Cattle & Cocktail

A lovely evening at Cattle and Cocktail - attentive service and delicious service. Only complaint would be that it's quite noisy, but that did not take away from our enjoyment too much. Will definitely return.

Although our main course was nice - the starter (calamari) was terrible. Also, small point, but when I asked the waitress to hang my coat up somewhere - she said there was nowhere to hang it! All a bit disappointing, as we had gone with high expectations.

Lovely venue, fantastic food. The service could have been better and the place was really cold, especially the ladies. I would however, definitely go again as every business has "teething problems" when they have just opened. My steak was cooked to perfection and I can't wait to try the cocktails when I am not having a work lunch.

New restaurant in Oxted. Very modern, contemporary décor. Limited menu, but something for the vegetarian, fish or meat lover. I ordered the 250g fillet steak, but they had run out, so I was offered the 350g at the same price as the 250g. I have to say, it was probably the best fillet steak I have ever had, washed down with a nice bottle of Italian red!

A really nice new restaurant in Oxted High Street. The décor is lovely. Food was good. It was their first day open and they did really well. Will be back

Nice new venue, with good quality food. Only negative was the waitress didn't know which steak was which when she brought the food order, which to be fair, looked very similar but one was 250g and one a 350g.

Six of us went along to our first taste of Cattle and Cocktail on Friday night - none of us like the name of the restaurant but we wanted to try it out as it's brand spanking new! Lovely ambiance, excellent décor, very helpful staff but didn't like the pulsating loud music. Obviously you are looking for a young clientele and I'm sure it will be a success on that basis as we can't have too many restaurants in Oxted. The rib eye steaks were delicious (3 of our party had this) and the half lobster (2 had this) were beautifully cooked and presented. The sirloin was chewy and rather disappointing. Most of us had a cocktail and they were all OK. We will probably try the lunch as it should be much quieter then, much too noisy on Friday as we love to chat during our dinner, not shout!

Lovely atmosphere great cocktails and nice food, service was a bit slow for main course but put that down to teething problems we are going back next week and definitely want to support this new Oxted business.

food was lovely and really tasty. The waitresses were all very friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere too so we will definitely be going back in the future.

Slightly disappointed with the selection of meals. The King Prawn starter was tasteless and the scallops were overcooked. The main meals were very good. Music was a little bit to loud otherwise the presentation of the restaurant was very good. Cloakrooms in our opinion should be totally separate.

Loved the restaurant atmosphere - staff eager to please - food disappointing but most definitely will go back - put the food down to opening weekend and hope it will get better

Really enjoyed our meal on Saturday night, the food was excellent and staff very friendly. I would definitely visit again- my only constructive criticism would be that the needed more staff for the amount of tables. As they were rushing around for table to table, and you could be kept waiting for drinks/the bill - we would have stayed for an extra drink and possibly dessert if the service was quicker. However it was busy and I throughly enjoyed my evening.

A very tasty meal in good surroundings. Helpful staff. Brightly lit and very good cocktails. Well worth a visit but make sure to book in advance.

Had a lovely time for my birthday with family. Great food! The steak was very tender and delicious and the cocktails we're divine! Good times!

Back again after a 3 month break and things are getting better and better. Improved waitress service and another lovely rump steak with plenty of fries! My friend had the salmon salad, said it was top drawer! Good Italian wine @ £17, all in all, a great and tasty lunch for around £35.

Had a lovely meal and nice dining experience for mine and my boyfriend's 3 year anniversary, had better steaks but still lovely. Would recommend. x

Amazing food, excellent service, an amazing dinner and a lovely evening. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and so were the cocktails. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food. The stake and the burgers were particularly good, the salmon I probably wouldn't order again (the carrot mash was slightly crunchy and over salted). We waited quite a bit for our mains but that was offset by the lovely cocktails - a nice, indulgent treat. Altogether, a good mid-week experience. I'd definitely visit again.

It was a special treat for my birthday. We were made very welcome by all the staff. Lovely meal. Will be going again. Lovely atmosphere.

Had a fantastic lunch today with my daughter, and cocktails Food was amazing and the service was quick. Will definitely be going back very soon.

Apart from one very poor piece of meat full of gristle which you credited 50% of the cost it was a good experience. we would return again.

Quality of food was great, definitely worth the money. Excellent service too, not too fast or too slow. Would visit again. Only annoying thing was only one female and one male toilet so had to queue to go.

Girls night out for half price steak night - steaks were delicious and everyone had a great night. Would recommend for everyone, particularly on discount nights

Absolutely delicious birthday treat - burger and lobster night meant that a whole lobster with fries came in at a very reasonable price. Would recommend again

Beautiful food, wonderful service just a bit loud but overall a lovely night out! The price was reasonable and the decor was very stylish would defo recommend to friends and family

The waitress was awesome and its annoying as this place could be great. Had slidets to start and they were great except completely unseasoned. The steaks were flavourless. Sent the fillet back as it was stone cold and the same reheated steak returned. Rare should not be cold! Plates were cold and the creamed spinach can only be described as green slop. Sorry. Wish I could report good things but the best things about this place were the chips snd the service.

Service was good,food very nice. Fairly noisy but that is to be expected with a buisy restaurant. A bit on the expensive side but will return in the future.

Went on a burger and lobsters night, staff were excellent, cocktails were superbly made, one small hiccup with the food which they rectified straight away. Would definitely recommend and go back. Again great staff, good atmosphere and nicely decorated.

This is the third time I have been to the Cattle & Cocktail and I will be going back, very good food, very good service. The staff are really friendly and it has a happy atmosphere.

The cocktails were delicious and on offer 2 for £10 between 5-7pm. The food was great, I recommend the sliders to start, the steak was cooked to perfection and is 50 percent off on Tuesday. Our server Danielle, was polite and inntentive, great service - overall a fab place to dine.

Great food and atmosphere service was really good until the end of our meal and shame that they let the lady next to us vap in the restaurant but other than that great restaurant.
