Chime - Hartford

Food was absolutely fantastic, one of the best curries I’ve had. Service was very attentive, if anything a little too so. Sometimes felt like we were being constantly watched by 3 or 4 members of staff, and felt like we were being rushed. This was probably as we went early on and restaurant was quiet. Will definitely be returning for the amazing food.

Good atmosphere, good service and we really enjoyed our food choices of pate, goats cheese tart, fish and chips and the chilli beef and noodles.

Beautiful building, extremely friendly staff and amazing food! Couldn’t get any better! Music needed turning down a little bit but apart from that, it was a perfect meal

Great meal, great service and we didn’t have to wait too long at all. Jjust a little cold in the restaurant so had to wear coats.

Great service, individual decor, rare cosy ambience and really good food at fair prices. What more could you want? I've had a brunch and a Sunday roast here and whenever I am in the area visiting my family I'll be tempted to return. A special time out of the rough and tumble of life.

It was our first time at Chime and we both really enjoyed it. The food and service was excellent and will definitely be going back there.

Lovely ambience. Very nice well cooked fresh food. Excellent service with very helpful and knowledgeable staff who had tasted all the food as it was a new menu and could answer any questions which is the sign of a good restaurant. I had Piri Piri chicken which was delicious, my friend had the curry which was very tasty and quite a decent portion. Only slight grumble was it was quite noisy on the night we were there however not at all the fault of the place, and you could argue added to the atmosphere.

We love Chime,the food is always tasty and very well presented. Great that they have special cocktails as well as their usual menu and the staff are attentive.

Busy with 2 hour time limit. Food and service was excellent. Lively atmosphere, very crowded downstairs. Would return and would like to try afternoon tea.

Food was very good ,freshly cooked and nicely presented. Service was excellent and the atmosphere lovely. The only downfall was it was a bit of a wait between courses, but we did not mind this.

A great evening with really good food. Staff are lovely. We ended up staying the entire evening, relaxed atmosphere in a really nice setting. Will definitely be eating here again.

Fabulous food, great atmosphere! There was a big delay with the food and we were given a discount without even asking, we weren't bothered as we were in good company, but what a lovely gesture :-)

Slow service and burgers were overcooked even arriving at 1200 hrs for lunch - food arrived at 1245 hrs. Previous visits were better service and quality.

First farthest day with our one week old daughter we had the set menu I had the most amazing steak I’ve ever had the 3 courses were amazing and great value

Mixed night. Booked for 600pm. Arrived and ordered starters and mains, my youngest sons main order being create your own pizza. Had drinks and at around 650 server arrived with ingredients for son to create pizza. Had to advise server we had not had any starters. Pizza went back to kitchen with apologies and then starters arrived after 700. The nachos starter my son asked for was huge, so much so he could barely eat his main course after he had created it. My eldest had ribs & wings main. He enjoyed the ribs but not the wings saying not much taste. My wife and I enjoyed our meals but they took a long time coming. Nervous new server perhaps took payment on the card machine, gave me my receipt and then walked off with my card. We booked to celebrate my wifes birthday. It was my first time visiting and not been fully put off, though kids (18 & 13) not keen. Will give it another try at somepoint with just my wife. For first visit though not the best,

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will be back. Had the prawns with chilli to start - delicious. For the main course the duck with noodles, but wish I had ordered the small portion as the average portion was too much, but really my fault.

Good food, great service & nice atmosphere. Our waitress Emma was excellent. Chime is a wonderful venue & a great addition to the Village, just what Hartford needed.

High fat , high salt menu. Had to leave half of my meal as my mouth was stinging with the salt content. Pointed this out to staff but was not offered an alternative. My guests also found their meal over salted and unpleasant. A disappointing meal all round.

Had the Sunday lunch, which was fantastic. Gravy was something else. Also want to mention that the service was great. Very attentive server and the guys couldn’t do enough. Will definitely be back.

Chime is a great restaurant with lovely fresh food butbon this occasion we were disappoointed. We did make it known to the waiter we weren't happy with the food and we were given a discount off the bill. This was ok but as we had hardly eaten anything I would have expected a little more. We will be back though.

Always love visiting chime the food is great, it's a lovely atmosphere and It is all very reasonably priced so we visit very often! I would always recommend chime to friends and family!

Lovely village restaurant, birthday lunch for boys. Great pizzas, huge portions, went down a treat. Quick service and lovely relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back soon.

Great service, great food, just a bit too much food on the American afternoon tea but it was all lovely 😃 Loved the milk shake .

This is my favourite place to go for a Sunday roast. The beef in particular with giant Yorkshire pudding, meat, potatoes and veg stacked with gravy on top. The portion is just right and the quality is excellent. There's a also good selection of beers and wines and the pizzas they make in the pizza oven are deliciously fresh.

Staff were really friendly and attentive,and the food was delicious. I had the burger which was really tasty and had it with salt and pepper fries which were lovely. Chime cocktails are also amazing and loads to choose from. Overall really enjoyed our evening and will be going back again

Excellent food but although we had requested a table upstairs we felt as if we were in a staff meeting; perhaps we should have been asked if we would have liked to have moved elsewhere. Nonetheless can't fault the food as usual.

We needed a pre-cinema meal that would take just an hour. Chimes did the trick. Good variety, good quality, attentive and pleasant service, and with a starter glass of house wine which exceeded expectations. It's an old expression that you can judge a good restaurant on the quality of its house wine and here it was certainly true.

Excellent pizza and dessert plus extremely pleasant coffee in a buzzing environment. Attentive and helpful staff were the icing on the cake. Only downside was that the cask ale was a little too warm.

Good food (the pizzas were great, really thin based and nice toppings) and good friendly service. Overall a really nice quick lunch, just what we wanted!
