Superb food and great value for money. The best Caesar salad I have ever had with all ingredients so beautifully fresh. Will most definitely recommend to friends and family.

Another Fantastic night and Cattle and Cocktail. Both food and service were lovely and the steak was spot on. The cocktails are too nice. The staff really do their best to make sure you are happy.

Good service. Nice ambience. The food was good and the amends to the dishes were catered for well. Good addition to the locale and will definitely be returning.

The Pros: Food great. Staff very attentive The Con: A very cold breeze blew through the restaurant every time the door was opened. The bar was also stacked high with dirty glasses all night Its not a good look.

It was our second visit. The food was delicious and this time the side dishes arrived on time. The waitresses were lovely, less stressed out than the previous time, they really made us feel well looked after. A couple of things are still in the "area for improvement" department: 1) The restaurant was cold when we got in, the seats (leather like) take a long time to get warm so it might be a good idea to warm the place a little before opening ? 2) The toilet was immaculate but the lid of the toilet kept closing on me, perhaps it was badly installed or adjusted and again, the toilet was very cold, no heating at all. Apart from that, a much more enjoyable visit than the first one for sure. Well done!

Was really looking forward to visiting Cattle and Cocktails, but we were really disappointed. It was over-priced for what it was, for example £7.95 for a jumbo prawn starter.... three prawns very slightly bigger than normal king prawns. The mac&cheese was incredible granted, but everything else was average. Even the chips looked and tasted like frozen rather than home made which for steak restaurant charging London prices is unacceptable. One of the party had a table booked the following evening (under Emma) and needless to say she cancelled and we do not indeed to go again.

Good steak although wine list very marked up. Service very good tho. All in all was happy with experience and would go again as is definitely fairly unique in oxted area

Overall, very good. The service friendly and efficient and steaks well cooked. It helped that it was half price steak night. I thought that the desert menu could have been more ambitious, but we were generally favourably impressed and would go again.

Had a very pleasant relaxing meal here. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite quiet. Service was good and food was very good too.

We Loved it. The food and drinks were good and staff nice too loved the ambiance. We had a lovely evening and would go back.

Great Place, service a bit slow to start but once it started no complaints. Food was excellent, steaks slightly better cooked than we requested but again only a marginal thing. We would recommend it.

Steak was grey and overlooked, service was bearable however should be a lot better. Simple things like take customers coats when they enter the restaurant rather having to drap across the back of your chair would be one step in the right direction. Serving all the food at the same time, having some understanding of how to serve wine, picking staff that have little or no experience may help the botttom line which seems to be a common theme - cutting corner - you want to charge a premium so provide good quality food and service. Serving rozen bread rolls is a good example.

All food was delicious and waitress very helpful re dietary requirements. Would like to have given an excellent rating, however due to a communication breakdown between waitress and kitchen 2 starters weren't served until others had finished.

We had a nice evening but the Lobster Thermidor was very little lobster and a plate full of pasta! They need to look at that it's not a cheap dish Staff very helpful everything was great except the main dish.

A good local restaurant but nothing special. I would go again, certainly worth giving it another chance. Could do with a little more choice on the menu.

My starter was tasteless & the main course not much better. The service was good, but it was extremely noisy with people having to shout over loud music. Fine for a club, but not dinner with friends where you are trying to chat. Would not go back.

Nothing bad , just ok but thought very expensive for the standard, the lobster was quite dry and the bill was £200 for 4 with very little drinks an only 2 courses. Probably would not go again.Prefer Cucina

The whole evening was fabulous, the reason why I'm not rating the experience a 6, is because the tables are quite close together, so did feel that the other diners were sitting on top of you.

Visited on Monday for our daughters birthday, lovely staff and lovely food, overall experience was great. Will most definitely return in the near future .Rick from Croydon

Amazing cocktails and food ! Great place ,I had the lobster and squid to start ,both tasted great. The restaurant looks very cool and had a good atmosphere. Would recommend

First time visit and was not impressed. On walking in after looking forward all day to going there, the decor of the restaurant is really good. We sat down and service of young girl was good. Drink bought and food ordered, starters came and they were good. 3 out of 4 of us ordered Fillet steak which when put in front of us looked ok. Apart from the waitress mixing up two of the steaks and then realising when cutting in to them they had the wrong ones. In fact all 3 Fillet steaks were not cooked to the request of ourselves. The meat was dry, overcooked from what we wanted. I have had many a steak and would class the quality of the steak as with a cheaper version restaurant and not from a restaurant that has steak as their main feature which is connected with a local butcher. We did mention it to the staff who said they would recook the steaks but it then meant that the 4 of us would not be eaten together so we declined. The creamy spinach was not creamy at all and looked like a babies meal that had been liquidised. Such a shame as the restaurant is just what is needed but for a restaurant that is a steak restaurant, they need to have good steak and a chef that knows how to cook the steak to the customers request.

