Enjoyed the food and the drinks, amazing service, friendly staff and lovely location. Will definitely be returning soon. Would recommend to everyone to visit it
A lovely restaurant. Food was great. The staff seemed a little nervous (no idea why!?). Lots of hen parties so the noise was a little loud but didn't spoil our visit
The food was excellent and well served but the restaurant environment was a tab old fashioned and didn't reflect well on the food. Given its billing as a champagne bar, it white Star history and its location so much more could have been done with the views and the windows. Overall disappointing except the quality of the food which was excellent
Visited on bonfire night for lunch and to watch the fireworks from the roof terrace, Stunning venue and lovely food. Would highly recommend. We are looking forward to returning.
We waited more than an hour for our main courses, as we did not have starters we were very hungry. The steak meals were OK however my calves' liver was just awful, very sinewy and badly cooked i.e not a trace of caramelisation, it was pink but really nasty, dry and tasteless it was not worth complaining about I just left it. The restaurant itself is quite tired with some of the tables in urgent need of replacement - it was in no way luxurious or special, we did not eat there again.
Great food , when delivered correctly. Nice bustling atmosphere but for me totally ruined by a hen party of 20 singing and generally causing a ruckus. We were sat 20minutes later than expected but that’s usual for a Saturday evening in most restaurants. This place has the potential to be quite incredible if they’d just look after the couples better - and maybe ban the hen parties.
This was the first time we'd been to this restaurant, but turned out to be a fantastic evening for my wife's birthday. Champagne as ordered on table for when we arrived, with the added bonus of strawberrys and very tasteful table decorations. Special thanks to our waiter, who was really great, he got everything spot on. The live music was just right also. The food we ordered was superb (mushroom soup starter for both of us, and for mains -chicken for my wife and red mullet for myself) again supurb. Wasn't sure about sweet, as by this time feeling quite full, but the decision was made easy for us, as out came a lovely piece of birthday cheesecake (with a candle) to share. A great end to a great night.
This is an interesting restaurant, food was generally good but all the diners of our party of 5, were disappointed with the under cooked vegetables a great disappointment. The front of house service reception and waiting staff were excellent.
Excellent food, attentive friendly staff, lovely location. Would be nice to have a better wine selection, as the list is very limited, great view over the city
If the manager is there things go smoothly. Delays in a couple of aspects. excellent cooking and food was worth the price.drinks were good as well
Nice ambiance to restaurant, terrace is an added bonus for after dinner cocktails, value for money pricing and desserts to die for with attentive and helpful staff
Good atmosphere and views. Service was effecient. We had the table d'hote menu which was good value. Had some of the choices from the a la carte menu. Food was well cooked and nicely presented. Wine list had a reasonable selection and prices.
Excellent location for our anniversary meal. The food was fresh and well presented. Service was very efficient and was not rushed. A good selection of food on offer and excellent advice from our waiter on the cooking style of our choice of meats. Also a good atmosphere added to by the live music which wasn't overly loud. Overall a great place for fine dining
Excellent food and service. Not rushed and we were given plenty of time between courses, so that dessert became a necessity rather than being passed over.
Good food, only criticism is that the food wasn't very hot Staff were friendly in the restaurant but the concierge in the hotel lobby wasn't
Lovely atmosphere, brilliant food and attentive staff. The male vocalist was a little loud when he came on but other than that great value for money!
Absolutely delicious food this was a visit for our anniversary and it did not disappoint the staff were attentive without being overbearing . Great atmosphere 3 course with wine and a cocktail for £100
Lovely setting and delicious food. Singer was excellent. Portions on the small side. Staff friendly. Service could have been quicker. Bit overpriced. Enjoyable evening in an interesting setting. Good view of Liver birds and sunset.
Booked for first wedding anniversary. Attached this information when booked. Food was lovely but given a bad table and no complimentary drinks. A disappointing experience
Not quite what I was expecting. I thought we would be having an evening of fine dining and sophistication. The beautiful dining room was mainly full of hen parties and a singer was bought in to entertain us at 9.00pm. Having said all that, the girls in the hen parties were extremely well behaved, if a little loud at times and the singer was great. It was just not what I was expecting. The service in the restaurant was very good, but again not quite as attentive as 1 would have expected, the food, whilst tasty was not warm enough, perhaps as the large hen parties were taking priority. I think perhaps this restaurant is aiming at the market for a Saturday night in Liverpool and they cannot be blamed for that. We had a great evening but I'm not sure that I would return.
Delicious meal and excellent service from Alfredo. We all had different dishes and everything was perfect. Lovely setting too. Our first time in Liverpool and we appreciated the views.
The food is excellent and service was perfect. The only reason I did not give a 6 is that you are no longer allowed outside to enjoy the view unless you smoke. Which does not seem fair to me and was highly disapointing as the weather was so nice.
Very nice looking restaurant ,with amazing views of the skyline over Liverpool. First class is supposed to be offered but unfortunately we didn't get this service. The food served was very good and for that alone I would return.
