Canteen and Cocktails has fantastic cocktails, a great atmosphere and excellent food. We had a brilliant night out at this venue and will definitely return.

Best Sunday roast ever ,the beef brisket was the best I've eaten and there was plenty to go round the four of us ,plenty of veg and tasty gravy ,Realy looking forward to eating there again .

Great food very large portions. The ribs were huge and fell off the bone. Service could of been better came to take order without us even seeing a menu.

The food was delicious but service quite slow in taking our order even though it was fairly quiet. Initially disappointed with the table offered considering we had a made a reservation but were moved upon request. Would visit again.

Excellent as always! Food, drinks and service all fabulous! I've tried almost all of the food menu on various visits and I'm always more than happy can't recommend it enough 😊

Heard great reviews off friends so decided to book for our anniversary, and we weren't disappointed. Fab food fab drinks fab atmosphere. Would definitely return to sample more off the menus.

Food was lovely, service was good, however one of our meals was wrong but that was sorted very quickly, will definitely be visiting again soon

The Sunday dinner we had when we went was brilliant! You got plenty and the staff were really helpful and friendly I would recommend! Will be going back

Quick service, friendly staff, amazing food, amazing atmosphere, overall wonderful experience we WILL be back. You feel welcomed and are really well looked after nothing is too much to ask! Thank you for a wonderful Sunday dinner 😀😀😀

A lot of staff around,yet took 20-30 min to come and take order! Service could do with a little more training as everything else was really good

Food was great as always. Service and atmosphere good too. We did however have an issue with the fact that they sat us on a table 3 foot from the toilet doors. They have added a number of 2/3 seater tables but just stuffed them in random places. I did complain about it and but all the could offer us was the next table, 5ft from the toilets. Please remove those tables. Awful positioning.

Food was very nice but service let it down alot. I have emailed a complaint aswell since our reservation on the 29th July but no reply to date. We had finished our meal and we're enjoying another drink when a waitress dropped a dish of sauce behind us. This went all over my husbands white shirt and down my leg. The staff just cleaned the floor and ignored us so I had to get tissues out of my bag and my husband had to go the the bathroom and try and clean it off his shirt!! A simple apology and the offer of something to clean ourselves with would of been helpful instead of just looking at us and they walking with embarrassment. I was going to complain why we were there but didn't want you spoil our night and to be honest one member of staff who was always walking around looking at the tables etc didnt even crack a smile the whole time we were there so I doubt I would of got much help from her anyway.

Service was fantastic and the food was gorgeous, would highly recommend.

Arrived at restaurant in plenty of time, and shown to seat without delay. Only problem we encountered, once we had ordered our drinks we were informed that they had run out of meat for the Sunday dinner. We only went for the Sunday dinner. Ended up having cheese burgers instead - which were delicious.

Sunday lunch was very tasty although sitting on same table as strangers is not everyone's cup of tea service was good never got rushed like some venues do at busy periods .

Food good ,Went for sunday dinner with family ,had a table upstairs near the bar only comment bar staff when making drinks throwing empty bottles into bin making loud crashing sound.b Ok for night time but not for sunday dinnertime ?

Gorgeous food plenty for your money and really tasty, friendly and approachable staff although organisation could Improve waited 35 minutes for a pre booked table.

The food was great, however not exactly budget cost. The food came out within 10/15 minutes and was nice and hot. I had the "smoker" beef brisket. Ive had it before and it was just as good this time. It came out on a wooden platter this time and this serving option was clearly too big for the sliver of table we had between us, i worried the platter would end up on my lap at least once. I also ordered fries (you have to order fries/salad etc as a side or extra otherwise its just meat on a plate) which whilst the chips tasted really good were tiny and extremely thin. I could not use my fork to eat them as they broke when i tried. All in all the service was good, even though they were extremely busy and had a large party covering over three tables celebrating too. The open plan makes an intimate or romantic meal a "no go" for here but we were ok in the corner. Though we later shared our table with other diners, so it was a social rather than intimate dinning experience. The staff came over frequently to check we were happy and our drinks continual and the service and chat was great.... Until it came to paying.. The waitress, as polite and extremely pleasant as she was, couldnt get a signal with the pay machine.. After a painful 12 minutes of constantly replacing my card in the machine, me adding my pin, then me waiting for it back she eventually wandered off, with my card(!), for a further 15 minutes out of sight. She finally returned to say she had had to completely restart the pay machine.. I have never had my card taken and worse still, be out of sight, post pin entry, with no conversation to offer my card back first! I was not happy and the communication re this, it was bad. I did feel for the staff though as the technology they are expected to use is clearly not up to the volume of service or standard of business they portray. Shame as i really enjoyed my meat and the drinks. If i do go again at some point later this year ill be taking cash and going during the day. Last time i was a lunch visitor and had a much better experience.