Friday Lunchtime & Good value, good service...friendly atmosphere. There is a good lunchtime menu and there was a good attendance, like the mocktails for us drivers!

Great food, drinks and service with a vibrant atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the prawns, big and juicy. Also good value for money in my opinion

We had a lovely meal here - great service, even though it was very busy, and a nice table for 6. I had heard mixed reviews about the restaurant, especially that the cocktails taking a long time to be served, but we didn't find that to be the case. My only criticism would be about the half lobster which I had as a main course was a complete rip off! There was hardly any flesh on it at all. But the other 5 people I was with all enjoyed their meals and although it was expensive, it was what we would usually expect to pay in a restaurant of that standard. I would definitely recommend!

A great place to go, the interior is fashionable and modern, the staff are very professional and friendly. The food was excellent. A great experience!

Fabulous restaurant! We were welcomed with excellent service, the waitress made us aware of the offers available to us - 2 for £10 cocktails before 7 o'clock & 50% off steak on a Monday eve. We had scallops & the prawn dishes to start whichvwas beautifylly presented. We all had steak which was cooked to our individual taste and delicious. The green beans came in garlic which I would recommend. We will definitely return!

Beautifully cooked steaks and great cocktails ! - The experience at cattle and cocktail is fantastic from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. I personally love the sliders and fillet steak!!!

Very nicely fitted out restaurant, albeit a little cool. Starters (scallops and squid) were excellent. Took advantage of Monday special - 50% off steak. Fillet was excellent, rib eye rather chewy. Pleasant staff. A decent addition to the Oxted dining scene.

Good atmosphere, refreshing menu. Good service. Menu is specialist and seems that all dishes are carefully prepared. Portion sizes were ample. Beer selection a little thin

The steaks were really good and so were the cocktails. The scallop starter could have been a bit more generous for the price. unfortunately the ice cream was the best and that with cramped seating is what has pulled the overall review down.

Initial Reception and cocktail menu were slow. However excellent waiter with good knowledge of gluten free. He saved the day and with excellent food we'll certainly return.

Good food. Smart looking venue. Service could've been a little bit better. Maybe don't start tidying up while you still have customers that would like serving. But other than that good. We'd go again.

This is the second time we have been to Cattle and Cocktail. The first time was a lot better. We ordered the same thing but it didn't quite taste as nice this time. However, lovely places to eat, lovely atmosphere and great service.

Our first visit to Cattle & Cocktail. Firstly - the name is ugly! Our lobster linguine was sadly lacking. For example, described as "with cherry tomatoes", my portion contained just one, albeit in 2 halves! The lobster was sparse & chewy. Our neighbouring table was served the wrong steaks. When the correct order was delivered, they were incorrectly cooked and the fries were forgotten - & not asked for - until their meal was virtually over. The 'service' was willing enough, just not up to much. There were very few tables occupied but then it was midweek but we found it lacking in atmosphere. Pity!

Food was tasty, though my rare steak was a little over. Staff seemed a little preoccupied with a more demanding table. Restaurant temperature felt really cold (esp for a visit on January.

Arrived and taken to table by the waitress to then find people were still dining. Sat back down in the bar area for a drink. Waitress came to take our order but we weren't quite ready so she said she would come back. 15 minutes later we went in search of her. All the party (4 of us) found the food disappointing covering the whole mix of quantity, presentation style and quality. Whilst we were one of the older groups of people there, we probably showed our age in that the background music was a continuous deep base, pretty loud which impaired conversation a bit. We finished our bottle of wine and after 10-15 minutes had to call the waitress over to ask for another bottle, same with the bottled water. We were the last people in the dining section (others were in the bar area) by about 10.45-11.00pm and when asked we confirmed we didn't need anything else. Shortly after she presented the bill to us. Another few minutes went by and then she came over with the card machine, not at our prompting. I hadn't realised they closed at 11pm on a Saturday which seems a little strange when compared to other local restaurants. In fairness we are probably not the core customer group they are looking for as most people were in their late 20's to 40 and we're in our 50's (but young at heart!) but to be honest I'm not clear what type of customer experience they are aiming at.

Good food, nice staff and delicious cocktails in a good environment, only downside is the bar area is small so if you're looking to go for drinks before dinner it could get very crowded.

We went for a celebratory anniversary meal this summer, Had a pleasant evening. The food was good as well as the service, although the restaurant began filling up soon after we arrived. A nice place local to home