Fantastic restaurant with gorgeous food, attentive staff and amazing views of the city. What more could you want. Went for our anniversary stay and had afternoon tea, plenty of sandwiches and lovely cakes. Also we had an evening meal which was delicious and then breakfast in the morning which is a buffet style. Full English, pastries, fruit, cereal. Perfect!
Good was ok, starter was really nice but main was a bit bland. Place was well located. Vegetarian options were a little limited but that is the same for a lot of restaurants. To many hen parties though.
Alright... nothing gourmet about the place. It's a little bit lost between a real nice a la crate restaurant and a comfort grill house. Needs to make its mind up what it is.
Absolutely loved the carpathia restaurant, food was excellent and lovely relaxing vibe. Only thing I would point out is that staff explain the menu a lot better to guests
Lovely, helpful, friendly staff. The service was perfect and food quality good, nice restaurant Nothing was too much! We enjoyed our dinner absolutely! The view is wonderful!
We had an excellent meal, the service was superb and we had a most enjoyable evening altogether with cocktails to finish, we will definitely go there again
Delicious food and excellent service, given a free glass of prosecco on arrival. The views of the city are fantastic as well. Would definitely recommend the restaurant.
Excellent service, nice environment but very average food. We had the 'date night special', two courses with free bottle of wine, at £60 not expensive but not a bargain price. Steak tough, starters poor.
Meal was ok they wouldn't let me go out onto the balcony for a ciggy who wants to go down 7 floors for a smoke when there's a balcony there that's meant to be to have a smoke on
Food was great really enjoyed the night here for my husbands birthday. Staff were friendly and helpful and very lovely setting. Will defo return here
Very overpriced. Food we ordered was just dry chicken with some boiled potatoes dressed up. Drinks were nice we, remains exceptionally overpriced. Probably wouldn't return.
Everything about this place was perfect. I will now be returning every anniversary thanks to your special touches and perfect service and facilities. Thank you.
Came here expecting fine dining, luxury cocktails and tasty food. We received none of this! Food was bland, cocktails mediocre and all together everything was very overpriced! The waitress had no knowledge of the menu, when we asked what was available she only gave us a very small selection to choose from saying that they had nothing in stock, then when we requested a cocktail menu it came to our attention that there was a large variety of drinks and the waitress used the excuse that they were out of stock, we then asked another waiter and he brought the drink straight over... weird!
Felt we were rushed. Portions sizes extremely small.. So disappointed balcony closed, even to the customer dining in there.. Sat facing a brick wall. 😒
Visiting my daughter in Liverpool i chose to take my daughter and mother here as it sounded lovely everyone was polite but the food and service where slow to appear with food we ordered not arriving at all. Considering the prices I expected a good level of service so very disappointed, however after speaking to the manager we we're given a discount and complimentary drinks on the terrace and an apollagy, so would visit again to see if it has improved.
Great restaurant with superb atmosphere. The food was perfect with a fab range on the menu and the staff couldn't be more attentive or helpful. Highly recommended
The food was great, service fine, there was a relaxed atmosphere. Although the restaurant was very busy with 3 tables at a hen do. Visited Saturday night
Lovely bread but main course Bouillabaisse was awful, no flavour whatsoever. Other guests food was described as ok. We were also moved from our table whilst 2out of 3 of our party were at the ladies. Not a good experience.
The chef cooked the seafood close to perfection as part of a delicious lunch. We also enjoyed very good service by the helpful staff in interesting surroundings.
Terrible experience. Pre dinner drinks were a disaster with very poor service and lack of choice. No tomato juice for a Bloody Mary for instance. I had to return my steak which was not cooked as requested. The free prosecco was initially refused on the basis it stopped at 7.00pm. They should read their own web site. It states until 9.00pm. The whole place falls very short of a fine dining restaurant. It completely spoilt my anniversary dinner with my wife. I will not be going again and will recommend to others to give it a miss when in Liverpool.
Booked for my husbands birthday, a Sunday evening. His starter was awful and he left it. Very slow between courses. Asked for a desert menu and after 20 mins we had still not received it so paid the bill and left. We would not return again.
Our table was booked for 8.45pm but we were only seated at 9.15pm. The restaurant was packed with 3 or 4 hen parties. This did make for a lively atmosphere but made conversation at regular levels pretty difficult. The food was very good, as was the entertainment. I think I would prefer to go on a Friday evening for my next visit rather than a hectic Saturday evening!
Our waitress was extremely helpful and attentive, making our visit just perfect. The food was excellent and all diets (Gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc) are catered for.
Fabulous meal and experience at Carpathia. I would highly recommend and cannot wait to return , the staff were very attentive and nothing was to much trouble.
Food was good. Atmosphere very nice. Service was good. The desserts were awesome & we had several of the small plates to share & was very nice. Good variety. I would definitely go back there.
The food was great. We did not have to wait long for every course. The service was very smooth and gentle and certainly not pushy. A perfect evening!
Excellent food, ambience & service, especially from Giuseppe. A small complaint was dealt with quickly, apologetically & without fuss. We were treated as friends rather than just being customers.
