Lovely venue our table was lovely and the food was good - had to keep getting up and going over to staff to request things - spoon for soup, coffees took 20 mins to come so had to chase and to ask for the bill - staff were lovely but chatting at the bar which was a shame- would definitely go again though

Excellent service by all of the staff. This is a really nice place to eat and the food was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend Chadwicks to anyone.

Lovely setting, great 'mine host'! Excellent menu choices (we ate at lunchtime) and the food was amazing (check out the burger!). Service could have been a tad quicker, and a couple of items temporarily forgotten, but soooo well worth the wait. Looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic place, the Sunday dinner was one of the best I’ve had and the lamb was cooked to perfection! Fairly priced too, can’t wait to return

It is a place we love going to as the food is always excellent. Had Sunday lunch and the butternut squash soup to start was delicious. Will be returning soon.

As always Chadwicks was warm & welcoming, staff attentive but not too much so, food was lovely would highly recommend the Venison & Salted Caramel custard tart.

Lovely atmosphere great food and service. Recommend the Crab starter and the cheesecake. Been twice recently and the standard of food is up there with the best.

Lovely food, great atmosphere, staff very friendly. We had steak special and a starter from the main menu which was superb. Mussels in a curry sauce with crab cake on top.

Very relaxing surroundings with alot of space between tables so good for private conversations. Beautiful Michelin style prepared food. Halibut was exceptional! Great Lamb main and sharing desert , avoid the goats cheese starter 90% potato . Service pretty good overall . Nice to go for a special occasion.

Had the set dinner menu which was very good. I would recommend Chadwicks Inn, not the cheapest but good food well cooked and good service.

Had the set menu and all courses were excellent. The staff were also great, giving us enough time to enjoy the meal and not being rushed.

The Menu was a little short on choice for myself and friends. The food was very tasty and the service was attentive without being overbearing.

This was our first time here and we had heard wonderful things. We were booked for lunch at 12:30pm and arrived on time, we ordered from the classics for a fish and chips and a beef burger. The food took over 40 mins to arrive despite there only being two occupied tables in the restaurant and we were not spoken to by the waiting staff during this wait. When the food came the fish was lovely but the burger was dry and tasteless. The service was not consistent with the other occupied table being checked on by staff but not ourselves. I really had high hopes of this place but am not sure I will return.

Sunday lunch was fantastic as always. The beef was rare the roasties were perfect, plenty of veg and a nice glass of Pinot Noir to wash it down with!

Lovely food but expensive as it doesn’t include sides and you need them. Service was ok, but a bit slow. Choice of starters was poor, mainly fish so not good if you are not a fan of seafood.

Excellent professional friendly service, evening menu has restricted choice but well balanced selection, food was 5 star quality. Brilliant evening somewhere we will definitely use again.

Food really nice but service was so so slow. Waited ages before starter and before main, no bread, wanted to order dessert but after waiting again a very long time to order , we just decided to leave.

Lamb was served pink so I expected top quality but quite tough and sinewy. Gave feedback to waitress in restaurant but no response from manager.

Delicious Sunday lunch with the family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great service, attentive but not fussy or rushed. We will definitely be going back!

Beautiful food, lovely service, just so hot and stuffy. Terrine starter was excellent, cod loin just amazing, and chunky chips, whilst not chunky, were very tasty.

Excellent food and nicely presented. Good ambience in serenely decorated old pub. Very nice flavours and out of the ordinary combinations made for a satisfying and enjoyable meal. At these premium prices one might have expected more knowledge of the dishes from serving staff . No excuse for not knowing beef dish from lamb dish and their respective accompaniments. But they were cheerful and pleasant and unobtrusive. Will return and can recommend.