Booked a table for a family meal. Service very poor. Order was incorrectly written down by waitress, I corrected her at the time and ensured she had ordered the correct meals, she assured me she had however x2 incorrect meals were brought to the table. Very little apology given. We had to wait whilst they changed the order so some of us are whilst others waited. Final bill was wrong and overcharged as they had included the incorrect meals and charged us more. When we informed the manager of these mistakes he replied that it was because they were busy, no sincere apology given. Food delicious but our evening was ruined by very poor service and poor attitude of staff.

Lovely staff and lovely food. We ordered cocktails. And wine and desert. All were served promptly. Not a bad price for a 3 course meal for 2.

service was great everyone was happy and smiling food was 10/10 and was presented well and came very quickly all in all was the best place I have been to so far.

I thought the food was good, however the service was very poor. Felt forgotten about as it took over an hour for our meal and over 15 minutes for first drinks to even arrive. Admittedly it was a little busy at the bar area but surely there is still waiters that are there to cater for the people who are having a meal etc. I would go again to give it another chance but f the service remains the same then I would not think twice about never going back

The cocktails were not great but the food was delicious. The tortilla chips were homemade and the sauces were fresh. The salmon was a little overcooked but tasty.

This place is wonderful! They catered to my many food intolerances, where many restaurants struggle and the food was really tasty! Service was also brilliant. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food was excellent but experience spoilt by a group of people doing a pub crawl! I think after 6 people who wish to eat should be seated upstairs! I've never eaten so fast, just to get out of there!

Can't rate this enough. Lovely place, great atmosphere, lush food, gorgeous cocktails, happy and helpful staff. It was my first visit and I will return.

Staff fantastic food fantastic great portions. Over all experience was good. One problem was seating. 1st got sat on a high table under the stairs. Head was about 2 inches under the stairs. Then got put on a big table to share with other couple who also asked to be moved. Cudnt rele get under the table as we were on the end. Don't take nothing away from the food and the service. Would definitely come again but enquire about a better seat first

Brill food would recommend canteen and cocktails to anyone. Pulled pork nachos a outstanding. Enjoyed the lunch time specials too. Good atmospher and friendly staff

First time here for Sunday lunch and it didn't disappoint it was superb. Great food, great place and great staff. Good value for money too.

Excellent food, and very friendly staff. This is a very quirky place, only the second time we've been here, but would definably go back there without any issues, look forward to the next time we go

The food is amazing and the staff are also lovely. There was a guy that seemed like a manager who was extremely lovely he had a stubble, wore glasses and a white shirt. The sunday lunch here is to die for!!!

I had the beef brisket off the menu and it has to be the best brisket ive ever had. Chosen with the gravy it complimented it. Washed down with a porn star martini. Great! Staff were so friendly too. Will definately be going back in the near future

Reserved table on line, so easy to use. Served quickly, food hot & my wife & I enjoyed our meals & drinks. Prices where good value, would go back.

Love coming here for drinks but decided to try Sunday lunch and was Gorgeous will definitely be going back for more, service was great, lovely atmosphere.

Great atmosphere and amazing food. The only criticism I have was that the table was too small otherwise we had a lovely experience and would definitely come back.

Lovely food and cocktails long tables means you share with others. The cocktails were pricey but nice. You have to order sides as extra as burgers do not come with chips etc.

Have had many good meals here. Unfortunately today ordered two meals, only one arrived. Had to wait for second one which arrived without roast potatoes. Staff told us this was because 'they were very busy. Fortunately the manager was very helpful in resolving the situation so we will return and eat here again.

Great experience with really lovely food and fab service, staff very attentive and reasonable prices. It's quite a loud restaurant on an evening but good atmosphere.
