at reasonable prices, and a comprehensive drinks menu. Love the atmosphere here, will visit again.

food was delicious as usual. Service was ok but a little bit slow on this occasion. They also wanted the table back for other diners so we had to move upstairs to finish our drinks. Would still return though.

Chime's roast dinner is the best hangover cure. The selection of real ales and great ambience is a winner for us. It's our new favourite place!

Lovely food and atmosphere. Only thing is the women's toilets are downstairs and this is annoying when in heels! But this is only a small matter.

The evening was lovely, felt a little rushed at first but then slowed down nicely, rib starter a little to big for a starter other than that all other food was lovely

Very good food and service was quick. Pizzas are delicious and are a little different to the usual menus. Nice coffee as well. A good place to meet for lunch .

Fantastic food the only problem was we were asked to leave the table for other diners coming in and we were not quite ready to leave at that point

Chime has Exceptional food, great service, and great background music. The atmosphere also is very good, Spotlessly clean, we would highly recommend, full credit to the kitchen and waiting on staff.

Great cooking. Soup was terrific, pizza one of the best Italian-style pizzas I've had in the UK. Someone at this restaurant knows what they're doing.

Great friendly helpful service-food made with very good fresh ingredients and extra care--warm lively atmosphere-- love the Moroccan feel decor around our upstairs table--My husbands pudding was a particular hit- amazing pastry and custard tart. A top notch place to dine. Would recommend ...;)

We are massive fans of Chime but our experience tonight left us feeling very dissapointed. We were met by a host who barely cracked a smile and took us to the bottom of the stairs and said go up and the waitress will show you to your table, we get to the top of the stairs and stood for 5 minutes whilst the waitress was serving another table. She then had no idea who we were or why we were stood there so then had to repeat everything said to the host again which felt awkward. The menu is not as good as before. I had crab linguine which was very gritty and the linguine over cooked rendering it almost inedible. I went to the toilets, the toilet itself was disgusting and there was toilet paper all over the floor, wall paper ripped, no hand wash and a broken hand dryer. When Chime first opened it was a special place but it feels as though there is complacency which has let it down. Decide for yourself but we will be giving it a miss for a while to give them opportunity to train the staff, improve the menu and smarten it up. A shame.

Struggling on such a busy day like father's day inadequate number of staff. No sausages at breakfast?? Put salt on my pancakes instead of sugar.

The staff are really attentive and pleasant and the food and drinks orders taken quickly. The food was delicious and nicely presented. It was however a Saturday night and very noisy so for a meal for 4 people upstairs we couldn't/t really talk to each other very easily.

Service and food was great and really good value for money. We were not rushed away from our early booking table and made together very welcome.

Great food and great service. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. One of the party did find a hair in his food, but it was quickly dealt with and he was given a free drink. All in all we had a nice meal.

Great food, lovely quiet atmosphere. The reason I scored a 5 and not 6 was that we had to ask for additional drinks and the desert took quite a while to come but will definitely go again and price was very reasonable.

Great food and great atmosphere. There is something for everyone on the menu - If you need gluten free bread then please ask, as the management have now stocked gluten free bread at the request of my friend who wanted a sandwich, but couldn't have bread. Very accommodating.

Constantly having to ask for more drinks and part of the food came out only lukewarm. Menu has changed again! And is very limited. Eaten here before had its been much better.

Another superb evening out at Chime. I took four girlfriends who'd never been before and we all had a lovely time. The menu was varied and we were spoilt for choice and when the food arrived it was delicious. The staff and service was as good as always. Well done Chime

Really disappointing evening, which is sad because the staff and decor all lovely but the food lets everything else down. The food was extremely salty and over priced for the quality. My friend ordered a fish dish but got chicken when asked why she was told that the fish was off the menu but nobody had checked what she wanted instead, The chicken was off the special board and was supposed to be Thai bbq with sticky rice but it was a mile away from the description and it was one chicken thigh for £15. Really wish the review could me more positive, sorry.

Lovely atmosphere and really good food. The food offers a good variety. Staff are really friendly and it's a bustling little place. We've eaten here a few times and never had a bad experience.

Absolutely terrible service, serving staff were standing in the till area eating & messing about all evening it was like a youth club. Our starter plates took almost 40 minutes to be cleared and we waited an hour for our mains (Wednesday evening!) which, by the time we got them were completely dried up, the rice accompanying the curry was rock hard. No check back during the meal & horror of horrors there was a snail in my meal! Absolutely disgusted! We were given £6 off the bill. Not enough to excuse the absolute shambles of a meal. Won't be back.

Over crowded, used too much cheese on cheesy food, food wasn't warm enough, wasn't worth the amount of money it was. My friend had the pizza and I tried abit and it was mainly cheese and hardly any tomato. Not the best.
